It Shouldn't Take a Bullet to the Head for the Criminal Justice System to Take Stalking Seriously

By Nikki Goeser

This month is the 18th Annual National Stalking Awareness Month. Nikki Goeser, Executive Director of the Crime Prevention Research Center is an expert on this topic since her husband, Ben, was murdered in front of her by her stalker on April 2, 2009. Nikki’s stalker has been incarcerated since then, but he has continued over many years to stalk her from prison via twisted love letters to her. Unfortunately, her stalker is currently set to be released from prison early in 2028. Nikki helped get a Lifetime Order of Protection Law established in her state of Tennessee in 2021 for victims of violent crime. So, what exactly is stalking? Stalking is a pattern of repeated, unwanted behavior toward a specific person, which would cause any reasonable person to feel fearful, intimidated, or harassed. [more...]

As Gun Sales Soared, the Number of Violent Crimes Committed with Guns Plummeted

By Dr. John Lott

With violent crime soaring over the last two years, Americans want a solution. Over and over, President Joe Biden and gun control advocates frame violent crime as a gun problem. Relying on public health researchers, articles such as this one in the Atlantic and in local news stories this week point to increasing gun sales as the cause. But reported gun crimes fell in 2020, so the writers ignore the obvious explanation for rising crime, that law enforcement isn’t being allowed to do its job. [more...]

Will Biden Go Against the Majority of Americans Who Want Solar Made in the USA?

By Kenneth Rapoza, China Expert/Industry Analyst for the Coalition for a Prosperous America

A majority of registered voters in a recent poll said they want a domestic solar industry, not one reliant almost fully on imported solar cells and panels from China. Sadly, if you’ve ever driven by a house with a rooftop covered in solar panels, they were probably made by Trina Solar or some other Chinese manufacturer. If you've ever driven by a massive utility power plant with double-sided solar panels gleaming in the sun, it is near 100% certain that every solar cell in those solar modules, and even the solar panels themselves, were imported from Asia. Sex and Blasphemy in Pakistan

By Daniel Greenfield

In Pakistan, Aneeqa Ateeq, a 26-year-old woman, has been sentenced to be "hanged by her neck till she is dead" over a “blasphemous” WhatsApp status. The death sentence for the woman was apparently brought on by “hand-drawn” cartoons of Mohammed and Aisha. Mohammed infamously “married” Aisha when she was only six years old. The precise age at which he then raped her is the subject of some debate among Muslim clerics, but is generally localized at an age that would have seen Mohammed serving decades in an American prison. The Pakistani judicial system, which is based around the brutal codes of Islamic sharia law, refused to specify any more details about the cartoons except that they involved "derogatory, disgraceful, immoral filthy comments/ remarks/ representations in respect of the sacred name. White Privilege is Real, but Not in the Way the Left Thinks

By Prof. John Ellis

"White privilege" is an idea that has only recently risen to national prominence. It amounts to a nasty accusation: Whites have undeserved advantages that they have stolen from "people of color." But history says something quite different: The most important factor in relative white prosperity is the fact that some profound changes in human life that gave us modernity began with them. [more...]

Obamacare Enrollment Blitz a Bad Sign for Future of US Healthcare

By Sally Pipes

The Biden administration has been quick to pat themselves on the back for record-breaking exchange enrollment. But the main reason Americans have flocked to the exchanges is that the federal government is lavishing taxpayer money on them to do so - even those who are relatively well-off. That Americans need to be bribed to purchase exchange coverage is yet more evidence of Obamacare's dysfunction. By padding exchange enrollment in this way, the Democrats are accelerating many of our healthcare system's most destructive and unsustainable trends. [more...]

Mourning the Passing of Meat Loaf

By James Hirsen

Marvin Lee Aday, more famously known as the rock star Meat Loaf, passed away recently at the age of 74. He was one of the best-selling musical artists of all time. Meat, as he liked to be called, was the musical performer on more than 100 million records that were distributed worldwide. He actually held traditional religious views that placed him at odds with many current entertainment industry figures. He grew up singing in the church choir, studied the Bible, and attended a Christian college. His faith influenced his work, with many of his songs containing Christian concepts. [more...]

What Reporters Should Ask Biden About Guns at His Promised Press Conference

By Dr. John Lott

Biden’s remarks after the hostage situation at the synagogue in Texas leave more questions than answers. What were the motivations for the attack to occur? A full day after a Pakistani Muslim attacked a synagogue on the Jewish sabbath to gain the release of Aafia Siddiqui described as the "Lady of al Qaeda," Biden doesn't know. The synagogue was near where Siddiqui is held. But when asked why the attacker targeted that synagogue, Biden again responded that he didn't know but promised more at a press conference on Wednesday. Those answers are surely much better than the answers given by the FBI on Saturday, where they were not sure of the motive but ruled out the attack being "specifically related to the Jewish community." Will U.S. Solar Be Totally Owned by China?

By Kenneth Rapoza, China Expert/Industry Analyst for the Coalition for a Prosperous America

Biden has less than three weeks to decide with the climate lobby, supported by China, or U.S. makers of solar panels. Which side will he choose? It's a battle. But for now, the International Trade Commission (ITC) sided with American manufacturers and sent their report to the White House on December 8. The final decision on the safeguard extension sits with Biden. [more...]

Soros General Demands Purge of Military

By Daniel Greenfield

The U.S. has Soros prosecutors who have turned our cities into violent hellholes where criminals run loose, Soros politicians who wage war on this nation from the ramparts of their offices, and Soros generals who advocate for political purges of the nation's military. Recently the Washington Post ran an op-ed from three retired generals, Antonio Taguba, an immigrant who had accused America of war crimes during the fight against Islamic terrorists in Iraq; Steven Anderson, a board member of the left-wing VoteVets; and Paul Eaton, a senior VoteVets adviser, urging that the military prepare for a "2024 insurrection" in proper Soviet style. The three left-wing ex-generals called for "intensive intelligence work" to "identify, isolate and remove potential mutineers" and "guard against efforts by propagandists." [more...]

Can Politics Get Better When Higher Education Keeps Getting Worse?

By Prof. John Ellis

Voters have the sense to resist notions like critical race theory. A generation from now, they may not.

Only a few years ago, several well-established features of the current political landscape were too absurd to be taken seriously. Defunding the police was a ridiculous idea; critical race theory would be a giant step backward in race relations; leftist radicalism was a fringe element of the Democrat Party. Suddenly all have gone mainstream. However, recent election results have seemed encouraging. [more...]

The Religion of Over-Compliance and Over-Reliance

By Judd Dunning

A new dominant religion exists in America beyond traditional Christianity. This new religion is blind trust and faith in government. Religious trust in government has become the new normal for too many. Post-pandemic Biden-era Americans find themselves inextricably re-bound to a New Deal type of invasive, controlling, bigger government. Inflation costs are nearing 7%, with 30% increases in energy as Biden steers our great American ship further on to the rocks. Nevertheless, the compliant ones hypnotized by mainstream propaganda remain wide-eyed automatons. They beg for more mandates and lockdowns to address our newest COVID variant that has already been reduced to the same weakened profile as influenza. [more...]

California Can Look Forward to Socialized Medicine if Single-Payer Returns

By Sally Pipes

It's been five years since California Democrats tried and failed to bring socialized medicine to the Golden State. But with the new year comes a renewed attempt to abolish private health insurance and force all of the state's 39 million residents into a new government-run plan. AB 1400 passed the state Assembly's Health Committee last week. The bill would install a single-payer healthcare system called CalCare, in California. The full Assembly must approve the bill by January 31 to keep it alive. [more...]

Jan. 6 was about Forcefully Forgetting Failures

By Judd Dunning

January 6, 2022 was about forcefully forgetting failures. Americans are ordered to forcefully forget the Afghanistan failures, our supply chain problems, our politicized COVID lockdowns tearing down our prosperity and security, our decimated global foreign policy, and rampant Biden-induced inflation. Democrats lacking any decency or tangible legislative platform excitedly brought you their January 6th "Insurrection Anger Games." Americans saw the same boring democratic polarization playbook run again. The Russia hoax was followed by cries of Trumpism, racism, anti-vaxism and anti-climatism. Liberals still mistakenly believe that January 6th is their smoking gun. [more...]

U.S. Solar Fends Off Importers

By Kenneth Rapoza, China Expert/Industry Analyst for the Coalition for a Prosperous America

It was 15 against three this week during a USTR hearing on the Section 201 solar safeguard tariffs. Three domestic manufacturers – Auxin Solar, Q Cells, and the still trying to revive itself, Suniva – took on trade diplomats from Canada, Mexico, and Vietnam, and numerous domestic companies that design and install solar projects, most of it for electric power producers. The issue is over whether or not the White House will follow the advice of the International Trade Commission and extend the 18% tariffs on solar panels and solar cells; keep tariff quotas on 2.5GW of solar cells; and re-impose tariffs on two-sided solar panels used by utilities. Michelle Obama Announces She's Going to be a Player in the Election

By Daniel Greenfield

"We must give Congress no choice," Michelle Obama rants in the latest bulletin from her When We All Vote organization. That’s how dictators or aspiring dictators talk. After Democrats spuriously warned of a "threat to democracy" from Republicans, they once again demonstrate that they are the real threat. And that the party of radicals is projecting its own actions and attitudes onto Republicans. Michelle Obama's letter threatens to "organize at least 100,000" people to "contact their Senators, calling on them to do everything they can to pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act." Citizens for Free Speech Demands Religious Liberty for Unvaccinated Marines as Corps Begins 'Political Purge'

By Patrick Wood

More than 200 U.S. Marines have been officially discharged from the Corps since a November 28, 2021 deadline for all service members to receive COVID-19 shots, often mistakenly referred to as vaccinations. The discharged Marines are the first of an estimated 8,000 to have refused or requested exemptions from the experimental drugs mandated by the federal government, and several of America’s "best and brightest" believe they are victims of a political purge. Active-duty members of the Marine Corps were required to fully comply with the order to receive a full round of shots or to request an official exemption by Nov. 28. Marine Corps spokesman Captain Andrew Wood announced that 3,192 requests had been made for religious accommodations, and that zero requests had been approved. According to the Marine Corps Times, the corps has not granted a single religious exemption for a 'vaccine' in the past decade. [more...]

Sotomayor's Blatant Lies

By Steve Turley

As the United States waits for the Supreme Court to rule on the latest attempt by the Biden regime to forcibly vaccinate the population, the true ignorance and incompetence of our current bureaucratic class is revealed further. Obama's affirmative action SCOTUS pick Sonia Sotomayor managed to make CNN look reputable with a string of blatant lies and falsehoods regarding COVID-19. She claimed 100,000 children were currently hospitalized with the virus and that hospitals were bursting at capacity. [more...]

The Feds Continue to Fail their COVID-19 Test

By Sally Pipes

Since his first day in office, President Biden has promised to vastly expand the availability of at-home testing. Right before Christmas, he said that the federal government would send 500 million at-home tests to American households. It's unclear where he'll find them. A dearth of at-home tests remains one of the biggest obstacles to combatting the virus. And for the most part, a sclerotic, overly cautious Food and Drug Administration is to blame. [more...]

The Heart of the Life Movement Beats On

By James Hirsen

The annual March for Life, like so many other pivotal nationwide events, has been deeply impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and its parallel ripple effects. Last year the pro-life event was significantly smaller in size, consisting of a mere group of pro-life leaders who attended in person, along with a host of life enthusiasts from across the land who were only able to attend virtually. It is by design that the annual pro-life rally takes place during the same time period as the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the nation-altering 1973 U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion throughout the country. [more...]

How China Will Come to Dominate the EV Car Market in America

By Kenneth Rapoza, China Expert/Industry Analyst for the Coalition for a Prosperous America

Do Toyota and Honda have a fleet of low-cost, entry-level sedans powered by batteries? Nissan does, but only the Leaf. What about Ford? The company has its made-in-Mexico Mustang Mach-E that only the super-rich in Mexico City can afford. The Mexican production is primarily aimed at the U.S. market at this time. Tesla’s least expensive vehicle is priced over $40,000 and has an over half a year waitlist. The EV auto market has been heavily invested in by the Chinese – with at least three mid-sized sedans from Nio, XPeng and BYD ready to roll, or in the works for next year. All of them can out-subsidize any European, South Korean, Japanese, or American automaker, helping to capture markets south of the Rio Grande. [more...]

With the For the People Act, Democrats, Not Republicans, Are the Real Threat to Democracy

By Dr. John Lott

The For the People Act of 2021 replaces state voter ID rules with a signed statement from the voter and makes permanent the pandemic's mail-in ballot voting. The mailing out of blank absentee ballots en masse would become a fixture of American elections. But the bill goes well beyond that: for example, replacing the bipartisan structure of the Federal Election Commission with one-party control and regulating advertising in newspapers and other media. Put aside the absurdly false claims that was an attempted overthrow of the government and a threat to democracy. Even the increasingly partisan FBI "found scant evidence that the Jan. 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol was the result of an organized plot to overturn the presidential election result." Absolutely no one has even been charged with trying to overthrow the government. [more...]

Beware 2022 - Technocracy's War Against Humanity Set to Continue

By Patrick Wood

I am quite certain that some positive, "good news" headlines will appear in the first quarter of 2022. For instance, look for Republican optimism at taking back control of the House and Senate during the midterm elections. Omicron could be officially declared to be a 'nothing-burger' and some major corporations might remove mask and/or vaccine requirements. Fauci could resign his post as the nation's medical Technocrat-in-Chief. At 98, Henry Kissinger might finally join the late David Rockefeller and Zbigniew Brzezinski. The point is: sentiment always swings back and forth like a pendulum. Always. People who are exhausted on bad news will eagerly grab onto something that gives them hope. So, look for the sentiment pendulum to swing toward any perceived good news. [more...]

NY Covid Treatments Prioritized According to Race

By Steve Turley

If you are a New York resident, you are now officially in a Democrat-defined caste system organized according to race. New York has announced that it will prioritize non-white people in the rationing out of limited COVID-19 treatments. It is now widely reported that New York's Department of Health has released a document detailing its plan to distribute the treatments, such as monoclonal antibody treatment and antiviral pills, that will officially make the race of the patient one of the prioritizing factors in the distribution process. [more...]

Those Signing Up for Obamacare May Not Like What They Find

By Sally Pipes

A record number of Americans have signed up for health coverage through Obamacare's exchanges, according to the latest numbers from the Biden administration. This enrollment uptick is the predictable result of the more generous premium subsidies the federal government ratified in March as part of the American Rescue Plan Act. The administration is effectively paying Americans to purchase health coverage that remains subpar and - at least without subsidies - unaffordable for large swaths of the country. As of December 15, 13.6 million patients have enrolled in Obamacare marketplace coverage - a 17% jump compared with the same date in 2020. The more telling figure, however, is that 92% of those patients received subsidies in the form of premium tax credits. [more...]

The Kurt Warner Story Scores Big at the Box Office

By James Hirsen

Had a screenwriter pitched the making of the Kurt Warner story, Hollywood studio execs would probably have passed. Not believable enough. But Kurt's real-life story is true, and events that unfolded are as awesome as it gets. The undrafted quarterback hailed from a small college and stocked shelves in a grocery store to make ends meet. He first played professionally on an arena football field in his home state, where the Iowa Barnstormers took him on as quarterback. Some use the word "impossible" to describe his life trajectory. But the same would go for a lot of the bullet points of his bio, as the movie "American Underdog: The Kurt Warner Story" underscores. [more...]
