Leaders Say ‘Boo!’ to China... China Yawns
By

Leaders
at last week’s G7 summit in Japan issued a communique expressing the need for a
solution to the excess capacity problem in the global steel industry, hinting
at possible litigation at the World Trade Organization. Three of the G7
countries in attendance - the U.S., Canada, and Japan - are partners in the
not-yet-ratified Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade agreement. Clearly,
these countries’ leaders realize that they need to appear willing to resolve
international trade problems in order to shore up waning U.S. support for the
TPP. Thus, the milquetoast communique. [more...]

China
Pushes Vietnam into U.S. Arms
China
seems to be in the process of learning what America already knows - being a
superpower is much harder than it looks. The U.S. rescinding its arms
embargo on Vietnam and the two nations discussing closer naval cooperation are
just the latest signs of the closer alliances that are developing in the
Pacific as a result of China’s territorial actions. While the discussion
of the South China Sea generally focuses on how far China will go and what the
U.S. will do about it, the more significant and lasting impact might be the
exact opposite of what China wants - to further entrench the U.S. in Pacific
affairs. In other words, in the case of China’s territorial ambitions,
this might be a case of “be careful what you wish for...” [more...]
Mainstream
Media Ending Now?
In
my latest book, Great
News for America, I predicted the
“End of the Mainstream Media’s (MSM) Influence (as we know it) in Presidential
Elections.” This is Prediction #9 of ten predictions that I made that I said
would happen before, during or after the historic and critical 2016
presidential election. All ten of those predictions appear to be in the
process of coming true. In past
presidential elections, the MSM consisting of the major TV networks, the major
big city newspapers, and the major news magazines were widely trusted by the
electorate. The MSM was listened to by the voters and often led the voters.
However, with increasing bias in recent years, the MSM has lost considerable
credibility. [Go here for a complete analysis...]
Invincible
Candidates
By

Donald Trump, at the moment, appears to be a man of
destiny. From his insulting former prisoner of war and U.S. Senator John McCain
(R-Arizona), to belittling New Mexico’s Latina Republican Governor Susana
Martinez, the presumptive Republican presidential candidate has done a hundred
things that pundits said would destroy a lesser candidate. Trump’s
invincibility seems to come from being an equal opportunity offender - a bold
and independent leader who will attack the distrusted and despised ruling
elites of both major political parties. He appears willing and able to shake
the old order down, yet Trump exhibits a chameleon-like changeability about
what he will do then. On the Democratic side, the frontrunner former Secretary
of State Hillary Clinton has seen her poll numbers for honesty and
trustworthiness plummet down into the 30 percent range, a fall that few
candidates in any party could survive. [more...]
Bad
PR Causes Johnny Depp to Tank at the Box Office

Johnny
Depp has had a week no one would envy. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star has
had to deal with the passing of his mother, the end of his marriage,
allegations of physical abuse, and now a bomb at the box office. Amber Heard,
Depp’s wife of the past fifteen months, just filed for divorce in Los Angeles
citing irreconcilable differences as grounds to end the marriage. Legal papers
were filed three days after the death of Depp’s mother. [more...]
Which
is More Likely: Hillary Gets Nominated or She Gets Indicted?
Which
is more likely now: Hillary gets nominated or indicted? How politically
damaging is the State Department Inspector General’s report on her use of
private e-mails? Does it increase the odds she will be indicted? What does this
do for Bernie in California? Will a Trump-Bernie debate really happen? This –
and much more – will be discussed by the POLITICAL INSIDERS – live - on
Fox News Channel this Sunday evening – at 7:30 PM ET. [more...]
