Why are America and the West Funding Sharia Law?

President Hamid Karzai’s government is considering bringing back stoning for adultery - and imposing 100 lashes (which is a death sentence) for unmarried people who have had sexual relations.  Thus, Afghan men can marry female children, keep male children as sex-toys, maintain four wives, and visit prostitutes from dawn to dawn.  But it is a capital crime if an Afghan man dishonors another Afghan man by having relations with his female "property;" and, if he has raped the poor wife, she is also to be stoned.  Why are America and the West funding such a country which is so clearly headed back towards the darkest days of the Taliban in the 1980s and to the even darker days of the bitter battles between warlords which massacred so many innocent civilians in the 1990s? Do Americans really believe that we can wean the Sunni Afghans from gender and religious apartheid? [more... ]

Voter Fraud? What about Election Fraud?

Voter fraud has been in the news a lot lately.  A number of party leaders and politicians are concerned that without stronger voter ID laws in place, one person can go to several different polling places pretending to be different people, voting several times.  A non-citizen could pretend to be a citizen and cast a vote.  Some fear voter fraud could even be an organized effort of a political group, with a busload of people going from polling place to polling place casting a number of fraudulent votes.  Thirty states have voter ID laws in place, but a number of states have implemented or are considering implementing tougher laws requiring voters to show picture IDs of a limited kind.  For example, a driver's license, gun permits, and other government issued IDs, but often not student IDs. Same Old SEIU, Same Tired Attacks

Never a group to let an opportunity go to waste, the SEIU planned to disrupt travelers at major airports all over the country and to attack retailers such as Wal-Mart during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Their plotting is all in the name of "social justice," which is no more than a code name for forced unionism. The SEIU would have you believe that it has the best interest of employees at heart, and that employers like Wal-Mart "abuse" their employees through the payment of poverty wages, while lining their own pockets with the company profits.  In fact, this past week, the SEIU sent out the following e-mail to its members stating that Wal-Mart pays such low wages its employees cannot afford a Thanksgiving dinner.  Therefore, Wal-Mart hosted a food drive so they could eat on Thanksgiving.
