Hollywood Has a Case of Post-Election Remorse


A change is in the air in Hollywood and has affected the entertainment community's long-term relationship with President Obama. The same group that provided significant amounts of both public support and campaign donations during the last presidential election appears to be souring on Obama due to one major issue.

Last week director Oliver Stone was in Tokyo promoting a Showtime documentary, and used strong highly explicit language to communicate his displeasure with the president. "Obama is a snake, and we have to turn on him" Stone told the press. What prompted the filmmaker to use reptilian analogies were the reports of NSA surveillance of Americans that was revealed by the Edward Snowden leaks.
