HUD Releases Report Conveniently When Nobody's Looking

By Dr. Robert Marbut

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released its 2024 Annual Homelessness Assessment Report: Part 1: Point-in-Time Estimates (the Congressionally required Point-In-Time Count Annual Report) on Friday December 27, 2024. The releasing of the report two days after Christmas, one day after Hanukkah, and the weekend before News Year's Day is an indication of how dramatic and significant the increase in homelessness is in the USA. HUD’s numbers show an increase in people experiencing homelessness from 580,466 in 2020 to 771,480 in 2024, a 32.9% increase during the Biden-Harris Administration, with an annual increase from 653,104 in 2023 to 771,480 in 2024, a 18.1% on year increase. [more...]

Contrary to Media Claims, Deporting Illegal Alien Criminals Will Save Taxpayers More Than It Costs

By John Lott, Worldwide Expert on Guns & Crime

Immigration advocacy organizations are out to create shock-value numbers that overestimate the real costs of deportation.

In testimony before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, American Immigration Council (AIC) Senior Fellow Aaron Reichlin-Melnick remarked last week that mass deportations would cost “at a minimum” $316 billion. The AIC estimates that there is an annual cost of $88 billion to deport one million illegal aliens each year. That breaks down to $7 billion for arrests, $66 billion for detentions, $12.6 billion to go through the legal process, and $2.1 billion to transport deportees out of the country. It works out to $88,000 per deportee, but the council claims this is a “highly conservative estimate.” They conclude there is “a total cost of $967.9 billion over the course of more than a decade.” [more...]

The Passing of Jimmy Carter

By Colonel (Ret.) John Mills, Author of War Against the Deep State

With the passing of the 39th president, Jimmy Carter, Americans are looking back on his "legacy." It's important to remember Carter was the original virtue signaler: The Soviets are on the march; therefore, we’ll limit our strategic weapons. We have an energy shortage; therefore, we’ll limit American energy production and put on a sweater. America has supported military governments in Central and South America; therefore, we’ll hand over the Panama Canal and walk away from the Americas. The Iranians seized our embassy; therefore, we’ll agonize and then eventually lash together an ad hoc force out of a hollow military in a very high-risk operation to rescue them. The Soviets invaded Afghanistan; therefore, we won’t go to the Olympics. He meant well - but he certainly didn’t inspire pride or exude America First values; he seemed to apologize for them. The Carter Era is Over

By Daniel Greenfield, Author of Domestic Enemies

The Carter era is over not just because its eponymous figure kicked the last of a long line of buckets to reunite with the Ayatollah Khomeini and Fidel Castro on the world’s worst reunion tour in the world’s worst place, but because the era itself best epitomized by his legacy has come to an end. "Jimmuh Carter" waited until nearly the end of the administration of the man who accomplished what most thought was impossible - to be an even worse regarded president than Carter. But Joe Biden did it. And along with his career, Biden also unwound Carter’s, his foreign policy, his clueless cheerleading in the face of economic misery, and his tiresome communications style. The Global Jihad Has Advanced Since 9-11

By Robert Spencer, Author of Muhammad: A Critical Biography

Beware of the falsehood that Islam is peaceful - and that jihad is an interior spiritual struggle.

Here is the video of remarks given by Robert Spencer at the David Horowitz Freedom Center’s 2024 Restoration Weekend. [more...]
