The Coming Cyber-Apocalypse

The cyber-attack began last Friday worldwide, causing computer chaos in at least 150 nations and more than 200,000 computers, hitting banks and other companies. This is only the latest of what could be many doomsday attacks to come. “In 2017, hackers infected the computers of 140 banks in 40 countries with a program that let the criminals order bank ATMs to spit out untold millions into the paper bags of waiting accomplices,” Craig R. Smith and I reported in our free 2017 White Paper Don’t Bank On It!, which updates and summarizes our book of the same name. Media in Meltdown over Comey Firing

In this age of magnified reality, a two-way relationship has developed between the dominant media and the Democratic Party, one that eerily parallels a biological phenomenon. Symbiosis is the scientific term used to describe a specific biological interaction between two different species wherein both living creatures depend upon one another for their very survival. This is the state of the relationship that presently exists between the left-leaning media and Democrats. Comey was Bad, But Acting FBI Director McCabe is Far Worse

Firing Comey was a good start. But the new acting FBI director, Andrew McCabe, is far worse. He is at the center of possibly the worst bribery scandal in FBI history. McCabe was the actual FBI official in charge of Hillary’s investigation. While leading the probe, McCabe’s wife was a Democrat running for state Senate in Virginia. She received just under $700,000 in donations from PACs controlled by Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, who happens to be close to Bill and Hillary Clinton and one of their chief bagmen. New Impetus to Fix Trade

The Trump Administration’s views on some issues (think health care) has evolved over recent months. But on foreign trade, the Administration has consistently stuck to Donald Trump’s pre-election view that past trade deals have been a lousy deal for the U.S. worker and they need to be fixed. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross has been tough and outspoken on the need to fix the trade deficit, singling out Mexico, China, and others as nations where our trade relations can and must be improved. Last week, the Senate approved the appointment of Bob Lighthizer as U.S. Trade Representative, completing the triumvirate (White House advisor Peter Navarro is the third figure) that will lead the Administration’s trade policies. And later this week, Department of Commerce public hearings on “significant trade deficits” look set to shine a bright light on the causes and consequences of America’s huge and persistent trade deficits. [more...]

Trump’s battle with the Left is truly unprecedented. Never before in America’s 240 years of history has an ideological movement on a broad scale abandoned Constitutional principles, attacked the fundamental ideas associated with freedom and free markets, and attempted to block a sitting presidential administration from faithfully carrying out its responsibilities. Plus, all of this is done under a false and dishonest leftist narrative about Russian collusion in the 2016 presidential campaign that is completely unsupported by any facts. Clearly, Trump’s battle with the Left began and continues because the Left refuses to accept the results of the November presidential election. It is not simply one party, the Democratic Party, debating an issue or a policy in the usual give-and-take of normal political debate.
