Big Dogs of TX - 18,000 Public Employees Make $100K+ Costing Taxpayers $2.1B
By
Adam Andrzejewski, Author of Operation Drain the Swamp
Who
are the most highly compensated public employees in Texas municipal
government? We found a who’s who of public servants who learned how
to game the system for personal gain. The latest public employee salary data from
fiscal year 2017 shows Texas local government needs far more
scrutiny. With many Americans focused on Washington, D.C., citizens aren’t
doing enough to stop taxpayer abuse in their own backyards. In Texas, 17,633
public employees working for cities, towns, and counties made $100,000 or more
and cost taxpayers $2.1 billion. Almost 1,900 of these “big dogs” made more
than $150,000 and out-earned Governor Greg Abbott. [more...]
Jihadis Infiltrating
the Migrant Caravans
By
Jamie Glazov
In
light of the Democrats’ current resistance to President Trump’s effort to build
a wall on our southern border, I think it's important to bring attention to the Jihadis who are perpetually making efforts to enter America
through the southern border. To be sure, there is a great cause for
concern that Jihadis have infiltrated the migrant caravans
that keep trying to invade our nation. Islamic State Jihadis, for example, are
already known to have entered Guatemala – and, among
numerous other Jihadist threats, there is considerable Hezbollah activity in
Latin America, which, as experts have warned for years, poses
a grave danger to the United States. [more...]
News Media are Leftist
Liars
By

In
the most recent debacle of media malpractice, CNN and MSNBC repeatedly floated
impeachment on the Buzzfeed report over 200 times. No wonder you never hear the
anti-Trump media (which is most of it) go near a blockbuster story such as the
phony dossier. The FBI knew it was paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC; and
it was used to obtain an illegal FISA warrant to surveil Trump and his
associates. To watch the media tacitly ignore the biggest corruption story
perhaps in our lifetimes, and scream, “impeachment! impeachment!” over yet
another false report perfectly illustrates that they’ve been crying wolf from
the very beginning. Except this time, they were caught very publicly. Even
their minions are being forced to admit that they fouled up royally. [more...]
Gladys
Knight Takes a Stand for the National Anthem
By
James
Hirsen
Gladys
Knight earned the nickname “Empress of Soul” for good reason. The hit songs
that she and her band mates, the Pips, delivered throughout the 1960s, ‘70s,
and ‘80s left a unique gospel-pop imprint on the pages of American music
history. It is for this and so many other reasons that Knight seems to be the
perfect voice to lend dignity and beauty to professional football’s great
national anthem moment at Super Bowl LIII on February 3 in Atlanta, Georgia,
where the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots will battle to determine
which team will ultimately secure the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy. Look for
“The Star-Spangled Banner” performed by Knight to provide a graceful air of
decorum to the pre-game ceremony and give an assist to a National Football
League (NFL) in need of an image boost after suffering through the aftermath of
some high-profile political posturing. [more...]
The New Politics of Advertising
By
Lowell Ponte
The
logic of business used to be to avoid saying anything that might offend the
customer, who is “always right.” The new advertising readily gambles with
offending customers who are right, because young people who are making lifetime
preferred-brand decisions hold views on the left. In other words, everything is
becoming politicized, so what a company says must be political or ideological,
too. This may alienate older customers, but it will win a lifetime of loyalty
from young ones. To older observers, capitalist companies embracing socialist
progressive ideology seems suicidal. As the founder of the late Soviet Union,
Vladimir Lenin, said: “We will hang the last capitalist with a rope sold to us
by a capitalist.” [more...]
Feminist Identity Politics in the New Congress and
the Annual March
By Dawn Perlmutter
The
women’s movement gained momentum after Justice Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court
confirmation hearings were turned into a circus by Christine Ford’s unproven
allegations. "P---y hats" were traded in for "I believe
her" buttons and truth was replaced with mythology. Ford became the origin
of the feminist myth of 21st century, institutionalized sexism and the patron
saint of alleged sexual assault. The popularity of the new Ford folk saint was
used by Democrat activists as a method to demonize men, inculcate fear, promote
victimhood, silence criticism, and get the vote out just in time for the
midterm elections. Christine Ford’s canonization served its function, resulting
in dozens of women getting elected based on identity politics and the feminist
cult of victimhood. [more...]
