The
Original Employer Mandate Lawsuit
On
October 1, 2013 I filed a lawsuit
against four components of the Obama administration regarding the illegal
cancellation of the employer mandate. The predicate of my claim to standing was
the fact that I paid attorneys' fees and invested my time, energy, and
resources to be sure that my orthodontic business was in compliance with a law
that I didn’t agree with. Speaker Boehner filed suit on the employer mandate as
well, claiming institutional standing. I wish him the best of luck with his
case and glad to see that he joined my efforts, although it is more than one
year later and we are already at the level of the 11th Circuit Court. If we are
given standing on our case, the House will be required to discontinue its case.
One of the prerequisites of pursuing litigation is that the House would be
unable to do so if there is a private case that achieves standing on the same
subject, the employer mandate. [more...]
Oscar
Season Picks

It's
that time of year again, the Oscar season, that is, and the Hollywood campaigns
are in full swing. The Academy requires a film to be released prior to the end
of the year in question in order to qualify for an award, and because of this a
slew of Oscar-seeking cinema is just about to hit the theaters. Interestingly,
to compete for an Academy Award, movies are also required to be up on screens
for a full week within the year of consideration, which means the last chance
for any would-be Oscar contender to be released is on Christmas Day. Consequently,
this year Santa will be delivering a sizable sack-full of film debuts that deal
with not so jolly subjects, the reason being these are the types of movies that
are considered by critics to be more Oscar worthy. [more...]
Undocumented?
By Bill Tatro
If
I understood the President correctly, the 4.4 million immigrants who just got
their "get out of jail free card" are no longer considered illegal;
they are simply called the UNDOCUMENTED. The President, as usual, referenced a
young woman who had been in the U.S. illegally - I mean UNDOCUMENTED - since she was 4 years old. Apparently Mom and Dad
were also illegal, or rather, UNDOCUMENTED.
She is now a college student working on her third degree. A very admirable
story. She beat the system and now can come out of the shadows. She will not be
able to vote, for now, nor will she be able to have access to Obamacare, for
now, but there is always the ER. Time and the realization of who she will vote
for will change all that. [more...]
Sheriff
Believes 'Criminal Activity' Occurring at Taxpayer-Funded School Sex Conference
By
Kyle Olson
Believing
there may be some "criminal activity" going on at a taxpayer-funded
school sex conference, the local sheriff is seeking to shut it down. Sheriff
Tom Bergin says he's reached out to the Clatsop County District Attorney
because he believes "there may be some criminal activity at the
conference," according to KOIN. The Oregon House of Representatives
education committee may also look into the conference that reportedly taught students
"how to access cybersex and even were encouraged to Skype each other while
masturbating." [more...]
Our
Emperor and Chief
By
Joe

Just
like Hitler, Stalin, and Mao Tse-tung before him, Mr. Obama has been openly
laying out his plan in his speeches across the country - in his words as
dictated by his teleprompter. On many occasions he reiterated that he lacked
the legal authority to take action on the immigration issue. He admitted that
there were presidents before him that broke that law and that he was going to
hide behind them and break the law himself... because he's a "take action"
kind of guy. Hello, Mr. President, are you now saying that you have the right
to break the law because others before you have done it? [more...]
Are Our Political Leaders
Making the U.S. Into a Banana Republic?
What
is President Obama's real political
agenda with his executive action on immigration? Will the Congressional
Republicans overreact or cleverly deal with the White House? Where is their
immigration plan? Why can’t Keystone pass the Senate when so many Americans
favor it? Why does the media give the administration a pass when they overinflate
the Obamacare sign-up numbers? This – and much more – will be discussed by the POLITICAL
INSIDERS. [more...]
