The Greek Time Bomb

Saturday, Greek officials walked away from debt negotiations and announced a referendum vote for July, 5th on the proposed debt repayment plan. In the interim week, Athens imposed strict capital controls. Today, Greece is due to pay the IMF 1.6 billion euro; however, default here seems likely. The Greek appear to be divided on accepting the EU's bailout plan: with it will come a salvaged economy, albeit with increased taxes and cuts to their much-loved pensions; but without it, Greece could be forced off the euro, and possibly out of the EU itself. Monday, with news of shuttered Greek banks, markets across the world opened in the red. Investors in U.S. markets were only slightly cooled by Greek worry, with the Nasdaq, Dow, and S&P 500 all opening about .7 percent down. European indices faced losses greater than the U.S., (2-3 percent declines) but overall, no major economic turmoil.  In this time of economic worry, investors are moving away from volatile equity markets and parking assets in stable U.S., UK, and German bonds, all of which have seen an increase in price, and inversely proportional drop in interest rates. The Truth about Fast Track TPA

Fast Track Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) is a piece of legislation that transfers Constitutional negotiation powers from Congress to the President who may use this power to negotiate any international trade agreement with any partner he chooses over the next few years (including Iran and Cuba) and to negotiate the agreements in any way the President sees fit.  Under TPA, Congress agrees to give up in advance the ability to change any existing or future trade agreement, even before Congress has actually read the agreements.  Instead, TPA requests the President consider 150 'negotiating objectives' on which Congress would like the President to 'make progress.'  The President is not required to actually accomplish any of these objectives and may ignore those requests at will.  In fact, the 2015 TPA bill makes clear that failure to achieve or make progress on any of the negotiating objectives shall not be cause for Congress to revoke trade authority from the President. Worst of all, by giving up its ability to amend or change any related laws and regulations, the President and the World Trade Organization decide to impose on the U.S.; Congress is also transferring its law-making powers to world courts. The Haters are a-Hatin'

The same-sex decision should have been left up to each individual state and to their citizenry. There are plenty of people in the LGBT community who feel the same way but are ridiculed and verbally abused into silence for having this line of thought. Haters hating in their own community. In hearing the subsequent speeches and comments made by those in the middle and on the Right, I'm excited to see that a sleeping giant has been awakened. Many Conservatives (and even those in the middle) for years have figured government would get it right and people would do the right thing. But they are now finding out that many people just don't pay attention. As I travel around speaking to various groups, Christians and Conservatives always say, "They are doing what?" or "That can’t happen!" Guess what? They did! And it is! [more...]

Is this the End of the Republican Party?

The evidence is building that the Republican Party as we have known it for decades will come to an end in 2016.  That's a big statement to make; but just look at the anger and frustration that voters are expressing now.  It's palpable and it's growing.  Over America's nearly 240 years, whenever the major parties have frustrated their supporters and have failed to provide solutions to problems sought by voters, the parties have suffered the consequences.  What's going on in the minds of citizens today?  What's going to happen to the Republican Party next year? [Go here for a complete analysis...]

Say NO to ISDS - Vote NO on TPP

I recently wrote about the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade agreement's Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) provision, in a letter to the Colorado StatesmanSay 'NO' to ISDS: Vote 'NO' on TPP. ISDS represents an unprecedented ability for foreign companies to sue U.S. states and municipalities in global courts, completely bypassing the U.S. justice system. Now that we've seen the U.S. Supreme Court's willingness to trample states' rights via their recent decision on gay marriage, the reality of potential ISDS lawsuits trampling U.S. sovereignty becomes bone-chilling. Don't let the Obama administration throw Anytown U.S.A. under the bus! Tell Congress to vote "NO" on the TPP. [more...]

Obama's Terrifying Agreement with World Leaders Could Spell Disaster for Millions

Greece, the Euro currency and Europe's entire economy may be slipping into chaos and dragging us down with them. After a fearful weekend that emptied the cash from almost half their nation's ATM machines, Greeks on Monday morning found their stock exchange and banks CLOSED and their accounts inaccessible (except for €60 per day ATM withdrawal starting Tuesday). Greece may have just reached the breaking point to which we are headed in the U.S. – a once-free market nation where banks are now required to report you to the government for making any unusual withdrawal; where banks may now refuse to let you withdraw your account in cash; and where carrying more than a small amount of cash might lead to government confiscation of your money via asset forfeiture laws. Will There Be an Iran Nuke Deal? How will the SCOTUS decisions impact 2016?

Is the President caving in to Iran on the Nuke Deal? Is chaos now the rule in the Middle East? Domestically, the President had a huge week – from the Supreme Court decisions to the trade deal. What effect will this have? And the 2016 race appears to be in total chaos six months before the caucusing begins. This – and much more – will be discussed by the POLITICAL INSIDERS – live on Fox News Channel this Sunday evening – at 7:30 PM ET. [more...]

Lessons in Finance from the Famous

Success in the music, sports and entertainment industries is frequently marked by an increase in personal financial resources. The material enhancements often occur to such a heightened degree and in such a rapid manner that the celebrated beneficiaries are left unprepared to effectively deal with their circumstances without the assistance of professional guidance.

Many well-known celebrities have found themselves in financial ruin, despite having had huge amounts of money placed within their hands. Actor Nicolas Cage, boxer Mike Tyson, rapper MC Hammer, actress Kim Basinger, and singer Willie Nelson are a few examples of some of the famed individuals who unfortunately ended up with their balance sheets in negative territory. Sometimes this ill-fated phenomenon occurs as a result of a person having spent an enormous amount of money in an extremely short period of time, leaving the individual in a situation in which more money is owed than is held in his or her possession. Was Supreme Court Justice Roberts Blackmailed?

It's time to start asking the question. It's time to be cynical. It's time to assume the worst of this government. Has Supreme Court Justice John Roberts been blackmailed or intimidated? I would put nothing by the Obama administration that lives and rules by the Chicago thug playbook.

Is the idea implausible that this same Obama administration that orders IRS attacks, then orders destruction of key evidence, would stop at nothing to save Obama's signature achievement? Is it impossible to believe that Obama and his socialist cabal that learned from Saul Alinsky that "the ends justify the means" would hold something over a Supreme Court justice's head? It's time to ask the question loudly and boldly because something is clearly wrong in Washington, D.C.

Is that the purpose of government agencies like the IRS and the NSA that are abusing our rights – to listen to us, to watch us, to find something we've done wrong, and then use it to intimidate, harass, threaten or extort key political figures so that Obama can "fundamentally change America?" Should the Pentagon Defend America against Arctic Ice or ISIS?

Climate change is in the news again.  This time because the president is requiring the Pentagon to monitor shrinking arctic ice levels.  Is it more important to focus our military resources on so-called climate change?  Or, should our limited military resources instead be directed against global terrorism, ISIS, potential EMP attacks and other national security threats? Does ISIS threaten America because of a heat wave in the Middle East or a cold winter somewhere in their world?  Can a hurricane launch an EMP Attack against Miami?  Of course not.  Climate change (if it even exists) is not a national security threat. [Go here for a complete analysis...]

A Patriot's Call to Arms against Republican "Leadership"

Republican Party “leadership” has declared war on its Congresspeople who vote “NO” on Fast Track-related procedures and legislation. Here are the names of some of our brave patriots in Washington, D.C. who are standing up to those who would give away United States' sovereignty via secretly-negotiated agreements such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade agreement and the Trade in Services Agreement (TiSA). These Congresspeople are being aggressively retaliated against by Speaker Boehner and his allies. [more...]

Are There Any Absolutes Left?

The words racist, homophobe and hater all have specific meanings and are to be applied to very specific situations. It used to be if you were labeled with one of those words, you needed to check yourself. They have now become a simple bullying tool for the Left to get the weak-spined. We now teach our kids that there are no more boys and girls; gender neutrality is good because it gives you time to figure out what gender you want to be when you get older. Oh, and you can CHANGE it any time you want! Colleges are now asking that you not call each other Miss or Sir, young lady or young man. But they also haven't really given any clear direction as to what to call each other. There are no more definitive lines. [more...]

Donald Trump is a Real Contender

Trump's initial platform contains several policy ideas that may potentially resonate with Republican primary voters, including an Affordable Care Act repeal and replacement, the prevention of a further forfeiture of U.S. jobs to China, and a tougher stance against ISIS. Distinguishing himself from the political class, Trump says, "I've watched the politicians. I've dealt with them all my life. They will never make America great again." [more...]

Genuine Trump

Donald Trump did not enter the presidential race like most other candidates - and that’s a good thing. In an era of career politicians and canned, rhetoric-heavy speeches, Trump brings with him a level of candor and business experience new to the political landscape. While Trump’s announcement speech was no doubt loud and perhaps a bit abrasive in parts, it was truly genuine. Trump is addressing key issues in the nation head on, and not couching them in comfortable political-double talk like many other presidential hopefuls. [more...]

Trump - The Right Man at the Right Time

Donald Trump is flawed; but, ironically, he may be the perfect candidate at the perfect time. Why? Because he says whatever is on his mind. He has no filters. He doesn't care about political correctness. He doesn't answer to anyone - not donors, not handlers, not consultants, not pollsters and, God bless him, not the media. Donald Trump is his own man. He says whatever he wants because he is worth $9 billion. He doesn't need any donations. He doesn't need the support of fat cat donors or multi-national corporations like the other GOP candidates.  [more...]

'Hey Ferguson. Hey Baltimore. This is South Carolina. This is how we do it. We are family. No riots. No looting. Nobody acting like animals. What do you see here? Multi-racial. Multi-ethnic. All colors. All races. Banding together to defeat evil. No Obama. No Sharpton,' say members of Interfaith Partners of South Carolina. I have friends that I admire greatly who are very vocally involved in Black Lives Matter. Those local leaders are very upset by the Mother Emanuel murders but believe in peaceful protest, not vandalism. When certain outsiders descended on Charleston after the Scott murder, the local leaders took charge and the outsiders left. Racism is racism whatever the color, profession, national origin, religion or political perspective. In response to the vandalizing of the confederate statue at Charleston Park - protesting legally is necessary at times; however, desecrating history without proper protest is never justified. The Trans-Pacific Partnership is Really a Trans-Pacific Ponzi Scheme

They call the Trans-Pacific Partnership the TPP. But it's really a bi-partisan Ponzi scheme and should be called the "Trans-Pacific Ponzi." It's a trillion dollar rip-off of the American people and American workers. President Obama wants "fast-track authority" because he wants to put the end of America as we know it on a fast track. Trust me, neither TPP nor the TPA (i.e., fast track authority for the president) are dead. Like Freddie Kruger of "Nightmare on Elm Street," they will keep coming back from the dead because the billionaires and billion dollar multi-national corporations want TPP... badly. The powers that be will not rest until it passes - come hook or crook. And since they are all crooks, they'll use any means necessary to get it passed. [more...]

Pope Francis Transforming Climate Change Debate

The most anticipated papal letter for decades will be published in five languages today. It will call for an end to the ‘tyrannical’ exploitation of nature by mankind. Could it lead to a step-change in the battle against global warming? Pope Francis will call for an ethical and economic revolution to prevent catastrophic climate change and growing inequality in a letter to the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics. Climate change has been a volatile issue for years, even amongst leading scientists and researchers from other disciplines. In his new documentary, Dark Winter: How the Sun is Causing a 30-Year Cold Spell, scientist John L. Casey, a former White House national space policy advisor, NASA headquarters consultant and space shuttle engineer, tells the truth about ominous changes taking place in the climate and the sun.

The 'Secret War' Against Cash Exposed

American life, liberty and wealth are at risk today as never before according to THE SECRET WAR: What the 'War on Cash' is Doing to Your Income, Savings, Life and Liberty, and How to Survive It, our new White Paper. Citizens are being pushed by big government and big banks to voluntarily abandon cash for the greater 'convenience' of a cashless future. Cash will eventually be outlawed or restricted with capital controls already coming down hard in Sweden, Denmark, France, Greece, and many other places. America's central bank, The Federal Reserve, now finds itself painted into a corner, having used up its bag of monetary tricks. [more...]

The Latest on the TPP

There are lots of ugly aspects to the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade agreement, not the least of which is its "living agreement" status. The TPP is opposed by people from all political parties and most issues groups. Whether the issue is the economy or food safety, there's something in the TPP for everybody to grab hold of and fight against. The trillions of dollars of international trade, which the U.S. already participates in, are not going to disappear if we don't pass the TPP. Current jobs are not in jeopardy. Almost every country in the world is already welcome to do business with the U.S. as they wish without a trade deal - even the currency manipulators and the human rights abusers. Why, then, are we pushing so hard to squeeze every last dime from the planet via the TPP? [more...]

The Curious Case of Rachel Dolezal

Is Rachel Dolezal a brave "trans-black" woman setting herself free, the same way Caitlyn Jenner is transgender? Or is she intentionally deceiving others for her own financial and personal gain? The case in favor of Rachel is suspicious. During an interview Friday, she dodged questions then abruptly walked away, leaving her purse and car keys behind. Furthermore, over the past years, Rachel reported eight instances of hate-crimes committed against her, including a swastika and noose on her door. Police investigations into the matter never turned up a suspect, yet in fact led people to suspect she may have been behind it herself. A package containing racist material was left in her NAACP mailbox, though contained no official date stamp from the post office, indicating only someone with a key (Rachel) could have deposited the box. The story of Rachel Dolezal raises lots of questions about both her life and the greater climate of race in the U.S. I think this one will take a while to pan out. [more...]

Jeb, Trump and Counting

With Jeb entering the race yesterday, and Trump entering today with a $9 billion net worth, will we see one of the most exciting and unusual nominating processes in history?  Will it be the most expensive?  There can only be one Republican presidential candidate and one Republican VP candidate, so that leaves around 18 other disappointed candidates.  Given all the money raised and apparently available (for example, Trump), there is a real chance we might have an independent, third-party candidate in 2016. [Go here for a complete analysis...]

Obama Forced Equality

Mr. Obama has decided that we Americans don't really understand equality. He thinks we don't understand how to help our neighbors (or others) so he is going to mandate it. As usual, he thinks by forcing his view of "equality" on us it will make everything perfect. The president is having HUD (the Department of Housing and Urban Development) - those same wonderful people who gave you "the projects," "ghettos," and "Section 8 housing" - look at the inequities in various neighborhoods that are mostly white, mostly black, mostly rich, mostly poor, and basically not diverse enough. Why? To implement forced equality. He wants to use billions of dollars in HUD grants as a carrot to cities to mix up the neighborhoods a bit more - you know, make adjustments in building codes and such to bring in more "diversity." If you don't, your grant money just might disappear. He and HUD are going to dictate how a neighborhood should look or else! [more...]

Massive Hacking of Government Employee Records

A massive hacking of government employee records, presumably by the People's Republic of China, went undetected for more than a year. At first it appeared that 4 million confidential employee records were stolen, but computer security expert David Kennedy, the “White Hat Hacker,” told Fox News that because the hacking bug likely spread for more than a year, it might have collected bio secrets of ALL government employees. "Hackers stole personnel data and Social Security numbers for every federal employee, a government worker union said Thursday, charging that the cyberattack on U.S. employee data is far worse than the Obama administration has acknowledged." Security clearance employees give personal, secret and potentially embarrassing information about themselves to the government, so this hacking might make those who know America's highest secrets into easy targets for Chinese blackmail. Clinton's Base Trouble and the Rise of Independents

Recently there were three national polls focusing on Hillary Clinton's current political situation. While each poll's sample varied and the questions were also slightly different, they revealed some startling discoveries. The big news: Clinton has begun to lose support in her base groups: women, highly educated voters, young voters and non-whites. In all four groups, over the past two months as there are almost-daily revelations about the e-mail server, huge speaking fees and Clinton Foundation payments, Clinton's support has declined. And among young voters, it is the never-ending Benghazi investigation that is hurting Clinton the most. [more...]

Is Political Correctness Killing Comedy?

Known for his brand of sophisticated observational humor, comedian Jerry Seinfeld may seem like an unlikely individual to be ringing a warning bell about the mounting threat against freedom of expression that political correctness is currently posing. However, after remarks made on ESPN radio and "Late Night with Seth Meyers" appeared on the Internet, Seinfeld appears to have taken center stage on the touchy speech issue.

First, during a guest spot on Colin Cowherd's ESPN radio show, the King of Sitcoms discussed obstacles that have been created as a result of speech restrictions stemming from political correctness on college campuses. He told radio host Cowherd, "I don't play colleges, but I hear a lot of people tell me, 'Don't go near colleges. They're so PC.' They just want to use these words: 'That's racist;' 'That's sexist;' 'That's prejudice.' They don't know what the hell they're talking about."

In a round two of sorts, during a further discussion on the topic on Meyers's late-night talk show, Seinfeld stoked the PC furnace by making reference to the increasing need for comedians to apologize for material that has been labeled offensive by the new politically correct filters being placed on discourse. "There's a creepy PC thing out there that really bothers me," he remarked. [more...]

What Just Happened in Las Vegas Could Destroy the GOP

Only Republicans could win a record-setting historic landslide and still allow liberals to control the agenda. It just happened in my hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada. And trust me - it's headed your way. You need to hear this story, study it and get ready to fight it before it happens in your state.

It’s already happening on a national level. Republican cowards in Congress are backstabbing their own voters - the same loyal base that handed them the biggest victory in modern American political history. Or have you noticed any progress in stopping or even slowing Obama’s agenda since that landslide? Have you seen Congress cutting any spending? Cutting even one tax? Starving the funding for Obamacare? An end to the border crisis? Any attempt by Congress to stop Obama’s amnesty for illegals?

Worse, have you read about the TPP (Trans Pacific Partnership) mystery? Republicans are helping Obama pass major legislation that could kill millions of American jobs, yet they admit they’ve never read it. No one on Capitol Hill has any idea what’s in it. The full details of TPP are kept in a special guarded room. Why? Something buried deep in the details must be very very bad. If Obama supports it, it can’t promote free trade. It must support socialism, economy-killing climate change regulations and open borders. Yet the GOP is blindly helping Obama pass it. Great job boys! [more...]

TPA - Poison Pill or Vitamin for Free Trade?

Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) is currently being debated across America.  A vote in the House is expected very soon.  It's about as controversial and confusing a subject as any national issue gets with conservatives and progressives all over the map.  It definitely does not follow standard party lines. TPA is legislation originally created by Congress in the early 1970's that authorizes the president to negotiate trade agreements with other nations.  If the president negotiates a trade agreement, he is required to send it to Congress for an up or down vote within a limited period of time; this voting process does not allow any amendments to the trade agreement prior to the vote.  It's a straight up or down vote. [Go here for a complete analysis...]

California Sinking?

For decades California has been under political and financial siege by labor unions partnering with state politicians to press their political agendas. The poor financial condition of the state of California is indicative of the symbiotic relationship of labor and politics which serves to benefit each other to the detriment of its citizens. Despite the fact that many Californians recognize that big labor represents an oppressive cost which is destroying the state, they are currently fighting a losing battle and it continues to get progressively worse. Recently, union members themselves became concerned about Big Labor's agenda and began mounting a push back. [more...]

The U.S. Dollar vs. the Euro

The recession of 2008 greatly impacted economies across the world. In the seven years following the crash, markets lifted themselves back towards prosperity with varying degrees of success. One of the fastest recovering globally significant economies is that of the United States, and while there still remains years of work, we are faring much better than certain European counterparts. One of the hardest hit and slowest to recover is Greece, which is an anchor weighing down the recovery of the euro zone. As a result of the United States’ success and Europe’s sluggishness, the U.S. dollar is rallying against the euro, coming within a few cents of parity. [more...]

The Two Frontrunners in the 2016 Race

He is the lowest net worth candidate running for president! Enter Mrs. Clinton - she has been involved in scandals, questionable dealings, or just downright illegal activities since the 1970's. Is this the best we can do? [more...]

CASH AND CARRY - It is Now Against the Law to "Almost" Break the Law

How much cash can you now withdraw from your bank and carry in America without risk of being arrested, or of having your assets seized, merely for possessing money in this liquid form? The ominous answer is that carrying even one dollar in cash might give the government a pretext for such actions. Once upon a time, this question usually mattered only at the border. People were required to declare if they were carrying more than $10,000 in cash or negotiable instruments when entering or leaving the United States.  Failure to make a truthful declaration to U.S. Customs can result in the forfeiture of the money a person is carrying. Today, because of anti-racketeering RICO statutes and the 2001 Patriot Act, your bank is required to notify the federal government if you deposit or withdraw $10,000 or more in cash. In effect, your bank is required to spy on your financial life in this way for the government. [more...]

Hillary Has "Metastatic Political Cancer"

In this special segment of POLITICAL INSIDERS, we analyze the three newest polls from CNN, the Washington Post and Fox and explain how serious Hillary's problems are among her base voters - women, highly-educated, young and non-white voters. We discovered that Hillary's base voters are now beginning to react negatively to the e-mail and Clinton Foundation scandals - and that Benghazi is in fact an even bigger problem for her among young voters. She "has a metastatic political cancer" that is spreading to the heart of her campaign. The so-called mainstream media "does not know how to read these polls" and naively continues to report that all is peachy in Clinton World - when it is not. Watch here. [On the upcoming GOP Debates]

Fmr. Sen. Dodd Gets Three-year Contract Extension from MPAA

Christopher Dodd is the former U.S. senator who represented the state of Connecticut for thirty long years. Dodd announced in 2010 that he would not seek re-election, but came to the decision amid a cloud of allegations. When news stories emerged that he was seeking a lucrative post-Senate lobbying position, Dodd responded by telling The Hartford Courant that he would "not lobby, but, like [former U.S. senators] Hagel and Nunn, he may teach."

The Connecticut Mirror quoted the then-senator as answering in an unequivocal manner the question surrounding his future employment by asserting the following: "No lobbying, no lobbying." In February 2011, though, Dodd did take one of the most sought after lobbying positions in the country - that being Hollywood's top lobbying post, a new job in which he would serve as Chairman of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA). Dodd, who at best has a spotty track record of seeking legislation favorable to the entertainment industry and whose response to the hack of Sony's computer network was highly criticized, has nonetheless been rewarded with a three-year contract extension. Al Qaeda Appeasing Vice-Chancellor of Oxford Says U.S. Overreacted to 9/11

We've heard this before: Americans overreacted to an attack that destroyed two skyscrapers, killed thousands and targeted the White House and the Pentagon. Americans 'overreacted' to the 9/11 attacks, according to the newly appointed first female vice-chancellor of Oxford University. Terrorism wasn't a new experience. Terrorism on this scale was. What's strange is the repetition of this narrative despite the obvious fact that no terror attack on this scale took place in the UK. The worst terror attack in mainland Britain was Al Qaeda's 7/7 attack, which was nowhere near the same scale as 9/11, which had much more in common with the Blitz than it did with the IRA bombings. That or Guy Fawkes Day. [more...]

How the Hastert Scandal Touches You

Immediately after his indictment, rumors exploded that former Republican House of Representatives Speaker Dennis Hastert of Illinois paid $1.7 Million in hush money to buy a purported victim’s silence about his alleged sexual misbehavior. The government's charges against Hastert, however, thus far have nothing to do with sex and much to do with the no-longer-private, no-longer-secure world of banking. The federal indictment accuses Hastert only of making, and then lying about, bank withdrawals in violation of a relatively-new, almost Orwellian crime called "structuring." In our 2014 book, Don’t Bank On It! The Unsafe World of 21st Century Banking, we warned that the federal government now requires your bank to spy on you and report every withdrawal or deposit you make of $10,000 or more. [more...]

2016 Presidential Election Issues – Urban Crime Wave

One vital issue that will likely surface in the 2016 presidential election campaign is the growing urban crime wave in cities across America.  Homicides are up a whopping 180% in Milwaukee.  Murders are up in New York City, Atlanta, St. Louis, Chicago and Los Angeles.  This past Memorial Day weekend in Baltimore alone, there were a staggering 32 shootings.  The inner city poor are hurt the most in our current national urban crime wave.
