Trump
is 'Relentless'
How the heck is Donald Trump still in the GOP
presidential race, let alone winning? How can he offend so many people, yet
still sit at the top of the polls? The opinion makers and TV experts just don’t
understand his appeal. Well I get it. I’m the author of a new book called, The Power
of RELENTLESS. If
Hollywood central casting created a prototype for relentless, it would be "The
Donald." [more...]
Rally
the Youth
Charles
Krauthammer recently made a great point about the voting habits of young people
and how so many of them continually vote for candidates who clearly do not have
their best interests at heart. This is particularly true on college campuses,
which have become so politically correct that even ultra-benign comedian Jerry
Seinfeld vowed he would never perform there again because of the hostility he
has to deal with for anything even the least bit edgy. Why is this the case?
What happens on these campuses that causes people to so vociferously attack
their own (formerly) inalienable rights without even realizing it? The simplest
answer would be indoctrination, but the deeper question would be "what is
the exact nature of this indoctrination?" Is it purely the teachers in the
classroom, or is it something else? I would argue for the latter. [more...]
Trump's
Star Power Alters the Course of the GOP Primary
By
James
Hirsen
We
undoubtedly live in a celebrity-driven culture, one in which the public
frequently looks to celebrities with admiration, loyalty, and adulation. These
days, however, many are "famous for being famous," but Trump is
unique, even for those who are under the fame umbrella. Trump's television fame
has been built on a celebrity image specifically associated with leadership. He
is one of the most renowned individuals to ever enter the presidential race.
However, along with the celebrity status that accompanies routine television
appearances, Trump's reality show served to solidify his brand; and not just a
run-of-the-mill brand, but the brand of being a tremendously powerful leader.
Millions of viewers who tuned in already had a preconception of him as such and
viewed him favorably as a decisive figure. The nine other GOP candidates who
were on the platform at last week's debate have Trump to thank, in great part,
for being given the chance to communicate their ideas to such a huge group of
voters. Many of the debate participants were able to significantly increase
their name recognition, among other things, and what Trump brought with him to
the stage beneficially spilled over onto them. [more...]
The Top Scenarios for Trump in the Presidential Race
One
scenario I can envision is that with an electorate that is angry, frustrated
and upset with the current administration and the Republican Congress, an
anti-Washington outrage might take over the Republican presidential
race. Giving Trump the Republican nomination would send a strong
message to both parties that business-as-usual is over and Americans will hold
both parties accountable for America going off track. Many voters are
truly upset that they gave the House and Senate to the Republican Party in
recent elections and major issues are still not resolved. Obamacare has not
been repealed. Illegal immigration continues unabated. Our military
has been slashed, while we are being threatened with ISIS and the potential for
terrorist attacks at home. The Iran nuclear deal has further deteriorated
our security and America is at risk of an Electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP) attack
that the current administration continues to ignore, preferring to fight
climate change (a non-crisis). Add to this a very anemic economy and over 93
million Americans of working age who are unemployed. [Go here for a complete analysis...]
Social
Security Turns 80... Its Days May Be Numbered
By
Lowell Ponte
Today
Social Security and its related benefit programs, Medicare and Medicaid, are
running short of money – and are in real trouble. Social Security Disability
Insurance (SSDI) is expected to run out of money in 2016. President Obama's administration relaxed its
qualifications, and SSDI beneficiaries increased by 50 percent, to more than 10
million. This is almost as many as have full-time jobs in all of manufacturing.
Social Security was supposed to keep Americans safe from old age poverty – but
Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare are rapidly running out of money. Its rising taxes on younger workers might
soon drive them into poverty and leave millions unable to retire. [more...]
The
Problem with "Mainstream" Christianity
By
Joe
Messina
More
and more "mainstream" Christians are finding it necessary to dance
around or water down the true meanings of God's word and commandments so people
around them won't think they are too harsh or "religious." What would
cause someone that says they believe in something to change it or ignore parts
of it to make themselves feel better? Not to disrespect my Catholic friends...
BUT, for example, Rep. Pelosi is, in her words, a "devout Catholic." How can that be? Pelosi says she is a devout
Catholic; however, she believes in abortion while the church and scripture are
against abortion. She is an advocate of same sex marriage; however, the
Catholic Church is opposed to same sex marriage. So what Catholic Church or
doctrine is she really following? [more...]
Political
Predictions on Political Insiders
How
will Donald Trump's performance in the debate impact the GOP race? Did the establishment political press – yet
again – misread Trump's appeal? Is Hillary in more dire political trouble than
most people realize? With Senator Schumer now voting against the Iran Nuclear
Deal, will opponents be able to override a Presidential veto? What will happen
after Labor Day when Congress votes on it? This – and much more –
will be discussed by the POLITICAL
INSIDERS – live on Fox News Channel this Sunday evening – at 7:30 PM
ET. [more...]
