The Art of the Meme
By

Hirsen
As
the old conventional media continue to lose their credibility and are
increasingly viewed as obsolete, a new digital form of communication has become
an ever more powerful tool for drastically altering the institutional news
calculus of which the establishment has grown accustomed. Grassroots
organizations as well as individuals now have an avenue that can be used to
articulate and communicate ideas, and the opportunity for such a freewheeling
exchange, the type of which was wholly unavailable until the most recent past,
is a salient one. Political and cultural Internet memes, often generated by a
relatively powerless individual or grassroots organization, provide a
compelling way to connect with the public. With the explosion of social media
use, the digital realm has become the principal meme platform. [more...]
Amending or Discarding
Korea Trade Deal
The
Trump administration has made public its intent to seek amendments to the
Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement known as the KORUS FTA. The administration has
said that USTR will request a "special session" under Article 22.2 of
the agreement, which will start a 30-day clock requiring both countries'
officials to meet and discuss amendments. “We applaud and support the
President's effort to renegotiate and get a better deal for the American worker
and American producers on trade,” said Dan DiMicco, Chairman of CPA. [more...]
How
to Rescue Your Retirement
By

Every day 10,000 Baby Boomers reach age 65, and this will
continue until 2029. Many need to protect their life savings and prepare for
retirement. Boomers expected a comfortable retirement, but for many the autumn

seek security; the signs that things are coming apart are all around us. But
the way to “insure” your portfolio is to escape promissory paper, including
paper money that politicians can confiscate via inflation. People would be wise
to convert a portion of their savings into the universal store of value, gold.
Baby Boomers need to act decisively to provide true security for their golden
years. For a free copy of the White Paper The Annuity Trap,

Exposing the Vegas GOP
Bums and Frauds
Remember the famous Las Vegas advertising slogan,
"What happens here, stays here." Well, it doesn't. Las Vegas is the
melting pot of America. What happens here is symbolic of the corruption, fraud
and "rot" happening in the GOP across America. Our own Nevada GOP
U.S. Senator Dean Heller wants to fight to keep Obamacare. And our own
Nevada GOP Governor Brian Sandoval (who was the first GOP Governor to embrace
the expansion of Medicaid under Obamacare) now says repealing and replacing
Obamacare would harm the Nevada economy. Really? [more...]

announcement of a Cyber Security arrangement with the Russians. [more...]
