Antisemitism is Moving from Fringe to Mainstream

Hate crimes and harassment against Jews in the United States have risen in the past four years - some on the deadliest scale in American history. An important thing to look at is if the ideas behind these crimes are spreading. If the ideas spread, the incidents will rise. On the Internet, there are about 38 active American white supremacist groups with individuals and online platforms totaling 3.5 million followers or less. In America’s mostly left-wing college environment, a few hundred antisemitic incidents were reported in the first half of 2018. This phenomenon has intensified in the past few years and is often Israel-related. Expressing solidarity with Israel has become dangerous these days. Radical anti-Israel groups have gone as far as calling for the genocide of Jews and threatened Jews regardless of their position on Israel. [more...]

A hero of the Left has passed away. One of the most famous undead people in the world, the Islamic State (ISIS) caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been reported dead yet again, and this time it actually appears to be true. The Washington Post headlined its story about the killing as if Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was one of their favored anti-Trump intellectuals, dead at a tragically young age: “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic State, dies at 48.” Bloomberg wrote that “Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi transformed himself from a little-known teacher of Koranic recitation into the self-proclaimed ruler of an entity that covered swaths of Syria and Iraq.” The respect! High Court Lets Anti-Christian Ruling Stand

The U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled on a profoundly significant case involving the religious rights of all Americans, and more specifically, the rights of our nation’s schoolchildren, which are safeguarded and secured by the all-important words contained in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The High Court declined to review an appeal submitted on behalf of a public high school student and a Christian, Caleigh Wood, who refused to compromise her religious beliefs by participating in a class assignment that was overtly anti-Christian in nature. What conflicted with young Caleigh’s deeply held tenets of faith was a Muslim conversion prayer, which was part and parcel of the curricular assignment of a required course. [more...]

As recently as 2015, the Left has been pushing the narrative that there is no real difference between men and women. A plethora of articles in parenting magazines and Mommy blogs authoritatively told parents that all boys should play with dolls. About the same time, complaints abounded that traditional toys for girls were too passive because they discouraged girls from developing interests in science, math and building things. Fast forward not even a half a decade and we’ve leaped into a bizarre-o world of contradictions where masculinity itself is "toxic," and women are portrayed as hothouse flowers.
