Biden is a Dangerous Leader for
the Times
While Israelis were getting bombed, Joe Biden was barbecuing
and influential members serving this administration were busily helping spy for
Iran. Any questions? Biden isn’t just bad for America; he’s dangerous to the
world. A weak America emboldens the evil players of the world. And that’s just
what’s happened under this Biden administration. [more...]
U.S. Textile Industry Faced with Flooded Asian Goods, Ask Senate
for Help
The U.S. textile industry – from yarn to finished products like
T-shirts – is seeing an increase in products coming into the country and is at
wit’s end to hold onto market share. Part of it is coming in through de
minimis, the rest is coming through traditional channels, including from China,
where the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Law (UFLPA) was supposed to curtail
imports of goods made from cotton in Xinjiang. Mostly all of China’s cotton is
sourced from there, a place believed to be crawling with forced labor and
prison labor programs. Late last month, industry representatives asked the
Senate for some help. [more...]
Black Lives Matter Endorses Hamas Murder of Babies
BLM Grassroots is feuding with the original
BLM. It’s dominated by Melina Abdullah, the former chair of pan-African studies
at California State University, who is violently antisemitic. So, the
BLM Grassroots statement endorsing the Hamas kidnapping, murder, rape and
torture of women and children comes as little surprise. Abdullah had previously
linked BLM to supporting Islamic terrorism against Israel. Now in the face of
the Hamas attacks, BLM Grassroots declared that “resistance must not be condemned
but understood as a desperate act of self-defense.” How raping girls and
killing babies is a “desperate act of self-defense” is something Abdullah might
help clarify. [more...]
3% of Jewish Population in Israel Carry Guns
By John Lott
Hamas attacked as Israelis were wrapping up the seven-day-long
Jewish festival of Sukkot on Saturday. By Sunday, over 700 Israelis and some Americans had
been murdered, thousands wounded, and hundreds more taken hostage. Hamas
terrorists went into civilian areas and attacked defenseless people walking
down the streets or shopping in stores. On September 20th, the Jerusalem
Post headline prophetically warned: “Israelis should carry guns on Yom
Kippur, police say.” But as of 2022, only 148,000 Israelis carried permitted
guns in public for protection – just 3% of the adult, Jewish population. Twenty
years earlier, more than 10% of adult Jews had permits. Israeli opposition
leader Yair Lapid called the
recent police statement “dangerous.” He echoed sentiments common among
Democrats in the United States: “Calling the citizens of Israel to come with
weapons to the synagogue on Yom Kippur is not a security policy, it is
dangerous populism.” Concealed carry is now much more widespread in the United
States than in Israel. In 2022, 8.5%
of American adults had permits.
The Victory that Saved Western Civilization
By Mark Tapson
This week in October marks the anniversary of an epic event that
is not widely known except among history buffs, but which nonetheless
dramatically shaped the future of the Western world, and which may still hold
inspiration for us in the West today. After the death of the Muslim prophet
Muhammad in 632, Islam spread like a bloody tide throughout the Arabian
Peninsula, north to the Caspian Sea and east through Persia and beyond,
westward through Egypt and across North Africa all the way to the Atlantic Ocean.
From there it crossed the Straits of Gibraltar and consumed virtually all of
the Iberian Peninsula, or al-Andalus as the Saracens called it. In a mere one
hundred years, the warlord Muhammad’s imperialist legacy was an empire larger
than Rome’s had ever been. [more...]
Sharon Stone’s Hollywood Lesson
By James Hirsen
For an individual, life in the fame lane can take you from the
highest of highs to the lowest of lows. Stone has lived it. In People magazine
this month, she shares her
story of survival and serves as an example of the triumph of the human spirit. She
does offer the following admonition, though: “If you want to live with solid
citizens, don’t come to Hollywood.” [more...]
