Jobs
Created by Tariffs
More than 11,100 Good Jobs Created Since February
We have determined that at least 11,100 new jobs have been
created since February 1 as a result of the protective tariffs imposed on
imported solar panels, washing machines, steel, and aluminum. The finding
arises from the initial results of CPA’s “Tariff Job Creation Tracker”
(TJCT), which monitors the jobs created as a result of the
administration’s tariff actions. The tally is conservative because the numbers
include only those positions where companies have publicly announced new or
planned job counts. We’ve long recognized the direct connection between
manufacturing strength and a vibrant middle class. Recent administrations
simply acquiesced to a quarter-century of predatory trade from China. It’s past
time to take action, and it’s gratifying to see how quickly manufacturing is
coming back to the U.S. now that we are implementing the beginnings of a
national trade strategy. [more...] Watch CPA on OANN
The
Untold Story - Tariffs are Driving Job Creation
By Jeff Ferry
It’s just six months since the first of the Trump
administration’s tariffs went into effect and the job gains are already
visible. Our CPA Tariff Job Creation Tracker (TJCT) shows over 11,000 jobs have
been created or announced since February 1st and that includes
only cases where companies announced specific job counts. Other companies have
also said they intend to add jobs, but we will wait for numbers before adding
them to the TJCT. In general, these are good, well-paying jobs, in strong,
stable industries. The addition of high-paying jobs to any locality creates
upward pressure on wages in the entire region. [more...]
The
Golden Age of Trump Bashing May Be Over
Omarosa’s Unhinged may be the fake book that broke the
fake publishing camel’s back. Instead of getting a #1 bestseller, Simon and
Schuster had to settle for #5. As CNN notes, even Rick Wilson’s anti-Trump rant
made it to #2. Pro-Trump books by Jeanine Pirro and Gregg Jarrett got to #1.
And that’s despite the millions of dollars in free media coverage lavished on Unhinged.
Without the backlash from the White House, Omarosa might not have even gotten
to #5. What went wrong with Simon and Schuster’s seven figure investment?

Mastercard
Says it Blacklisted Robert Spencer Because of “Illegal Content”
The Breitbart article is a good summary of
what happened between Patreon, MasterCard and me, but the key element is in the
update: “A Mastercard spokesperson responded to a Breitbart News request for
comment with the following statement. ‘As part of our normal process, we share
information about websites that may have illegal content with the acquirer – or
merchant’s bank – that connects them to our network to accept card payments.
The acquirer would then review the site for compliance with legal requirements
and our standards. They would then determine what action to take. In this case,
the acquirer advised us that they decided to terminate acceptance.'” “Illegal
content?” What illegal content? Which website - Patreon or Jihad Watch? [more...]
