The hiring of 87,000 new Internal Revenue Agents is designed to intimidate
American citizens into silence instead of criticizing the government. They dig
up dirt on everybody, particularly related to the tax returns, and then
threaten them with jail, or confiscation of their house, their land, their
property, if they speak up against the government, and that works like a charm.
It's no longer the gulag. They don't send you to Siberia. They just use the tax
code to do that. The massive hiring is part of some $80 billion in
congressional funding included in the recently passed $700 billion Inflation
Reduction Act, which Joe Biden is expected to sign into law in the coming days.

How the FBI Undercounts Armed Citizen Responders to Mass Killers

The shooting that killed three people and
injured another at a Greenwood, Indiana, mall on July 17 drew broad national
attention because of how it ended – when 22-year-old Elisjsha Dicken, carrying
a licensed handgun, fatally shot the attacker. While Dicken was praised for his
courage and skill – squeezing off his first shot 15 seconds after the attack
began, from a distance of 40 yards – much of the news coverage drew from
FBI-approved statistics to assert that armed citizens almost never stop such
attackers. Evidence compiled by the organization I run, the Crime Prevention
Research Center, and others suggest that the FBI undercounts, by an order of
more than three, the number of instances in which armed citizens have thwarted
such attacks, saving untold numbers of lives. Although those many news stories
about the Greenwood shooting also suggested that the defensive use of guns
might endanger others, there is no evidence that these acts have harmed innocent

Mara-a-Lago Raid Fallout is Huge

Republicans seeking office this November already had polls at
their back, putting them in lead of many, if not most, of their Democrat
contenders. But the FBI’s highly suspect raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home
has handed Republicans a golden egg. Almost 54% of Independent voters believe
the raid on Mar-a-Lago was conducted for political reasons, at the doing of Trump's
political enemies; almost 77% of Republican voters believe similarly. Sadly -
showing the divide of America and the ignorance of Democrats - only about 12%
of Democrat voters thought Trump's political enemies were pulling the strings

Japanese yen is worth $0.007 cents. That’s less than a penny. Its currency has
been losing value against the dollar since its five-year peak of $0.009 on
March 8, 2020. The European Union is one of the most powerful economies in the
world. But one euro used to get you $1.24 back in September 2017. The euro,
once sold to all as an alternative to the dollar, is now at its weakest level
in five years. Global companies repatriating profits are bringing home fewer
dollars, as some recent earnings have shown. This, coupled with a weaker global
economy and a pending recession, means less money to invest and is likely to
