A Critical Event in the War to Save the Republic

By Colonel (Retired) John Mills, Author of The Nation Will Follow

Judge Terry A. Doughty's decision on July 4th has changed the course of the war

His decision in short has turned off the regular coordination between the Federal Government and social media. This regular interaction started in the late 2000's. At the time it seemed like a good idea. I was one of the key figures in establishing the original relationship. It was supposed to help government leverage the innovation of Silicon Valley and find mutual synergies. It has gone off the rails and become the foundation of mass surveillance and censorship. There is no basis in law for these actions. [more...]

How Gun-Hating Media Use Slanted Surveys to Manipulate Public Opinion

By John Lott

Organizations such as NPR and PBS spend our tax dollars on surveys that paint gun control in the best possible light.

Gun control advocates often point to polls showing overwhelming support for gun control. For instance, in May, a headline for an NPR/PBS Newshour survey proclaimed: "Most Americans say curbing gun violence is more important than gun rights." But is that really the choice Americans face on gun control? [more...]

Senate Takes Turn to End China Profiting Off of U.S. Federal Pensions

By Kenneth Rapoza

Last week, House Republican leadership opted not to include an amendment that would have banned China securities from the retirement funds offered to federal government employees and the military. The amendment was put forth by Rep. Mike Waltz (R-FL) in the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which passed last week. Elsewhere in Florida, however, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) has brought up the issue again for the Senate version of the NDAA. [more...]

As VP, Joe Biden Took Part in Burisma Calls

By Daniel Greenfield

Devon Archer was Hunter Biden’s go-to-guy, his pal and partner, who was always there in the room. His testimony is expected to be big and massively devastating because it establishes that Joe Biden lied. That's usually been the strategy, but unlike introducing their partners to Joe Biden, something Hunter and James Biden both allegedly did, having him sit on a phone call with his son's business partners only cuts one way. This isn't a fundraiser or a party; Joe Biden was knowingly providing the perception that Hunter’s business deals with Burisma had cover at the White House. Furthermore, Joe Biden’s intervention to get a prosecutor investigating Burisma fired shows he delivered. [more...]

Country Star Challenges America's Culture of Crime

By Mark Tapson

And pro-crime "progressives" explode in rage.

For decades, 'gangsta' rappers have raked in money, fame, and recording industry awards hand-over-fist by promoting a culture of violence, drugs, crime, misogyny, hedonism, and greed. There has been not a peep of an objection from the Progressive Left to the damage this has done and continues to do to generations of young people, especially in poor inner-city communities, where rappers, gang members, and drug dealers are idolized and emulated by far too many. But let one country music star complain that American cities have degenerated into a wasteland of lawlessness and chaos, and triggered leftists leap to smear him publicly as a violent racist. Retired FBI Senior Official McGonigal was Central in the Spying on Trump

By Colonel (Retired) John Mills

Retired FBI Senior Official Charles McGonigal was central in the spying on Trump with his position as former head of Counterintelligence in the New York Field Office. McGonigal was the central FBI official in the middle of the now disgraced and debunked "Russia, Russia, Russia" fraud and is facing multiple felony charges for money laundering, making false statements, and violating sanctions. The Durham Report also detailed five criminal referrals, three of which trace to information provided by me. [more...]

Guns Are Not the Leading Cause of Children's Deaths

By John Lott

A favorite talking point from the Biden White House is that guns are the leading cause of children's deaths. The problem is that it is false. "The number one cause of death of the children in America is gun violence," Vice President Kamala Harris claimed on June 2. The White House tweeted, "Guns are the #1 KILLER of CHILDREN," Biden has made the same claim multiple times this year. Even if we are counting 17-year-old gang members as "children," the White House's claim is incorrect. In 2019 and 2020, more minors died from suffocation. [more...]

Government Pension Fund Managers Invested in China Fail to Preserve Retirement Savings

By Kenneth Rapoza

Should the U.S. government remove China stocks from its pension funds? The House just rejected an amendment to do just that in the National Defense Authorization Act, but there is a chance the Senate, led by Marco Rubio, will include such a move. Wall Street and pension fund managers in general believe it is their fiduciary duty to invest in the world's number two economy. But here is what happened to that money invested in China, both mainland and Hong Kong shares, as well as three companies and three major sectors of the global economy - including Alibaba, China's Amazon, and Geely's, which owns the Tesla rival Polestar. How are those China stocks doing for you? Here's a closer look... [more...]

The Right Way to Remember Jesse Jackson

By Daniel Greenfield

Kamala Harris flew out to honor racist leader Jesse Jackson by claiming that “he defined the rainbow!” Jesse didn't define the rainbow, but he did threaten to castrate Obama on live television. Biden issued a statement praising the racist whose presidential campaign was sabotaged when he used an antisemitic slur. More accurately, Jesse Jackson was a bigot who stood with bigots like Louis Farrakhan. Here are some highlights about the hateful reverend from Discover the Networks... who was also a compulsive liar. [more...]

The NEA's Recommended Summer Reading is All About Social Justice

By Mark Tapson

The classics are out, "Gender Queer" is in.

The ranks of today's educators are overwhelmingly dominated by race-and-gender ideologues who are passionate not about passing down to the next generation the West's glorious legacy of "the best that has been thought and said," but about churning out a generation of students completely disconnected from that legacy and indoctrinated into social justice activism. (And not just in university classrooms; the rot has filtered all the way down now to pre-k.) Toward that end, educators aren't spending their summer vacation refamiliarizing themselves with the ideas of Isaac Newton or the poetry of Chaucer or the dramatic storytelling of the ancient Greeks. Instead, they're wading in the shallows of contemporary pop culture, soaking up the distorted worldview of critical theory, and immersing themselves in radical pedagogy that will not open young minds but shut them tight. Black Grievances and White Guilt

By Michael Brandow

We hear it every day in the news - they want reparations, America is systematically racist - you name it. Here's the answer to all those characterizations that plague America: What's the Problem Now? Black Grievances and White Guilt is a new satirical book by social commentator, Michael Brandow, a modern-day combination of Joan Rivers and Lenny Bruce. It is an 'old white guy's' witty and insightful account of his struggle to survive in New York City without becoming an actual racist. He says right out loud what the rest of us are thinking. Federal Action to Reduce Violence Should Focus on Mental Health

By Tim Murphy, Author of The Christ Cure

Those who need help most face the greatest difficulty in getting treatment.

While the students in Parkland plan their actions to get legislative attention, Congress is still wrestling with what to do. Gun-access restrictions, security measures, and arming teachers are all on the table. We've seen this before: lawmakers focusing more on what is in someone's hands than on what is in his mind. The president has rightly said this is partly a mental-health issue that must be addressed. If lawmakers want to make a difference and not just a law, they will act on the understanding that improving mental-health treatment rather than gun laws is the most cost-effective way to save lives. [more...]

Government Incentives for Niche Sectors of Economy Leads to "Manufacturing Boom"

By Kenneth Rapoza

There is a "manufacturing boom" taking place in the U.S., if you had not noticed, and it is mostly due to incentives for solar and new energy technologies like EV batteries in the Inflation Reduction Act, and semiconductors in the CHIPS Act, the Wall Street Journal says. On June 26, the Commerce Department reported May construction spending figures, with overall spending rising a seasonally adjusted 0.9% from a month earlier. An important piece of that was spending on the construction of manufacturing facilities. This was up 1% in May from April, or 76.3% from a year earlier, the WSJ reported. [more...]

What is NATO Actually For?

By Daniel Greenfield

Governments, once created, are all but impossible to uncreate even if no one can precisely define what they're for. Take NATO. During the Cold War, its purpose was fairly obvious; after the Cold War it doesn't really have one. Ukraine's request to join NATO is helpfully clarifying in that sense. Having Ukraine join NATO would pretty clearly define its mission as countering Russia. But then again that's why countries like Poland wanted to be part of NATO to begin with. Eastern Europe doesn't especially like Western Europe, but the latter has useful markets and an even more useful military to keep the Russians from reclaiming their empire. [more...]

GOP Notches a Victory Battle for Healthcare

By Sally Pipes

Any time lawmakers can introduce greater choice and dynamism into the health insurance market, patients benefit. The CHOICE Arrangement Act, which passed the House last month, is a perfect example. The bill would codify the so-called "individual coverage health reimbursement arrangements," or ICHRAs, established through executive order by President Trump in 2019. ICHRAs allow employers to offer their workers tax-free cash to help pay for coverage on the individual market. As such, they represent a more personalized and portable alternative to employer-sponsored health insurance - something many Americans would gladly welcome. [more...]

My Latest Interview with President Trump

By Wayne Allyn Root, Author of The Great Patriot BUY-cott Book

I’m proud and honored to call President Donald J. Trump a friend. And even more proud that I just had an exclusive interview with the 45th president of the United States. Here are the highlights. I started the interview with a revelation. The man is the most popular human being on planet Earth. I'm a witness. In our interview, Trump took the gloves off. "Joe Biden is a stone-cold crook... common thief... low life... and a stupid person. Biden and his people are bad people. Not just incompetent... bad people. Who would want an open border? They know what they're doing." [Read on...]
