Survey: 70 Percent of Egyptian Voters Favor Draft Sharia Constitution

70 percent of Egyptians favor the new sharia draft constitution - true or false? Only the ballot box knows for sure. So why are Egypt's "liberals" and "secularists" rioting to prevent a national referendum? From the Vancouver Sun: Egypt's vice-president Mahmoud Mekki floated the possibility late Friday that the Islamist government might postpone a referendum on a hugely controversial draft constitution that critics have condemned because they believe it gives some powers to unelected Islamic scholars and ignores the rights of women and the country's Coptic Christian minority. Tens of thousands of protesters continued to mass in the dark outside the presidential palace early Saturday. At one point some of them broke through a hastily erected outer concrete barrier and clambered on tanks.  [more...]

Barbarians Versus Barbarians in Syria

At least forty thousand people have lost their lives to date during the 21-month war in Syria. Vince Vaughn Teams Up with Glenn Beck to Produce New Reality TV Show

A new production duo is gearing up to make its Internet television entrance, and the pair involved may end up surprising even the most imaginative industry insiders out there. “Wedding Crashers” star Vince Vaughn has partnered up with radio talk show personality and former Fox News host Glenn Beck to produce a new reality show called “Pursuit of Truth.” The contest-type show is scheduled to be aired on Beck’s TheBlaze TV in the spring of 2013. The “Pursuit of Truth” will feature 20 competing participants, all of whom will be documentary filmmakers. Reality show contestants will vie for the grand prize of a budding movie producer’s dreams, a financing and distribution package for a documentary film. [more...]

Michelle Malkin Credits EAG for Breaking Union Propaganda Video Story

Malkin writes: "Message for wealth-bashing millionaire actor Ed Asner: Man up and take responsibility for lying to America’s schoolchildren. Confronted by a producer for Fox News Channel’s 'Hannity,' the left-wing celebrity claimed he couldn’t remember 'a thing (he) said' on a vile propaganda video produced and published by the California Federation of Teachers. Asner narrated the unforgettable eight-minute anti-capitalist screed geared toward children. Think Occupy Wall Street meets Sesame Street. 'Things go downhill in a happy and prosperous land after the rich decide they don’t want to pay taxes anymore,' Asner warbles in a folksy grandpa voice. After education reform journalist Kyle Olson of EAGNews.org blew the whistle on the film’s vulgar cartoon depiction of a 'rich' man urinating on the 'poor,' the teachers union whitewashed the animated images from the video."
