California Democrats Admit It’s Unconstitutional to Ban Gun Ownership

By John Lott

Gun control advocates keep telling us that there is 90-plus percent support in polls for expanded background checks, but the support is much less solid than the media and gun control advocates would have you believe. California became the first state on Sept. 14 to officially call for a constitutional convention to allow states to approve an amendment to raise the age of gun ownership to 21, impose background checks on private transfers of guns, require waiting periods for buying guns, and enact an assault weapon ban. Democrats may not realize they are conceding that they must amend the U.S. Constitution before passing their gun control wish list. But they don’t have the votes. Democrats control the governorship and state legislature in only 17 states - far short of the 38 states needed to ratify a constitutional amendment. Nor do they have the votes in Congress. [more...]

Christian Nationalists to the Rescue! America Needs Godly Patriots

By Cheryl Chumley

If America is to survive as a free society, then those who understand God-given rights must step up and push back bureaucratic bloat.

Leftists, over the last few years, have corrupted the term “Christian nationalist” to make it seem a negative - a term to describe racists, misogynists, intolerants and haters. But it’s really the foundation of American exceptionalism. What America needs are more Christian nationalists, not fewer. That’s because America was founded largely on biblical truths and Judeo-Christian teachings. [more...]

No, the New World is Not Stolen Land

By Mark Tapson

Countering the radical assault on Western history

Last Independence Day, the social justice-conscious ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s posted a message to Twitter celebrating the nation’s founding by calling on the U.S. government to return the “stolen Indigenous land” on which the nation was formed. Ben and Jerry’s did not lead the way by committing to return the land on which their headquarters was built to the indigenous people who once owned it, so we can dismiss their statement as empty virtue-signaling. But it reflects a widespread, corrosive misconception in America and the rest of the West, that the history of European colonialism throughout the New World is nothing but one long, atrocity-punctuated narrative of genocide, exploitation, theft and oppression. Ways & Means Republicans Not Willing To “Rubber Stamp” GSP Trade Program

By Kenneth Rapoza

When it comes to the lower house of Congress, House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO-8) has taken the lead in making sure that any trade policy coming from his committee benefits U.S. producers and workers, rather than being a rubber stamp for a status quo that the International Trade Commission says benefits multinational corporations. Why Historical Statues Need to be Preserved

By James Hirsen

Centuries old historical figures and their counterpart statues are presently being deconstructed by radical, activist left-wing zealots. Rather than focusing on the character, courage, and altruism of former civic ancestors, those bent on destruction are purposefully displacing them from the context of their respective historical time periods, only to hold them to modern-day standards. The following example is one that is currently in the news... [more...]

Perry Johnson Defends Politically Persecuted from 2020

Perry Johnson, Republican presidential candidate and outsider businessman, announced he has started a PAC to raise money for those accused of crimes related to the 2020 election and committed to an impressive personal match of up to $1 million. Johnson said, "These America-loving moms, dads, grandmas, and grandpas had grievances with the 2020 election and were doing what they believed was best for their nation. These are ordinary Americans who love their country - not criminals. Political speech in this nation is protected by the first amendment and we must never criminalize it. The RNC has abandoned these people in a time of need as they continue to be persecuted. Our judicial system is founded on the principle of due process. These electors deserve a robust legal defense, and that is why I am establishing this fund, and promising to match up to $1 million as they face a tough road ahead." [more...]

Five-Plus Reasons Why Americans Should Fight the Face Masks

By Cheryl Chumley

Face mask mandates are coming back, and this is the situation: Fight them, resist them, mock them and demand the bureaucrats who issue them stand down and step aside - or America will soon see its next nationwide lockdown and loss of liberty. Face masks are the gateway for tyrants. Here are five reasons to fight the forced face-masking, beginning with the science - the stuff the forced face-masking lefties say they oh-so-always support: They don't work... [more...]

The Equalizer - Hero in a World Without Knights

By Mark Tapson

Action flicks these days aren't dominated anymore by square-jawed, one-note actors like Van Damme, Schwarzenegger, and Statham. In recent years, the leading men of the best "actioners," as they’re known in Variety-speak, are heavy-hitting thespians like Liam Neeson and Denzel Washington, whose acting chops elevate the genre to a whole new level. In The Equalizer movies, for example, Denzel brings compelling depth to a character that would be one-dimensional in a lesser talent: a chivalric hero in a world without knights. [more...]

How Can Wall Street Still Be Invested in Treasury-Sanctioned Chinese Companies?

By Kenneth Rapoza

President Trump started capital market sanctions on China in November 2020. President Biden continued and expanded the list of companies in June 2021. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) was instructed to ban Wall Street investments into dozens of Chinese defense contractors. This has been in effect since 2022. But out of a list of 70 companies, three are still in the portfolios of BlackRock and Vanguard. They seem to have escaped any scrutiny. How can Wall Street still own the stocks of these sanctioned companies? [more...]

Veterans and Suicides - It's Worse Than the VA Reports

By Tim Murphy, Author of The Christ Cure

The Veterans Administration is excluding a significant number of veterans from its annual report on suicide prevention.

September is suicide prevention month - an appropriate time to reflect on the tragedy of veteran suicides. You may have heard that "22 veterans die each day by suicide." But in 2019, that number suddenly dropped to 17 daily, according to the Veterans Administration's annual report on suicide prevention. The VA takes credit for the improvements, attributing the change to its suicide prevention programs and grants. Reducing these suicide numbers has been a major rationale for big budget increase requests for the Veterans Administration, now topping $325 billion. At first, the trend looks encouraging. Then you realize this data has serious flaws that are either intentionally manipulated to make the situation look better than it is or incredibly insensitive to veterans. [more...]

Cultural Marxism Being Used in Teacher Hiring

By James Hirsen

Cultural Marxism is a far-left intellectual movement that seeks to systematically destabilize society from within. For a considerable length of time now those who subscribe to this ideology have been hard at work materially altering the values of the Western World, with a particular emphasis on values conveyed in society’s schools. Some in the establishment media and institutional elite make the assertion that Cultural Marxism doesn’t even exist. So, what's in a name? Well in this case, it's a lack of truth in labeling. [more...]

Hunter Biden Gun Charges are Equalizers

By John Lott

As the former chief economist for the U.S. Sentencing Commission and having worked on the NICS system when I was at the U.S. DOJ, these new charges against Hunter Biden are treating him more like others. It was clear that Hunter Biden had violated more gun laws than he was originally being charged with. A good example is a case from June, the same month that Hunter Biden's plea agreement originally came out - a black woman in Virginia with no criminal history facing jail for using marijuana while possessing a handgun and making a false statement about her drug use in buying a gun. That is much more typical of how these cases are handled. Many misinterpret the low rate of prosecutions for NICS violations. The reason for the low rate of prosecutions is that virtually all these cases are false positives.

Sleep is Number One COVID Prevention

By Dr. Abhinav Singh, Author of SLEEP TO HEAL: 7 Simple Steps to Better Sleep

During the COVID-19 pandemic, humanity's sleep - collectively, globally, as a whole - was collapsing under the weight of the stress of what the government said would be our "new normal" - every person's sleep was affected. We all suffered heightened trouble with insomnia, fatigue, sleep apnea, snoring, and debilitating sleep deprivation. Being deprived of outdoor activities, exercise and fresh air was bad enough; but what they also didn't emphasize was that sleep heals almost everything. HEAL is 66% of the word HEALTH and it's right there for all of us to pay attention to in order to live a better more productive life. Proper sleep adds life to your years and years to your life. The Top Ten Woke Lies

By Mark Tapson

The Left’s social justice religion of "wokeness" has captured every corner of the culture, from education to sports, and is impacting every aspect of our lives, from bathrooms to corporate boardrooms. But it is a religion built upon false narratives, and the Freedom Center's new pamphlet, The Top Ten Woke Lies, exposes the most outrageous and damaging of those falsehoods. From "diversity is our strength" and "America is systemically racist" to lies about Critical Race Theory, gender ideology, climate change and more, The Top Ten Woke Lies knocks down the Left’s flimsy house of cards one by one, and points the way back to sanity and truth. Trade Debate Changing as Tariffs Show Their Purpose

By Kenneth Rapoza

The trade debate is changing. Gone are the days when free trade was the answer to everyone’s prayers. Even the International Trade Commission couldn’t run the numbers in a 2022 report on NAFTA and the Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement to make it look like anything more than a boom for multinationals who either shifted production to Mexico or got to sell more soybeans to the Koreans (but not more cars). The U.S. has trade deficits with both countries. [more...]

California Ends Boycott of America

By Daniel Greenfield

California, according to Gov. Newsom, is the land of freedom and opportunity where everyone with special regard for race, creed, and sexual fetish has the right to wear a mask and get castrated at taxpayers' expense. Indeed, California is so free that its government sites have a "banned states list." I don’t think that outside of the Civil War such a thing existed, but ever since Ballotharvestan became a one-party state any crazy idea that Lorena Gonzalez, Scott Weiner, and any random oil fortune heir or billionaire tech founder comes up with becomes law faster than you can say "democracy dies in woke darkness." New Mexico's Breathtaking Grab of Gun Rights Citing COVID-Like Health Emergency

By Cheryl Chumley

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Grisham 'suspended' the right to carry a firearm for 30 days - and that’s 'suspended,' in quotation marks, because she actually has no authority to do any such thing - yet she ordered it anyway citing, wait for it, wait for it, a public health emergency. “Gun violence is an epidemic,” Grisham said. Perry Johnson Starts PAC and Commits to Match $1 Million for Politically Persecuted Moms, Dads, Grandparents

Perry Johnson Starts PAC and Commits to Match $1 Million for Politically Persecuted Moms, Dads, Grandparents

These electors deserve a robust legal defense, and that is why I am establishing this fund, and promising to match up to $1 million as they face a tough road ahead."

In Michigan, prosecutors initially declined to take any action against those now facing charges from the Michigan Attorney General, with one such prosecutor saying "Based on my review of the evidence and legal authority, I do not recommend authorizing charges against the 16 Republican candidates for electors."

Donations that count toward the match can be made at defendthem.net.

Johnson’s campaign is building on an already aggressive advertising campaign, announcing a 7-figure national TV and digital buy over the coming weeks.

Should Washington Stop U.S. Investments in Chinese Companies?

By Kenneth Rapoza

Ending Wall Street's investments in China would meet a lot of resistance, including from the Treasury Department. Here's one way to make it palatable...

For much of the summer, a bipartisan group of House and Senate lawmakers has been trying to convince colleagues to restrict or ban investments in China. To them, American investors, large and small, should not be funding Chinese military equipment makers, biotech labs or companies accused of using forced labor. We have no rival like China, they say. Why keep throwing money at them so they can surpass us in every way - be it in technological prowess or military might? [more...]

The Biggest Reason to Vote Trump 2024? He Understands Individualism

By Cheryl Chumley

Donald Trump said in a series of videos on Truth Social that Americans "will not comply" with any new political push for national lockdowns on schools, businesses, churches, society, and moreover, he would "use every available authority" in his second White House term to cut federal funding for “any school, college, airline or public transportation system that imposes a mask mandate or vaccine mandate." Yes. This is music to patriots' ears. Trump gets the meaning of God-given liberties, the root of American exceptionalism. [more...]

Only Fat Dumb Criminals Can Make the Air Force 'Diverse'

By Daniel Greenfield

If diversity makes us stronger, why does it require lower standards?

Air Force Chief of Staff Charles Q. Brown Jr, Biden's nominee to replace Milley as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, had signed off on a memo to impose a 43% quota for white male officers in the Air Force. That would be catastrophic at a time when the Air Force is struggling with recruitment, faces a shortage of over 1,000 pilots and 86% of its pilots are white men. Brown, who claimed that America is racist and that he faced racism when someone questioned whether he was parked in the right spot, has been obsessed with remaking the Air Force in his own image. Even with only 1 out of 2 key aircraft and bombers ready to fly, the woke chief of staff has emphasized diversity in hiring and promotion at the expense of merit and ability. [more...]

Hollywood Actors Union Goes After Video Game Companies

By James Hirsen

For months now, the Hollywood actors union has been on strike against the movie studios. Now the union is seeking to authorize a second strike, this one involving major video game companies. The current labor actions began when the Writers' Guild of America union (WGA) went on strike in May of this year. In mid-July, the WGA was joined by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA). It was historical in nature because a simultaneous strike of both actors and writers hadn't happened in 63 years. [more...]

Nation's Discontent Burns Over Swamp's Chilling Effect on Rights

By Judd Dunning

As the liberal media focuses on the politically weaponized Trump distraction, over six alleged crimes at minimum are now directly associated with Joe Biden. These serious allegations include tax evasion and Foreign Agents Registration Act violations occurring throughout Romania, Ukraine and China. The Marco Polo report further exposed 459 alleged crimes linked to Hunter, from illicit foreign lobbying to money laundering. Our government and leadership are shamelessly elitist, corrupt, and hypocritical. We the People are beyond sick over it. And we are indeed "over it." Each passing day, paramount, disturbing questions emerge. [more...]
