The
Isis Threat… and more…
On
this week's POLITICAL INSIDERS, we explored the ISIS threat to

The
Business of Selling Pot in America
Jacob
Lavoro, the 19-year-old Austin, Texas man accused of making and selling
brownies laced with marijuana saw an opportunity, there was a demand in the
market, people were craving brownies sauteed in THC, and so he decided to take
a risk. This is what entrepreneurship requires from all who are willing to put
themselves out on the line for what they value. However, this kid takes the
cake in what he was willing to risk - his life. If convicted, he could end up
serving life in prison (he faces a felony charge that carries a punishment of
anywhere from five years to life in prison). Lavoro may be perceived as an
entrepreneur from one perspective; but he is a drug dealer in another’s. Some
people are under the impression that marijuana was made illegal through some
kind of scientific process, but all it takes is a little digging to get to the
dirt beneath the grass. [more...]
It's
Israel's Fault

This
fight between Israel and Hamas is Israel’s fault and I’ll tell you why. The
aggravation between these two groups has been going on for years, but this is

militants were forbidden from receiving anything from the “Zionists,” so they
destroyed most of the facilities Israel left behind. [more...]

To deduct fun activities such as tickets to a football game or golf costs, these are the overriding rules… [more...]

Stars More Popular than Hollywood Celebs

Hollywood
can’t help but take notice of the power and creativity that is being displayed
on YouTube. Tinseltown shows its fondness at times for the social media video
Web site. In March of 2014, Disney acquired Maker Studios, a highly successful
YouTube multichannel network, for $500 million. And in 2013, DreamWorks
Animation purchased a YouTube channel, AwesomenessTV, for $33 million. Warner Bros.
also bought a stake in a videogame oriented YouTube multichannel network,
Machinima, for $18 million. Recent research now indicates that YouTube has been
producing new stars that are actually more popular than traditional
entertainment celebrities, who are typically sold to the public via Hollywood
star-making machinery. [more...]
