When Americans sacrificed their lives in military service, it was not just to defend the United States but to uphold the natural rights associated with the nation’s founding.

If the last few generations of Americans understood the origin and meaning of Memorial Day, we might have avoided the trauma of division and corruption that now threatens the United States as never before. Memorial Day was founded on the biblical ideals of forgiveness and reconciliation shortly after America's most divisive and bloody conflict, the Civil War, which extended from 1861 to 1865. The CEO Behind Target's Corporate Culture War

CEO Brian Cornell has turned over the chain to criminals and perverts.

Target projects over $1 billion in losses due in large part to shoplifting. And that is its own fault. Target CEO Brian Cornell responded to the BLM race riots with a memo claiming that, "the murder of George Floyd has unleashed the pent-up pain of years, as have the killings of Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor." Much of that pain was directed at robbing Target. After a massive wave of arson and looting, targeted its own chain stores, Target doubled down on its Racial Equity Action and Change strategy. The Target Foundation was one of the signatories of the Philanthropic Collective to Combat Anti-Blackness & Realize Racial Justice statement attacking the criminal justice system. Target committed to racial quotas for its workforce and forced diversity and inclusion training on employees. Kiera Fernandez, Target’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion executive, warned that employees had to go along with the DEI agenda "to be a part of this company." This is the same group that had originally been scheduled to receive a community service award but was uninvited for a brief period of time. Sen. Gun ownership increased sixfold under former Brazilian President Bolosonaro, homicides dropped 34%

John Lott, an economist and academic who leads the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) – which for years has researched and argued that an increase in firearm ownership does not mean higher crime rates says he reached out to 12 academics in the U.S. earlier this year with a proposal: A $1,000 bet on whether the homicide rate would increase in Brazil under Lula and his administration’s gun ownership crackdown. "Here is what I offer you. Let’s bet $1,000 and make it simple on whether the homicide rate in Brazil will go up or down during the first two years of Lula's presidency. If the homicide rate goes down from what it was in 2022, I will pay you $1,000. If it goes up, you will pay me $1,000," Lott wrote in his e-mails to fellow academics. Lott published an op-ed about the bet on The Federalist last week, noting that seven of the twelve academics didn't respond to his offer while the other five did not take him up on the bet. Solar Import Boom from Southeast Asian Nations Under Investigation for Dumping Helped By White House

If the White House wants domestic solar producers to ramp up production of solar cells, modules, and a comprehensive reshoring of the entire solar supply chain, the ongoing boom of solar imports from Southeast Asia is doing Washington no favors. Solar panel imports rose in the first quarter of the year thanks to the White House's two year moratorium on tariffs, issued last June. Solar panel imports rose to 850,157 metric tons shipped to the U.S. in the first quarter, up from 672,863 metric tons shipped in the fourth quarter, according to analysis by S&P Global Market Intelligence. The media emphasizes that Neely was a Michael Jackson impersonator, yet they tend to bury the lead on his long history of violence. The media is full of pictures of him performing as a Michael Jackson impersonator. None show him punching a 67-year-old woman in the face as she was leaving a subway station. The vicious thug broke her nose, fractured her orbital bone, and fell leading to "substantial pain to the back of her head." The Patriot's Path for Tucker Carlson

When Tucker Carlson's termination became public, rational patriots paying close attention to the news during the Trump years were far from shocked. The new norm: speak the truth, be cancelled. Murdoch's sons are not conservatives. World Economic Forum backer Blackstone is a major Fox stockholder. Per Blackstone's own words, they "force change" to political cultures of corporations they invest in that don't match their worldview. As popular hosts from Glenn Beck to Tucker Carlson have shown us, voices who get bigger than Fox advertisers can tolerate, or management can't overtly control, are threats that eventually are removed. Fox was right to be threatened. Good journalism protects and educates listeners and Tucker did his job well.

The Devil Went Down to Boston

SatanCon, an event billed as "the largest satanic gathering in history," recently took place in Boston, Massachusetts, courtesy of a Salem-based group called The Satanic Temple. The mainstream media largely labeled it as satirical and harmless. NBC News even seemed to give it a sort of veiled plug with the headline "SatanCon, poking at religion and government, opens this weekend in Boston." The news outlet described the convention as "mostly lighthearted" and characterized The Satanic Temple as "a progressive church that doesn't worship the devil but instead uses the word to get attention." Other media outlets were similarly generous in their descriptions of the event as well as its organizers. [more...]
