David Horowitz Unveils the Left's Heart of Darkness
At the Freedom
Center's recent West Coast Retreat, David Horowitz discussed his discovery,
during the Vietnam War, of the hate and malice in the leftist movement -- and
how this led to the creation of the Freedom Center and its mission. Don't miss

Bernie
Sanders Took His Terrible 'Medicare For All' Idea and Made it a Disaster
By Sally Pipes, President & CEO of the Pacific
Research Institute
The Fox News townhall may have been entertaining, but 2020
candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders's updated "Medicare for all" plan is
even more disastrous than its original 2017 iteration. The new
bill is not all that different from the one he introduced two years ago. It
would still force virtually every person to swap their current health plan (whether
that's private insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid) for a single,
one-size-fits-all, government-run plan. But he's made the plan even more
generous and costly by promising to cover long-term care delivered in home and
community settings. [more...]
Mapping
San Francisco's Human Waste Challenge
By Adam Andrzejewski, Author of Operation Drain the Swamp
San Francisco is in trouble. Today, the city by the bay hosts an
estimated homeless population of 7,500 people. Affluent sections of the city have
become dangerous with open-air drug use, tens of thousands of discarded
needles, and, sadly, human feces. Since 2011, there have been at least 118,352
reported instances of human fecal matter on city streets. New mayor, London
Breed, won election by promising to clean things up. However, conditions are
the same or worse. Last year, the number of reports spiked to an all-time high
at 28,084. In first quarter 2019, the pace continued with 6,676 instances of
human waste in the public way. [more...]
Should
Senator Cory Booker Pay Slavery Reparations to Himself?
By Daniel Greenfield
He can write a check from the 45% of his European DNA
to the 47% of his African DNA
Senator Cory Booker has promised to introduce a bill to study a
proposal for slavery reparations. The bill will be a companion to a bill by
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee who had once declared on the House floor, “I stand here
as a freed slave.” Since Sheila also believed that there are two Vietnams, that the
Constitution is 400 years old, and that Neil Armstrong planted a flag on Mars,
that may have been metaphor or the addled understanding of a woman who confused Wikileaks and
Wikipedia. Booker, who claims to care about the victims of sexual
violence, might have been dissuaded from backing a bill introduced by a
politician who was recently forced to resign from chairing the Congressional
Black Caucus Foundation after firing a
woman who was raped by one of her subordinates. But Senator Booker has
never found a principle that he wouldn’t passionately embrace and betray. [more...]
Imposing Socialism on America - One State at a Time
By Karen Kataline
Some say the road to socialist hell is paved with good intentions.
What it’s really paved with is bloated government, wealth redistribution and
central planning. Leftists have taken control of the Democratic Party and some
have begun to tell the truth about their socialist ideology. Unfortunately,
they’re not just talking about it. With almost identical measures on a variety
of issues and national backing, they are implementing their ideas in
Democrat-controlled state legislatures around the country. That allows them to
bypass Congress on the federal level and ignore the will of the voters on the
local level. These tactics drive a truck through any semblance of local
control. That’s central planning. [more...]
