Incumbent presidents usually have trouble with these first re-election debates... President Reagan lost his first re-election debate to Walter Mondale in 1984. Mitt Romney is the Smartest Guy in the Room

I made a bold prediction four months ago in media across this country - that Mitt Romney was on his way to a landslide victory over Barack Obama. I called it a repeat of Reagan’s landslide over incumbent President Jimmy Carter. Don’t look now, but that prediction just became reality. Do you hear the air hissing loudly? That’s the air coming out of Obama’s balloon. It all ended for Obama on Wednesday night. Mitt Romney is not only the smartest guy in the room (by far)…he proved it on that Presidential debate stage. Left Admits Romney Won Debate

Only one true leader showed up for last night's debate and it wasn’t the president. His shortcomings were on display for the world to see. Anyone who missed his failings either wasn’t watching or is blind to the truth. If we learned nothing else during the debate, it was that President Obama has no ideas and no concept about how to create jobs, turn the economy around and make America as great as it once was. His only ability - if he doesn’t have a teleprompter telling him what to do - is to repeat the same things over and over and hope no one is listening to Romney continually correcting him. He seems to think that repeating a lie, even in the face of direct confrontation proving him wrong, will eventually win out if you repeat it long enough. [more...]
