Two former NASCAR Crew Chiefs have been working day and night since Hurricane Helene ravaged Western North Carolina in September 2024 to help bring the community together to aid the victims who have been displaced, lost their homes and belongs... and even loved ones. Their organization, Operation Helo, remains dedicated to supporting families in Western North Carolina as they recover from Hurricane Helene. To date, they’ve provided 206 new campers to displaced families, ensuring they have a safe and temporary place to call home. As FEMA support phases out, the need for these campers continues to grow as they allow families to stay close to their communities, schools, and essential services. Additionally, they have announced the Winter Warmth Initiative to keep these families warm during winter by partnering with local businesses like Blossman Propane to provide propane refills, ensuring no family goes without heat.
