Enemies of the American Republic are found both inside and outside the United States - and they advance by deception, demoralization and dividing the American people. Their goal is to nullify the Constitution. If the latter succeeds, it will bring a swift end to the U.S. as we have known it and make recovery all but impossible. No nation can survive when its government deceives and corrupts its people, denying them the ability to make good political and economic choices. But we should take heart that the Constitution still stands and contains everything needed to recover liberty and justice for all. Uniformed School Resource Officers Aren't the Solution to Stop Mass Public Shootings

With six murdered at the Covenant School in Nashville at the end of March, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee proposed over $200 million in new measures to protect schools to prevent more such attacks. One of his proposals is to put "an armed security guard in every school in Tennessee." Both Republican Senators from Tennessee have offered similar legislation in the form of the federal Safe Schools Act. Having an armed ally in a school could stop attacks, but identifiable officers are easily targeted. [more...]

Biden to Double Cost of Electricity

Americans can't afford to buy food, so Biden decided that they also shouldn't be able to heat their homes during the winter. After an "environmental" measure that would prevent a majority of the country from being able to afford new cars, Biden is now going after their power bills. The latest EPA proposal would mandate 'carbon capture' at power plants. A study by MIT showed that carbon capture raises the cost of electricity from 30-50% depending on the type of plant. Another study by Australia's Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis, however, showed that prices could actually climb as high as 95% to 175%. Imagine your power bills doubling? U.S. Monthly Trade Deficit up 2.7% as Goods Gap Hits $183.2 Billion in Two Months

The U.S. goods and services trade deficit rose by 2.7% in February to $70.2 billion, even as both exports and imports fell on the month, the Bureau of Economic Analysis said on Wednesday. Exports fell more, leading to the rising gap between the two. But over the last two months, when only goods are considered and not the services trade, the U.S. economy recorded a $92.9 billion deficit in February, second only to the $106.3 billion deficit in February 2022, a record-breaker. All told, the goods deficit for the first two months of 2023 is $183.24 billion. [more...]

If you are worried that someone is suicidal, just taking away their guns isn’t a serious solution. There are so many other ways that people can commit suicide. But gun control advocates of "red flag" laws, such as the bill before the Michigan Legislature, want you to believe that simply taking away someone’s legally owned guns ends the risk of suicide. Red flag laws are virtually always invoked for suicide prevention, but even in those rare cases where there are threats to others, there are many other ways for people to do harm.
