The Secret Saudi-Dollar Connection

President Trump was greeted and treated like a wise and welcome world leader and ally in Saudi Arabia. But the media said almost nothing of the secret connections that for 46 years have kept our two nations linked in a special, mutually-dependent relationship. In 1944 the United States, the superpower to emerge after World War II, created a new economic system - the Bretton Woods agreement. The U.S. Dollar’s value would be pegged to gold, and other Western nations would peg their value to the dollar. After working well for decades, Bretton Woods was burned down by President Nixon. After printing billions to fight the Vietnam War, he announced in August 1971 that the U.S. would no longer redeem dollars for gold. Without its gold anchor, the dollar tried to float but its value promptly sank by a third. [more...]

The Evolving Auto Industry

We are entering an age in technology where self-driving vehicles will soon be a reality. With many radical innovations, the technology exists but the practical and swift adoption of these inventions holds many companies and geniuses from ushering in the future. This bottleneck will always exist in the auto industry. Nonetheless, in a move to remain competitive, recapture market share and bolster profits, Ford has replaced CEO Mark Fields with Jim Hackett, a proven executive who was brought in a year ago by Ford to head its electric and self-driving vehicle development. The move signals to investors and the public that there are serious pressures in the auto industry and especially for Ford. It will take a strategic balancing act for Hackett and the entire team at Ford to manage costs, bring jobs back to America, and invest in the future of vehicles. [more...]

Why Robert Mueller Should Not Be Special Counsel

In a surprise move the Department of Justice via acting Attorney General Rod Rosenstein named Robert Mueller, a former FBI head, as a special counsel to ostensibly oversee the bureau’s probe into Russia’s attempts to influence the 2016 election. But Mueller’s handling of the IRS targeting scandal and his close relationship with former FBI director James Comey are inconsistent with the objective role the law seeks for a special counsel. In June of 2013 then FBI director Mueller gave testimony on the IRS investigation into the tax agency’s targeting of Tea Party and conservative groups. When questioned by Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, Mueller appeared clueless about the specifics surrounding the IRS probe. [more...]

The Left’s Snowflake Coup

The Left’s snowflake coup, something I also call America’s uncivil war, is an attempt to hold on to power by effectively making Trump’s campaign promises and agenda impossible to fulfill. But, just as snowflakes that can’t tolerate the reality of the noonday sun, the Left’s snowflake coup will melt away in the heat of Trump’s success and the Left will move into the political wilderness for generations to come. Just consider a few of Trump’s actual and impending accomplishments... [more...]
