Report is Fraud, Greatest Ponzi Scheme in History Continues
I
am a small businessman at "ground zero." I don’t need Obama, the Fed,
economists, or the media to tell me how the economy is doing. I live
it. And I’m telling you, we’re all being lied to. The
economy is not getting better, it’s getting worse. Back in late 2007 and
early 2008, I publicly predicted (numerous times) that we were entering the
deepest recession since the 1929 Great Depression. At the exact moment I wrote
about this, Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke was testifying in front of Congress that
the economy was fine, we were not in recession, and there was little threat of
a serious economic decline. It turned out he was dead wrong about everything. A
small businessman always knows. [more...]
Disenfranchised
and Duped by Obamacare
It
is no longer about the content of one's character. It is now about winning at
all costs. How else can the blind and dogged devotion of Progressives to
Obamacare be explained? The architects have admitted that the law is inherently
unfair. It creates a two-tiered system that benefits the wealthy and privileged
friends and relegates the poor, the middle-class and the disenfranchised to an
inferior healthcare system devoid of quality doctors in which the 'unlucky'
ones who can't afford it will be locked out of medical centers of excellence
like Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and MD Anderson, stuck paying higher costs
for medication, and paying more as if it is a privilege. [more... ]
Obamacare:
A Century-Long Campaign
By Carl Schramm
Government
control of health care has long been the central goal of the progressive
project. The idea can be traced back to the efforts of the American Association
of Labor Legislation. Around 1915, the AALL established the progressive
narrative that Europe had enlightened social welfare policy, whereas the U.S.
was benighted, uncompassionate and politically unsophisticated because we did
not emulate Europe's emerging government-funded health insurance schemes. On
Nov. 14, during what was called his "mea culpa" press conference, President
Obama referenced the roots of the progressive struggle when he said: "It
took a hundred years for us to even get to the point where we could start
talking about and implementing a law to make sure everybody got health
insurance." The century-long campaign to which he referred, however, was
about more than universal health insurance. [more...]
Government
Claus
By
Lowell Ponte
One
of the Saint Nicholas impersonators of our time are progressives, many of whom
disdain God but, paradoxically, all believe fervently in Santa Claus, in the
form of government with never-ending free goodies it can give away without any
negative economic or social consequences. The reality is that everything
government gives away, it must first take from somebody else - past, present or
future. America now has only 101 million full-time workers, the lowest
percentage working since President Jimmy Carter, yet we have 108 million people
receiving means-tested welfare benefits from our fast-growing Santa Claus
welfare state. Check out Lowell's new book, "The Great
Withdrawal." [more...]
