Same Old SEIU, Same Tired Attacks

Never a group to let an opportunity go to waste, the SEIU plans to disrupt travelers at major airports all over the country, and to attack retailers such as Wal-Mart during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Their plotting is all in the name of "social justice," which is no more than a code name for forced unionism. The SEIU would have you believe that it has the best interest of employees at heart, and that employers like Wal-Mart "abuse" their employees through the payment of poverty wages, while lining their own pockets with the company profits. In fact, this past week, the SEIU sent out the following e-mail to its members stating that Wal-Mart pays such low wages its employees cannot afford a Thanksgiving dinner. Therefore, Wal-Mart is hosting a food drive so they can eat on Thanksgiving. [more...]

Obamacare: Only One Website, Not Enough Choices

I find it interesting that the goal of Obamacare was to insure Americans who had no insurance. What they've ended up doing is telling millions of Americans that their insurance isn't good enough and that's why they're canceling their insurance. The way that the government is "fixing" the problem of people having substandard insurance is to give them no insurance at all. I mean, seriously, you can't even make this stuff up. Then the people who've had their insurance stripped from them because of President Obama's healthcare scheme are forced to go to a Web site that doesn't work (healthcare.gov) to buy health insurance they can't afford with money they don't have. Obama Economy May Turn "Black Friday" Red, Say Experts

The day after Thanksgiving is called "Black Friday," because this is supposed to be the day that most merchants go from losing money – shown on their ledger books in red ink – to making a profit, which they record in black ink. "Many businesses may stay in the red all of 2013 and deep into 2014 because consumer confidence is at its lowest level since 2009,” says Craig R. Smith. “The reason is that Uncle Sam is playing Santa Claus. Our politicians are spending more than $1 Trillion every year more than government takes in as taxes,” says Smith.

“More than 5 million Americans have already lost their health insurance because of Obamacare - another of Uncle Sam's 'gifts' - and the Kaiser Family Foundation warns that as many as 93 million or more of us could see our own health insurance policies cancelled by the end of 2014,” says Ponte. Check out their new book, "The Great Withdrawal." [more...]

The Hypocrisy of the Democrat Ideology's Reality

Bill De Blasio, who was elected recently as New York's new mayor with 73 percent of the vote has stated his first order of business is to shut down all the non-Planned Parenthood crisis pregnancy centers. Why? Because they don't perform abortions. You see, a crisis pregnancy center gives its patients all the information needed to make a decision before ending the life of a baby in the womb. Crisis pregnancy centers don't make millions of dollars like Planned Parenthood does so they can't buy as many politicians. The hypocrisy comes in when Democrats use terms like "equality," which means "the state of being equal, esp. in status, rights, and opportunities." This new Democratic Mayor wants to give free space to Planned Parenthood on city-owned property and he wants to shut down crisis pregnancy centers. Does this sound like "equal opportunity?" Comedy Central Hosts Downplay the Harry Reid Nuclear Option

Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart recently scurried to the defense of the wily Harry Reid. With late-night humor as a cover, the Comedy Central hosts parroted the themes of the left-leaning news media regarding the senate majority leader's unprecedented move to exercise the so-called nuclear option, which in one fateful stroke changed the more than 200-year-old procedure for filibustering presidential nominees.

With tongue solidly in cheek, Colbert, portraying his faux conservative character, referred to the day of the Reid bombshell as "the last day of America" and announced that he was leaving the U.S. to go to a little known foreign territory called "South Carolina." Colbert’s late night persona then expressed mock worry as he somberly proclaimed the following: "We have just witnessed the death of an American institution." [more...]

A Practicing Physician's Prescription for a Healthcare Fix

For all of the desperate attempts at distraction, demonization and outright lies about Obamacare the truth remains – having health insurance does not equal getting quality healthcare. It is true that there are problems with the health insurance industry. If anyone had bothered to ask independent private physicians why they no longer take Medicare/Medicaid, or why many are opting out of insurance and moving towards a cash-only practice in increasing numbers, they would tell you they stopped because the game is rigged. It has become harder for doctors and, by extension, patients to access quality affordable healthcare. Obamacare expands and empowers the most expensive aspects of our healthcare system thereby dooming Americans to pay more money in the form of taxes and rationed care. [more... ]

Supreme Court Reviews Neutrality Agreements

Last Wednesday the U.S. Supreme Court heard the initial arguments in the case Unite Here Local 355 vs. Mulhall. The case of Mulhall, a 40-year employee of Mardi Gras in Hollywood, Florida, challenged the use of a Neutrality Agreement by Unite Here to force unionize Mardi Gras employees. A Neutrality Agreement eliminates the preferred standard of use of "secret ballot elections" to determine if employees want union representation, and in its place, institutes the insidious process known as Card Check. The focus of Mulhall is whether a signed Neutrality Agreement was lawfully obtained from Mardi Gras without bribery or extortion by Unite Here, which is prohibited by Section 302 of the Labor Management Relations Act. Unite Here contends the signatures were lawfully obtained, because no money changed hands; however, Mardi Gras and Mulhall believe there were direct benefits or "consideration" received in exchange for the signed agreement. The French-Israeli-Saudi Front against Iran?

Israel and Saudi Arabia are proving the old adage correct that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend."  The Iranian regime is their common enemy. Israel sees a nuclear armed Iran as an existential threat. Sunni Saudi Arabia worries that Shiite Iran with nuclear arms will be emboldened to threaten other Sunni Gulf governments and ultimately try to force its will on Saudi Arabia itself. Thus, the Jewish state of Israel and the Islamic state of Saudi Arabia, certainly not friends in normal times, find themselves planning to join forces if necessary to stop Iran from crossing the nuclear arms finish line. The Attack on Americanism

It seems lately there is no end to the stories highlighting what appears to be an all-out attack on Americanism. A school district in Sioux Falls, SD has decided that the Pledge of Allegiance is more of a bother than it's worth. The school board voted 5-0 to stop the Pledge of Allegiance from being recited in high school because they can't find the 15 seconds to do it. One of the board members told the news source that in high school there is very little time in the mornings or afternoon to pull it off. Can you say LIAR?! [more...]

Ronald Reagan Would Have Junked Rather Than Adjusted Obamacare

Now that former President Clinton has publicly criticized Obamacare, other Democrats have begun to follow suit. Who knows? Obamacare's failures may even get criticized in the mainstream press. I believe that were Mr. Reagan alive, he would have forcefully denounced every last iota of Obamacare. He would have also explained why the traditional American belief in personal freedom and responsibility is in fact altogether more civilized and compassionate than Obamacare's bungling, deceitful, and coercive wealth distribution. PG-13 Films More Violent than R-Rated Films

Brad Bushman of Ohio State University and Daniel Romer of the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg Public Policy Center studied 945 top-grossing films from the 1950 to 2012 time period. The subject movies were found to contain 17,695 violent scenes. According to the study, over the last three decades movie scenes that feature gun violence had tripled in PG-13 movies. The researchers additionally found that by 2009 the level of gun violence in PG-13 movies was statistically the same as films that were rated R, and by 2012 PG-13 films surpassed R-rated fare in scenes containing gun violence. "The MPAA website clearly says that R-rated films contain more violence. But PG-13 films now contain significantly more violence than R-rated films." Bushman told the Los Angeles Times. [more...]

Janet Yellen Agrees to More QE Stimulus

Last Thursday, when President Barack Obama began his press conference, the news media dutifully cut away from the confirmation hearings of Janet Yellen, nominated to succeed Ben Bernanke as chair of the Federal Reserve. They preferred to cover a lame duck president to a woman who in a few days will become the most powerful person in the world as our planet's queen of money. The Federal Reserve is America's central bank and controller of the whole world's reserve currency, the U.S. dollar. When a Fed chair speaks, stock markets around the world can plummet and economies can crumble. Check out Lowell's new book, "The Great Withdrawal." [more...]

Data Reveals the Obscene, Lavish Compensation for NY’s Long Island Administrators

Should an administrator from a school district most people have never heard of make more than the President of the United States? That may be what people in the Syosset Central School District are wondering. Superintendent Carole Hankin, who retired October 31st, raked in $511,333 in compensation annually, according to SeeThroughNY.net, a transparency Web site maintained by the Empire Center. But a review of her contract reveals the fringe benefits are equally eyebrow-raising. The contract stipulated Hankin’s base pay for the 2012-13 school year to be $405,244.23 and it could never decrease. President Barack Obama, by the way, makes a base salary of $400,000 per year. Digital Currency

I confess to being a Bitcoin (digital currency) skeptic. I had an opportunity to get in on the ground floor when the digital alternative currency was trading at just $7 per Bitcoin, but didn't bite. Today, the exchange rate hit $400. Trading Bitcoin is not for the faint of heart. Daily fluctuations of 25% or more are not uncommon. For those not in the know, the currency is open source, the number of units issued is fixed and those who hold it are anonymous. Many misconceptions about it continue, which is hampering its adoption. Governments are extremely hostile to its acceptance as money.  No surprise there. It's not like you expect the Federal Reserve to welcome alternative currencies with open arms. [more...]

The Rise of Independents

A recent poll shows that 60% of Americans are not satisfied with the two-party system and want more choices. Third parties have been gaining ground, with an increasing number of Libertarian, Green and other independent candidates appearing on more ballots across the country. Many attribute this trend to the failures of the Republican and Democratic parties to respond to the needs of their constituents; but upon consideration, one finds that trend appears to be much deeper than just politics. The rise of independents is a worldwide phenomenon that is happening in every aspect of society. [more...]

What Obama and I Learned at Columbia: How to Destroy America From Within

I'm about to solve the mystery of Obama... to break "the Obama code." I'm about to tell you everything about the way Obama and the people around him really think. I'm about to rip open the true Obama plan to destroy our country. I can do this now because I was there when the plan was hatched.

How do I know all this? Because I was Barack Obama's college classmate at Columbia University (class of 1983). I was easy to recognize: the lone outspoken conservative in a class of 700 students. I knew I was in trouble when my first political science class at Columbia was "Communism 101" taught by Professor Trotsky in the Fidel Castro Building, at the corner of Marx Blvd. and Lenin Drive. I'm only half-kidding. My experiences at Columbia were not far off. Everyone needs to hear my story because what Obama and I learned at Columbia explains EXACTLY what Obama is doing to America today. Administration Buys $2 Billion of Junk Food with Food Stamps; Legislators Demand More Money for Obamacare

Since the Obama administration has expanded the food stamp program to include 47 million Americans, the U.S. government now spends over $2 billion per year on junk food, according to a recent article in the Washington Post. The irony of spending money on junk food is that cheap processed junk food usually makes people obese while also leaving them hungry, negating the entire goal of the food stamp program of helping people dealing with hunger and nutrition. As more people eat junk food that the government gives them money to buy, guess what they will need more of. You guessed it: Obamacare. [more...]

The War on Women is Brewing up Again

In a recent column in a non-conservative blog, the columnist suggested that parents warn their daughters about some of the things they can be expected or pressured to do at college when they get there. Among them, binge drinking. Sounds ok to me. No matter how hard we try to raise our kids right, peer pressure is tough to push back on. Your kids are your responsibility. This may be your daughter’s first time away from home. Maybe she hasn’t been in the big city or doesn’t understand what a real predator is. You would think parents that care like this, that had the guts to have these frank conversations with their kids, would be hailed as heroes... but no, not by one columnist. Emily Yoffe’s Slate article about binge drinking and sexual assault came under attack by the left-wing male hating group at feministing.com. [more...]

The Panic Inside the Democratic Party over Obamacare

How Obamacare Rips Off the 'Young Healthies'

When Obamacare is under attack, its defenders retreat to several well-worn claims. Among them is a provision that compels insurance companies to allow parents to keep their "children" ages of 21 to 26 on their family policies. Yet this part of the Affordable Care Act was not engineered in response to any noticeable interest group. Instead, political considerations are responsible for the provision, which is an unnecessary and a deceptive rip-off of the "young healthies." Obamacare's financing won't work unless "young healthies" (or their parents) pay through the nose for coverage under parental plans or via the individual mandate. The 18-26 age group is the lowest user of care, the least costly to cover and the most profitable of all health-insurance coverage. Yet the group faces extraordinarily high Obamacare rates. Obamacare Wreaking Havoc

Obamacare has unleashed a new malady that I call "Obamacare stress," triggering high levels of cortisol and other stress chemicals that are raising widespread anxiety, fear, and anger. This new health hazard is raising America's blood pressure, increasing the risk of heart attacks for millions, and sowing the stress seeds that can cause future cancers. If Obamacare were an environmental chemical that produced such toxic effects, President Obama's bureaucrats would rightly ban it. Check out Lowell's new book, "The Great Withdrawal." [more...]

Right-to-Work States Beware

Right-to-Work states need to take heed of several recent events, which are prime indicators of big labor's intent to revitalize its sagging membership roles and the administration's intent to support them. The most recent event was Terry McAuliffe's victory over Ken Cuccinelli in last week's Virginia Governor race, where the unions poured millions of dollars to support McAuliffe's campaign, led by the SEIU's approximately $540,000, because McAuliffe has "hinted" he would not stand in the way of Right-to-Work (RTW) being overturned in Virginia.  This is just the tip of the iceberg. Hollywood Bundlers Line Up for Hillary

Hollywood is all abuzz about the upcoming 2016 presidential primary season, and the industry has some strategic plans to make certain that things play out a lot differently than they did in 2008. In that presidential election cycle, the entertainment community found itself deeply divided between Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Back then David Geffen, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and Steven Spielberg, the three principals of DreamWorks who also happen to be Hollywood’s lead bundlers for Democratic candidates and causes, found themselves at odds with one another. Geffen and Katzenberg lined up behind candidate Obama. However, Spielberg refrained from choosing sides and instead forked over money to both Democratic candidates.

It was Geffen, though, who presented an early challenge for the Hillary Clinton campaign by speaking publicly of his misgivings concerning the Clintons. Despite having donated millions of dollars to Bill Clinton’s 1992 and 1996 presidential campaigns, Geffen voiced his opinions aloud in a 2007 interview with Maureen Dowd of the New York Times. Conservatives are Fighting Obamacare the Wrong Way

I cannot remember a time when rightwing pundits were more viciously bashing the political left and its leader. In print, TV and radio, the president is being openly spoken of as a liar, a wannabe dictator, a representative of 'creeping socialism,' someone who is secretly seeking to destroy America as we know it, and so forth. What does this accomplish? At first glance, depicting the opposition this way seems to strengthen the right. Alternatively, the attacks may not matter at all; conservatives already oppose Obama anyway, and liberals ignore whatever they say.  Another counterintuitive possibility is that these attacks on the left actually help liberals and their objectives. Federal Register: Feds Want Free School Lunches Regardless of Student Need

The federal government is looking to offer another freebie and remove even more responsibility from parents with a proposed rule to make school lunches free, regardless of need. The proposed rule is the latest development in First Lady Michelle Obama's school lunch overhaul, which imposed one-size-fits-all "healthy" regulations on school districts across America beginning in 2010. Obamacare Was Designed to Fail

Obamacare was designed to fail, manipulated by the greed of government officials and big business to usher in the single-payer system. The Affordable Healthcare Act was purposely created to be rejected by the masses. With an already agitated and confused society, the public is now longing to embrace any healthcare structure that appears to be simple, fair, and adequate. I now introduce to you the Single-Payer Healthcare System. In this system, the government (taxpayers) pays for all healthcare costs as a single public body from a single fund. Our government has the authority to contract "private" organizations and even own and employ their own healthcare resources and personnel. This signifies that the entire American healthcare system will be owned and operated by our big brother, The Government. [more...]

How ObamaCare Rips Off the 'Young Healthies'

If universal coverage is the goal, inexpensive, simple catastrophic health plans will do.

Instead, political considerations are responsible for the provision, which is an unnecessary and a deceptive rip-off of the "young healthies."

The first consideration is that young adults facing chronic unemployment - thanks to government policies that have retarded economic growth - commonly return to their parents' home. Understanding that this is what the economic "new normal" looks like, the Obama administration sought to avoid a potential political storm by providing a benefit normally connected to holding a job for one of its most reliable support groups.

Second, government's actuaries are well aware that this much-touted benefit basically costs nothing. Actuarial and other research suggests that the average male sees a physician six times between the ages of 21 and 35. The parental coverage provision seemed like a "freebie" for the administration's universal coverage sales pitch.

Third, Obamacare's financing won't work unless "young healthies" (or their parents) pay through the nose for coverage under parental plans or via the individual mandate. The 18-26 age group is the lowest user of care, the least costly to cover and the most profitable of all health-insurance coverage. Yet the group faces extraordinarily high Obamacare rates. Social Security: Like Walking Up a Down Escalator

Government Cost-of-Living (COLA) Increase is an "inflation deception," say Experts in New Book

Are you aware that President Obama is Shortchanging Americans on Social Security? Social Security benefits for nearly 58 million people will increase by only 1.5 percent next year, says the Associated Press. "The increase is among the smallest since automatic adjustments were adopted in 1975. Social Security pays retired workers an average of $1,272 a month. A 1.5 percent raise comes to about $19." AP continues, "Some advocates for older Americans complain that the COLA sometimes falls short, especially for people with high medical costs."

Authors Craig R. Smith and Lowell Ponte see COLA index as pure deception. "The U.S. government is expropriating Social Security recipients by claiming inflation now runs 1.5 percent when ShadowStats.com pegs it at between 7 and 11 percent," says Craig R. Smith in his widely-discussed new book THE GREAT WITHDRAWAL. Smith is a monetary expert frequently interviewed by Fox's Neil Cavuto and other prominent business journalists.

"This artificial (diet) COLA index also rips off taxpayers and investors - even those who pay a premium for TIPS bonds which are supposedly protected against inflation. It robs taxpayers, because the IRS supposedly adjusts its tax tables to offset inflation - yet uses these deceptively low inflation numbers to do so," adds Lowell Ponte, co-author and a former think tank futurist.  "It harms everyone who relies on Cost-of-Living increases to keep their head above water." How to Fight and Defeat Obamacare

I would recommend that all personal attacks against the president should be immediately discontinued, and he should be accorded the deference his office mandates.  The Conservative focus should instead be limited to irrefutable facts that speak for themselves. For example, rightwing pundits or politicians might point out that the government had three and a half years to prepare the computer system for the Obamacare rollout, and what it finally produced has failed miserably. Managing the actual healthcare system is an infinitely more complex task than designing its computer system. It is thus foolhardy to entrust the medical care of 300 million Americans to a management entity that has proven itself to be so grossly inept. [more...]

The Destiny of 'The Devil at Our Doorstep'

Read my amazing story of how ironic it was that a man who became my coach and influenced my decision to transfer from one college to another, and in the process forced a change of my major from being a teacher to a doctor, was a janitor.  The Lord, in His infinite wisdom, recognized years ago the course of history would have to be changed as The Devil at Our Doorstep revealed. Simply put, without a new coach (janitor), there would have been no college change or career change, and in turn, no EMS janitorial company, no SEIU attack, and most importantly, no win for employee rights. Ironically, he used a janitor to begin the chain of events to allow me the opportunity to expose big labor’s agenda and start a movement to protect employee rights. [Read the story here...]

Obamacare Might Kill from Stress

We will never know for certain how many people Obamacare inadvertently kills, but we certainly know that it, too, has become a major source of stress and is therefore hazardous to America's health. The individual cases beginning to appear in the press are chilling. An aging couple, both with severe cancer, reportedly saw their existing insurance canceled because of Obamacare rules, then learned that their only permitted alternative coverage cost at least twice as much - more than $40,000 each year. Check out Lowell's new book, "The Great Withdrawal." [more...]

The Next Big Obamacare Scandal

Obama did not just "misspeak," as a recent New York Times editorial tried to characterize his deliberate deception. As confirmed by his own aides cited in a Wall Street Journal article last Saturday, policy experts who wanted to include more truthful caveats in the president's public pronouncements concerning retention of choice of patient insurance plans and doctors were overruled by the political spinmeisters. Perhaps even more troubling than the Obama lies, however, is the political cronyism that has surfaced in the administration's choice of the contractor to fix the Obamacare Web site and a legally indefensible interpretation of the Obamacare law by Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius that can protect this contractor and its insurance company parent, among other firms, from kickback claims. New Meanings for the Word "Lie"

This week, Obama, Sebelius and Carney, introduced new meanings for the word "lie."  The president's speech from Boston talked about what a success the Obamacare rollout was (insert cricket sounds here). Seriously? If by "success," he meant the rollout of a Web site built to gather information and allow people to sign up for "affordable health care" where 90+% of the people attempting to sign onto it could do nothing, and I mean truly nothing!  The president stated a few facts about people that signed up for healthcare and saved "lots of money" only to find out later that at the time he made the speech just under 50,000 people had "signed up." Come to find out, "signed up" actually meant "registered" to use the site. Most people thought the president meant the folks were signed up for their healthcare. I have registered on many Web sites for information without signing up for the product or services. There is a difference. [more...]

Obamacare Deception

Americans are being led down the wrong path. There has been and continues to be a concerted effort led by the Government and encouraged by the media to make us believe that our healthcare system was the worse system in the industrialized world, that doctors were the cause of high healthcare costs, that if you were responsible for paying for your own health insurance you were selfish and somehow taking it from someone less fortunate, and that if you feel everyone has the right to pursue economic independence without government intervention that is designed to pick winners and losers – you hate the poor or you are racist and/or sexist. The truth is much simpler; under the guise of liberalism and fairness, our government has adopted the concept of central planning. We have had a concerted globalization of our banking system (TARP), our military (subjugation of our autonomy to the UN), and the centralization of our public education system (first with 'no child left behind' and now with the Common Core Curriculum). It has taken over 50 years starting with adoption of Medicare, i.e., socialized medicine for seniors, notwithstanding the failure of Hillary care, to take over our healthcare system with the arrival of Obamacare. You Can Keep Your Insurance and Your Doctor... If Hell Freezes Over

The President and his minions issued a number of assurances to the public during Obamacare debate. Chief among them was that if you liked your health insurance plan and your doctor, you would be able to keep them. Now, millions are finding out that these statements were complete and utter lies. The price of ignorance is often high. If people had only bothered to read, they would have understood years ago that these guarantees were untrue. For a policy to comply with the requirements of Obamacare, it had to offer ten certain basic benefits, including but not limited to, abortion, birth control pills, child delivery, mental health care and no yearly or lifetime caps for medical treatment. This meant that not only would individual health plans be legislated out of existence, but so would most, if not all, employer-provided insurance plans as well. [more...]

The Employer Mandate Could be Worse than the Obamacare Web site

If I told you that I would sell you a Web site for a billion dollars that didn't work, would expose everyone's personal information, and that would be an absolute mess, you'd probably think I was crazy. However, if you work for the Obama administration, this is just another day at the office. In just 30 days, Americans have had their insurance policies cancelled and have been directed towards a site called healthcare.gov to submit their personal information which can be shared with people that you don't know who can do God knows what with it. In just 30 days, we've seen the massive debacle that the individual mandate of Obamacare has turned out to be. But we've yet to see the worst. [more...]

Senior Homeland Security Advisor: America is an "Islamic Country"

A senior advisor to the Department of Homeland Security, Mohamed Elibiary, says that America is "an Islamic country" and continues to argue that the Muslim Brotherhood is comparable to Christian evangelicals.  Elibiary is a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council and was promoted in September. He also served on the Department of Homeland Security's Countering Violent Extremism Working Group and the Faith-based Security and Communications Advisory Committee.  He is also a long-time Texas Republican Party official and was a delegate for Senator John McCain in 2008. On October 31, Elibiary tweeted that he believes the U.S. “is an Islamic country." [Go here to see the screen shot...] Watch Ryan on The Kelly File

Israel and the UN Human Rights Council Circus

Israel decided to end its year and a half boycott of the three-ring circus known as the United Nations Human Rights Council. Responding to significant diplomatic pressure from the United States and Germany, Israel sent representatives to a Council session on October 29th to participate in a review of Israel's human rights record. The review was conducted in accordance with a process known as the Universal Periodic Review, in which each of the 193 member states of the United Nations has its human rights record assessed by the Council approximately every four years. Israel submitted a detailed 78-page report as part of this process, describing specific actions Israel has taken to fulfill its human rights obligations and responding to a number of recommendations by other member states.
