Trump's
Triumphant Capitalist Revolution
By
Lowell Ponte
My
new book with Craig R. Smith, Money, Morality & The Machine: Smith's Law in an
Unethical, Over-Governed Age foresaw the importance of Donald
Trump's achievement. American
voters chose Donald Trump to take America back from globalist elitists such as
Hillary Clinton and President Obama who have tried to transform our country
with a flood of illegal immigrants, and to circumvent our Constitution through
Executive Orders and a weaponized bureaucracy of partisan regulatory bullies.
Trump apparently aims to replace corrupt crony capitalism with a much more
free, honest, and less taxing economic system. And he has demonstrated himself
to be a man of destiny by surviving controversies that would have destroyed an
ordinary politician. He triumphed over the global elites of both major
political parties and the press. [more...]
The TPP is a “Living Document” - What Could Possibly Go
Wrong?
By

If
you were going to create a massive 12-country trade agreement, you and the
other key players might have “things” that you wanted to put into that
agreement, yet you knew that those things would never get past Congress and the
American people. “Living document” is not an inflammatory
partisan political phrase. It’s an actual phrase in Chapter 27,
the administrative chapter of the TPP, which makes it very clear that the new
TPP Commission can make any changes that it sees fit... forever. [more...]
A
Bipartisan Way Forward on Trade
What
does the Trump win mean for trade policy and the partisan positioning? Trump
and Democrats will not agree on the Supreme Court and many other issues - we
are in for a wild ride. But they can and should agree on big changes to our destructive
trade policy. The post-World War II trading system has long been agreed
upon by the elites in both parties. That system has failed. Its victims, a/k/a
voters, have made that clear. Paul Ryan needs to change his pro-trade deal
stance to continue as a leader of his party. Democrats need to resist the urge
to retreat on trade for fear of helping advance a Trump goal. [more...]
The
‘Angry White Voter’ Election
For the past few weeks, I’ve predicted a smashing
Brexit-like Trump victory over Hillary. When I appeared on “Fox &
Friends” three weeks ago, the two political experts on the show with me both
predicted that Trump had “no path to victory” and would almost certainly lose
in a landslide, causing the GOP to lose the Congress, too. They rolled their
eyes when I told them Trump would win in a Brexit-like upset. How did I know? The answer is simple: I wrote the book “ANGRY
WHITE MALE” to describe the coming Donald Trump victory, led by 40 million
angry white males. I wrote and talked about this “ANGRY WHITE MALE” revolution
in hundreds of media interviews and commentaries - including Fox News. [more...]
Israeli
Conservatives Celebrate Trump Win
Israel
Chairman of Republicans overseas Marc Zell gave thanks at the Western Wall
Wednesday for Donald J. Trump’s election as U.S. president. Wearing suit and
tie and a white “Make America Great Again” baseball cap, the co-chair of
Republicans Overseas Israel donned phylacteries, danced with ultra-Orthodox
worshipers and recited verses of thanksgiving from Psalms. He also wrote a
note, apparently containing a wish, and placed it into the ancient stones of
the wall. “I came here simply because I wanted to express my feeling of
gratitude to the Holy One, Blessed be He, for what he gave us, for what he gave
Donald Trump and [vice-president-elect] Mike Pence and the entire team, also in
Israel and across the world,” Marc Zell told reporters. [more...]
