Veteran Benefits – Earned by Veterans, Not an Entitlement
By Paul Lawrence, Ph.D., Author of Veterans Benefits for YOU
Serving in the military has several features. These include
solid training, leadership opportunities, and competitive compensation. Generally,
less recognized are the various monetary veteran benefits from the U.S.
Department of Veterans Affairs for those who served honorably. These are
earned benefits, not entitlements. Veterans should be aware of these benefits,
how they can be accessed, and, most importantly, how they can be used to
improve post-service life. [more...]
Could the Chinese Daqi-1 Satellite Be Causing Wildfires in Hawaii,
British Columbia, Eastern Canada and Washington State?
By Colonel (Ret.) John Mills, Author of The Nation Will Follow
The Daqi-1 Satellite is publicly stated as an "atmospheric
environment monitoring satellite." In the world of Cloak and Dagger, you
always have a cover story, actually several layers of cover stories. An
atmospheric environment monitoring satellite? That description is so bland; it
can mean just about anything. At first the U-2 was described as a weather
research aircraft. That cover story lasted about 10 seconds once the first U-2
was shot down over the Soviet Union. We flew deep and wide until the Soviets
could do something about it. [more...]
The Liar Sleeps Tonight
What's the truth about Biden’s public naps?
Most presidents are fact checked about their policies; few have
been fact checked about whether they were awake. Joe Biden has had the most
sleeping fact checks of any other president, but that's because presidents
usually don't fall asleep at major events like visits by foreign leaders or
commemorations of mass deaths in a recent natural disaster. Even at the best of
times, it's never that clear whether Biden is awake or asleep. But sometimes he
closes his eyes and appears to drift off before stirring awake. And the media
rushes in to argue that he wasn't really asleep. [more...]
On Biden's Newest False Claims About Guns
By John Lott
Recently, Biden 'tweeted' his support for an assault
weapons ban, for safe storage requirements, for holding gun manufacturers
liable for gun crimes, and for enacting universal background checks. Unfortunately,
all of these measures will either have no effect or will increase crime. We
have tried a federal assault weapon ban before, and it didn't save lives. In
2003, the last full year before the ban expired, the U.S. murder rate stood at 5.7 per 100,000 people. The murder rate stayed below that
level until the COVID pandemic in 2020. In 2019, it was 5.0 per 100,000
people. [more...]
American Companies Profiting from Deals with China's Legacy
Semiconductor Industry
Tighter export controls, use of CHIPS Act can halt China's strategy to dominate global market.
A new report, titled 'Cash Over Country,'
co-written by the Coalition for a Prosperous America (CPA) and China Tech Threat (CTT)
details how three leading American semiconductor equipment manufacturers (SEMs)
- Applied Materials, KLA and Lam Research - are supporting China's flourishing
legacy semiconductor industry at the cost of American national and economic
security. The report calls out the U.S. government's failure to act to restrict
the rise of China's legacy chip businesses as it instead focuses too narrowly
on China's advanced chip sector. To address this, the report recommends a
series of offensive and defensive measures to stop China's domination of the
legacy chip market. [more...]
Voice of the Silent Un-Woke Majority
By James Hirsen
Despite recent efforts to inhibit free communication, our human
connection was made manifest, albeit in a roundabout way, as necessity
dictated. An analysis of consumer choices that have been made over the past
several months is providing a window into repressed public opinion. To put it
plainly, the silent un-woke majority sure seems to have found its
voice. [more...]
