Arpaio is Free
By

Messina
The
Left is outraged again (SURPRISE!) at President Trump. This time for pardoning
Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Do I agree with the pardon? No. In my opinion, Trump should
have waited for the appeal because I believe Arpaio would have been found
innocent, but so be it. President Trump, like every other President, had the
right to pardon or commute the sentence of whomever he wants. The ONLY time he
can’t is if it is an impeachable offense. Otherwise, even if the offense is
corruption, the pardon stands. President Trump is standing up for law
enforcement as he said he would during his campaign by granting Sheriff Joe a
pardon. [more...]
NAFTA Withdrawal
Unlikely to Cause U.S. Consumer Harm
President
Trump raised the possibility of withdrawing from the North American Free Trade
Agreement last week in an Arizona speech: “Personally, I don't think we can
make a deal ... I think we'll end up probably terminating NAFTA at some
point," Trump said. Contrary to what you hear in the mainstream media, a NAFTA
withdrawal would be unlikely to cause harm to consumers. A detailed CPA
analysis reveals that a complete U.S. withdrawal from NAFTA would have a tiny
effect on U.S. consumer prices. Our investigation shows that many of the most
alarming claims are simply scare tactics, often instigated by the “Import
Lobby”, i.e. multinationals and trade associations that have long favored
imports over U.S. production. [more...]
Blacklist America &
the White Supremacist Black Church
The
ATLAH World Missionary Church is located in the heart of Harlem right off
Malcolm X Boulevard. Pastor David Manning grew up picking cotton in the
segregated South. The African-American church and its pastor have had plenty of
critics over the years, but none have accused them of white supremacy... until
now. Color of Change has rolled out its version of the Southern Poverty Law
Center blacklist. The race-baiting group, co-founded by CNN’s Van Jones, put up
a petition demanding that credit card companies stop taking “blood money” by
“processing funds for over 100 white supremacist hate groups.” The Color of
Change list of “white supremacist hate groups” includes Pastor Manning’s black
church. [more...]
Trump’s Response to
Hurricane Harvey
President
Trump wasted no time preparing his administration to deal with a devastating
hurricane. On Wednesday, August 23rd, he ordered Federal aid be made available
to supplement both state and local resources. On Friday, August 25th, he signed
a Disaster Proclamation that allowed the full array of Federal disaster
resources to come into play. Trump acted quickly when requested by Gov. Greg
Abbott. Following Trump’s call for preparations and his Disaster Proclamation,
resources were made available to assist states and local authorities deal with
Hurricane Harvey. Here are just a few examples... [more...]
Why the Left Hates the
President and the Nation He Heads
The
biggest hate group in America - by a wide margin - is the anti-Trump chorus,
which has advanced from calling him “unfit to be president” to accusing him (in
the words of CNN’s Ana Navarro) of being “unfit to be human.” In between are
malignant accusations that he is a “neo-Nazi,” a “white nationalist” and a
“white supremacist” – all revelations about Trump’s character that somehow
remained hidden during the thirty years he was a public figure and before he
ran against Hillary Clinton. The political left is relentless in its commitment
to identity politics, which is a not so subtle form of racism. This animus is
rooted in a racial and gender collectivism that is antagonistic to the
fundamental American idea of individual rights applied universally and without
regard to origins - to race, ethnicity or gender. The war to defend this idea
is what created Trump’s candidacy and has shaped his political persona. [more...]
