An Unprecedented Profit Opportunity for Stock Investors
By Crista Huff
There’s a profound and interesting change unfolding in the stock
market. One by one, alternative asset managers are changing their business
structures from limited partnerships to corporations. A wide variety of
investors have been capitalizing on these situations, and it’s not too late for
you to find ways to also join this investment party. Let’s examine the major
players and where they stand in the corporate conversion process. The
alternative asset management industry is made up of investment companies that
invest in private equity, real estate, businesses, lower-rated credit, hedge
funds and other ventures outside of the typical public stock and bond realm.
The industry has traditionally consisted of limited partnership business
entities. [more...]
John Solomon's Mueller Probe Conclusions Examined
By James Davidson, Former FBI Agent & President
of ProtectTheFBI.org
The conclusions John Solomon drew from his recent interview with
Oleg Deripaska, the Russian oligarch, Putin confidante, and self-described
international power broker (Russian oligarch's story could
spell trouble for Team Mueller, The Hill, 07/02/19) are based on a
series of Deripaska claims that confirm a bias Solomon already has or that he
wants his readers to adopt. The bias is that there was something materially
wrong with the special counsel’s investigation, either regarding its
predication, its tactics, or its judgment. Consequently, this is the lens
through which Solomon views Deripaska’s “revelations.” Interestingly, Solomon
treats Deripaska's information about his past dealings with the FBI in much the
same way he believes the FBI treated information from Christopher Steele. [more...]
U.S. Trade Deficit Leaps to $55.5B in May, But China Deficit
Down in 2019
By Jeff Ferry
The U.S. trade deficit jumped 8.4 percent in May, to $55.5
billion, as compared to April’s $51.2 billion, according to data published by
the Department of Commerce. On a year-on-year basis, the jump was even larger,
up 25.2 percent over the May 2018 figure of $44.4 billion. However,
monthly data is highly volatile. The year-to-date figures show that in the
first five months of 2019, our trade deficit rose just 6.4 percent, to $261.4
billion. That’s a big improvement in the growth rate over the picture in 2018,
when our annual trade deficit rose 14.1 percent to $627.7 billion. In 2018, our
economy has grown roughly 3 percent, and we saw a similar growth rate in the
first quarter of this year. This suggests our economy is now growing with less
of a propensity to suck in imports. [more...]
The Propaganda Media Continues to Lie
By Karen Kataline
The virulent establishment media is still trying every smear in
the book to destroy a President who continues to become more popular because of
his results. They have accused him of racism, mental illness, sloth, treason
and even obesity. It doesn’t matter. When the facts indicate that this and
so much more is a flat-out lie, (Trump is probably a little overweight even
without his bullet-proof vest) they aren’t ever held accountable. Yet,
people continue to watch and listen to them, grasping for a shred of truth in
the heapin’ helpin’ of lies they dish out every day. About the only real
accountability we’ve seen is that CNN lost about 50% of its audience after they
finally announced that there was no collusion in the Mueller investigation. Nonetheless,
they haven’t skipped a beat in their desperate attempt to smear and destroy the
President. [more...]
Corporate Virtue Signaling
By James Hirsen
Colin Kaepernick recently voiced his complaints to Nike
executives about the company’s plans to release patriotic themed sneakers that
featured a Betsy Ross flag on the shoes. The sports apparel firm responded to
the former NFL quarterback’s politically correct ridiculousness with complete
capitulation and proceeded to pull the Air Max 1 USA shoe from the market. Nike
actually has a history of pandering to the left, which started well before the
recent sneaker fiasco took place. The company offended a whole slew of its
customers when it named the National Anthem-kneeling Kaepernick as the face of
its formerly successful “Just Do It” campaign. Nike is not alone in its mixing
of business and politics. [more...]
Terminating Thomas Jefferson
By Lowell Ponte
The elected leaders of Thomas Jefferson's hometown of Charlottesville,
Virginia, have voted to stop celebrating April 13 as a holiday. Instead, they
will celebrate "Liberation and Freedom Day" each March 3 - the day in
1865 when Union troops occupied the town, liberated the slaves, and
"enslaved" white Confederates, few of whom ever owned slaves. This
ongoing Orwellian revision of history made Charlottesville a town of confrontation
in 2017 when purported "white nationalists" clashed with the leftist
thugs of Antifa over whether to tear down a statue of Confederate Gen.
Robert E. Lee. The media has lied about the event ever since. [more...]
