California Democrats Admit It’s Unconstitutional to Ban Gun
Ownership
By John Lott
Gun control advocates keep telling us that there is 90-plus percent support in polls for expanded background checks, but the support is much less solid than the media and gun control advocates would have you believe. California became the first state on Sept. 14 to officially call for a constitutional convention to allow states to approve an amendment to raise the age of gun ownership to 21, impose background checks on private transfers of guns, require waiting periods for buying guns, and enact an assault weapon ban. Democrats may not realize they are conceding that they must amend the U.S. Constitution before passing their gun control wish list. But they don’t have the votes. Democrats control the governorship and state legislature in only 17 states - far short of the 38 states needed to ratify a constitutional amendment. Nor do they have the votes in Congress. [more...]
Christian Nationalists to the Rescue! America Needs Godly
Patriots
If America is to survive as a free society, then those who understand God-given rights must step up and push back bureaucratic bloat.
Leftists, over the last few years, have corrupted the term “Christian
nationalist” to make it seem a negative - a term to describe racists,
misogynists, intolerants and haters. But it’s really the foundation of American
exceptionalism. What America needs are more Christian nationalists, not
fewer. That’s because America was founded largely on biblical truths and
Judeo-Christian teachings. [more...]
No, the New World is Not Stolen Land
By Mark Tapson
Countering the radical assault on Western history
Last Independence Day, the social
justice-conscious ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s posted a
message to Twitter celebrating the nation’s founding by calling on the
U.S. government to return the “stolen Indigenous land” on which the nation was
formed. Ben and Jerry’s did not lead the way by committing to return the
land on which their headquarters was built to the indigenous people who once
owned it, so we can dismiss their statement as empty virtue-signaling. But it
reflects a widespread, corrosive misconception in America and the rest of the
West, that the history of European colonialism throughout the New World is
nothing but one long, atrocity-punctuated narrative of genocide, exploitation,
theft and oppression. [more...]
Ways & Means Republicans Not Willing To “Rubber Stamp” GSP
Trade Program
When it comes to the lower house of Congress,
House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO-8) has taken the
lead in making sure that any trade policy coming from his committee benefits
U.S. producers and workers, rather than being a rubber stamp for a status quo
that the International Trade Commission says benefits
multinational corporations. [more...]
Why Historical Statues Need to be Preserved
By James Hirsen
Centuries old historical figures and their counterpart statues
are presently being deconstructed by radical, activist left-wing zealots. Rather
than focusing on the character, courage, and altruism of former civic
ancestors, those bent on destruction are purposefully displacing them from the
context of their respective historical time periods, only to hold them to
modern-day standards. The following example is one that is currently in the
news... [more...]
Perry Johnson Defends Politically Persecuted from 2020
Perry
Johnson, Republican presidential candidate and outsider businessman,
announced he has started a PAC to raise money for those accused of crimes
related to the 2020 election and committed to an impressive personal match of
up to $1 million. Johnson said, "These America-loving moms, dads, grandmas, and
grandpas had grievances with the 2020 election and were doing what they
believed was best for their nation. These are ordinary Americans who love their
country - not criminals. Political speech in this nation is protected by the
first amendment and we must never criminalize it. The RNC has abandoned these
people in a time of need as they continue to be persecuted. Our judicial system
is founded on the principle of due process. These electors deserve a robust
legal defense, and that is why I am establishing this fund, and promising to
match up to $1 million as they face a tough road ahead." [more...]
