It Takes More Than the Inauguration of Donald Trump as President to Save America

By Scott Powell, Author of Rediscovering America

The early cabinet nominee confirmation hearings have set the right tone and substance for the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 47th president of the United States. It’s increasingly clear that Trump has chosen strong candidates who are committed to turning America around, which is encouraging as the American people deserve results from a popularly elected president with a clear reform mandate. The strong, direct governing approach of Trump is being vindicated right before our very eyes in his cabinet selections. How refreshing to witness these nominees standing their ground on principles and pushing back with truth, confidence, and finesse to politicians who surely have more skeletons in their closets than the nominees under their review. But to root out corruption throughout our government, we must be prepared to do whatever it takes, and that means both standing behind President Trump and his remaining cabinet nominees to make tough decisions and holding them accountable to deliver what they promised. A Battle over Tax Cut Extensions and Questions About Tariffs

By Kenneth Rapoza, Reporter/Columnist for Coalition for a Prosperous America

Treasury Secretary nominee Scott Bessent faced a divided Senate Finance Committee on Thursday for another Trump nomination hearing this week. To his credit, Bessent demonstrated a masterful view of the macroeconomics around tariffs, trade, and currency. He publicly acknowledged the benefits of tariffs, the damage done by the China shock, and how trade must be rebalanced to benefit Main Street producers and workers. The main takeaway from the Committee is the Democrats are against extending the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which expires at the end of this year, and there is only lukewarm acceptance by both parties on broad tariffs, with a general acceptance for tariffs on China. [more...]

Trump, With a Pen and a Phone, Rights Biden-Obama Wrongs

By Cheryl Chumley, Author of God-Given or Bust

Scarcely had Donald Trump finished taking his presidential oath of office and already, America was back on track. Among his orders: there are only two sexes - male and female; J6 inmates - you’re excused; Paris treaty and World Health Organization - see ya later, alligator; illegals - let the deportations begin; and 'drill, baby, drill' - energy production is back on the table. And just like that, the Senate confirmed Marco Rubio as State Department secretary. Remember when former President Obama arrogantly said he didn’t need Congress because he had a pen and a phone? Well, now the tide has turned. [more...]

President Trump Dismisses 1,000 Biden Burrow-ees

By Colonel (Ret.) John Mills, Author of War Against the Deep State

General (Ret.) Milley still has his clearance? Randy Vickers has his clearance pulled, but is giving a brief tomorrow, maybe Randy missed the memo.

Firing 1,000 Biden appointees isn’t payback; this is established precedent from Biden who broke precedent by dismissing many Trump first term related appointees from boards and advisory bodies. These appointments, until Biden, were respected and traditionally have been bi-partisan and receive appointments meant to transcend Administrations. Biden set the precedent of malicious weaponization of these positions. It’s very appropriate for President Trump to return the favor. General (Ret.) Milley might have been dismissed from his position, but appears to still hold a clearance. Need to address this pronto! [more...]

Freedom Center Investigates (FCI) Helped Block Terror Imam from Trump Inauguration

By Daniel Greenfield, Author of Domestic Enemies

When the Trump inauguration program was first leaked, it included a ‘benediction’ from Imam Husham Al-Husainy, a Dearborn Shiite Muslim cleric who had gotten in trouble before over his views on Hezbollah. Freedom Center Investigates jumped into action compiling an extensive Twitter thread and other tweets that received half a million views and was retweeted by, among others, Ayaan Hirsi Ali. We turned up everything from videos in which Al-Husainy screamed at Sean Hannity and refused to answer if he supported Hezbollah after an appearance at the DNC, a rally in which he shouted about "agents of the Jews," videos in which he appeared to curse Christians, faked hate crimes being used to push Sharia law, description of Iranian terror leader Soleimani as a martyr and a letter urging "our sons to get ready to carry out their duty in Holy Jihad and continue the path which our young valiant men in Hezbollah began in Southern Lebanon." Why Are Our Campuses Seething with Antisemitism?

By Prof. John M. Ellis, Author of A Short History Of Relations Between Peoples

Short answer: That’s the way radical professors want it.

The scale of support on college campuses for militant antisemitism and even for Hamas barbarism has alarmed most Americans, but there’s something else here that ought to trouble us, too: a startling ignorance of the most basic facts of Middle Eastern history. These are college students being educated on renowned campuses - yet they know virtually nothing about the matter they are protesting. How can that be? [more...]
