New
Meanings for the Word "Lie"
By
Joe
Messina
This
week, Obama, Sebelius and Carney, introduced new meanings for the word
"lie." The president's speech
from Boston talked about what a success the Obamacare rollout was (insert
cricket sounds here). Seriously? If by "success," he meant the rollout
of a Web site built to gather information and allow people to sign up for "affordable
health care" where 90+% of the people attempting to sign onto it could do
nothing, and I mean truly nothing! The president stated a few facts about people that signed up
for healthcare and saved "lots of money" only to find out later that
at the time he made the speech just under 50,000 people had "signed up."
Come to find out, "signed up" actually meant "registered"
to use the site. Most people thought the president meant the folks were signed
up for their healthcare. I have registered on many Web sites for information
without signing up for the product or services. There is a difference. [more...]
Obamacare Deception
Americans
are being led down the wrong path. There has been and continues to be a
concerted effort led by the Government and encouraged by the media to make us
believe that our healthcare system was the worse system in the industrialized
world, that doctors were the cause of high healthcare costs, that if you were responsible
for paying for your own health insurance you were selfish and somehow taking it
from someone less fortunate, and that if you feel everyone has the right to
pursue economic independence without government intervention that is designed
to pick winners and losers – you hate the poor or you are racist and/or sexist.
The truth is much simpler; under the guise of liberalism and fairness, our government
has adopted the concept of central planning. We have had a concerted
globalization of our banking system (TARP), our military (subjugation of our
autonomy to the UN), and the centralization of our public education system
(first with 'no child left behind' and now with the Common Core Curriculum). It
has taken over 50 years starting with adoption of Medicare, i.e., socialized
medicine for seniors, notwithstanding the failure of Hillary care, to take over
our healthcare system with the arrival of Obamacare. [more... ]
You Can Keep Your Insurance and
Your Doctor... If Hell Freezes Over
By
Kerry
Lutz
The
President and his minions issued a number of assurances to the public during
Obamacare debate. Chief among them was that if you liked your health insurance
plan and your doctor, you would be able to keep them. Now, millions are finding
out that these statements were complete and utter lies. The price of ignorance
is often high. If people had only bothered to read, they would have understood
years ago that these guarantees were untrue. For a policy to comply with the
requirements of Obamacare, it had to offer ten certain basic benefits,
including but not limited to, abortion, birth control pills, child delivery,
mental health care and no yearly or lifetime caps for medical treatment. This
meant that not only would individual health plans be legislated out of
existence, but so would most, if not all, employer-provided insurance plans as
well. [more...]
How
to Fight and Defeat Obamacare
I would recommend that, for starters, all personal attacks
against the president should be immediately discontinued, and he should be
accorded the deference his office mandates.
The Conservative focus should instead be limited to irrefutable facts
that speak for themselves. For example, rightwing pundits or politicians might
point out that the government had three and a half years to prepare the
computer system for the Obamacare rollout, and what it finally produced has
failed miserably. Managing the actual healthcare system is an infinitely more
complex task than designing its computer system. It is thus foolhardy to
entrust the medical care of 300 million Americans to a management entity that
has proven itself to be so grossly inept. [more...]
The Employer Mandate Could be Worse than the
Obamacare Web site
If
I told you that I would sell you a Web site for a billion dollars that didn't
work, would expose everyone's personal information, and that would be an
absolute mess, you'd probably think I was crazy. However, if you work for the
Obama administration, this is just another day at the office. In just 30 days,
Americans have had their insurance policies cancelled and have been directed
towards a site called healthcare.gov to submit their personal information which
can be shared with people that you don't know who can do God knows what with
it. In just 30 days, we've seen the massive debacle that the individual mandate
of Obamacare has turned out to be. But we've yet to see the worst. [more...]
