Did the CTU Create an Offensive Test Question to Make Conservatives Seem Racist?

Surely CTU President Karen Lewis and the other far-left activists in the union would never politicize student test questions... would they? We have to wonder, since a test question for seventh-graders identified two phony articles – supposedly written by conservatives who oppose citizenship for illegal immigrants. The articles read more like something published by the KKK than everyday conservatives. [more...] Go here for Common Core Watch

Is America's Constitution Being Replaced?

President Barack Obama is unhappy with the U.S. Constitution and wants to change it. America's Founding Fathers, Mr. Obama has said, had "an enormous blind spot" and produced a "deeply flawed" document as the cornerstone of our republic. One such flaw, he told Democratic Party campaign contributors in Chicago on May 22, is that it apportions two Senate seats to each state, large or small. "That puts us at a disadvantage," said President Obama. Democrats, he said, "tend to congregate a little more densely" in big cities like Chicago and New York, and this, plus the way congressional seats are apportioned by population and state, gives Republicans an advantage. These "are some structural reasons why, despite the fact that Republican ideas are largely rejected by the public, it's still hard for us to break through," said President Obama. Oddly, despite Mr. Obama's claim that the public rejects Republican ideas, the GOP holds a solid majority in the House of Representatives and has a good chance of winning control of the Senate this November. Obamacare Levies New Tax on Employers

President Obama seems to change the law based upon the mood of the day. In another typical Friday night news release, the Obama administration announced a new regulation/tax on employers. Employers who found healthcare under Obamacare to be too expensive to provide to their employees are now going to be forced to provide employee healthcare or face a stiff fine. Many employers decided to give a cash contribution to their employees, oftentimes in the amount that their health insurance used to cost before Obamacare. Employees would take that cash and then go on to the exchange and purchase individual insurance. This is the system that Obamacare gave us. However, when the President found out that people were following it, and not getting fined, he decided that something needed to be done. Now employers are subject to a $100 per day ($36,500 per year) fine per employee who purchases health insurance from the individual exchanges. [more...]

Political Correctness Brings More Shooting Sprees

Over the weekend a very disturbed young man killed 6 people (3 stabbed, 3 shot) and injured several others (some with his car) before turning the gun on himself. The posts on Facebook went out immediately: "full background checks for all gun sales," "we need to make it harder for people to get guns," "high capacity magazines need to be banned" and "no one needs a gun." Really, LIBERAL America, get a grip! This is the perfect case to show how foolish all those comments are. This piece is going to be a little harsh, so stop reading if you don't want an in-your-face look at this massacre. [more...]

The VA Scandal, Benghazi and 2016

What President Obama Should Say to Mexico's President about Our Imprisoned Marine

Memorial Day is over, but we are reminded of the sacrifices of our military heroes by a high profile story in the news right now. We have an explosive international incident developing over the false imprisonment of a U.S. Marine hero in Mexico. Remarkably, our president and Secretary of State have not even chosen to bring this issue up with Enrique Pena Nieto, the President of Mexico. I believe the U.S. has great leverage in this situation- if we had a real leader running this country. Unfortunately we have the weak, feckless, neutered, bowing Barack Obama. [more...]

Santa Barbara Attacker Epitomizes the Dark Side of Technology

The tragic scenario is hauntingly familiar. A young man possesses limited social skills, indulges over the course of time in an inordinate amount of video game play, receives periodic professional assistance for issues with which he is dealing, and is at one point prescribed psychiatric medication (whether taken or not is yet unknown). He somehow crashes through the internal guardrails that keep vindictive fantasies from emerging as vicious realities. A horrific killing spree results and multiple lives are left in tatters as the nation attempts to cope with the chilling aftermath.

The disturbing fact pattern has been repeatedly laid bare in Columbine, Colorado, Newtown, Connecticut, and now in Isla Vista, California, near the campus of the University of California, Santa Barbara. Seven people, including the attacker, were killed in the recent Isla Vista tragedy, while thirteen other individuals were wounded. The mayhem began with a stabbing attack at an apartment, followed by a series of drive-by shootings and hit and runs. [more...]

SEIU Shows it is Not About Employee Free Choice

The Service Employees International Union (SEIU), arguably the most ardent proponent of the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA), continues to demonstrate the hypocrisy of its true motives through its tactics and political machinations. The political maneuvering of the SEIU and its big labor brethren show that they do not have employees' best interests at heart, and that their ultimate objective has nothing to do with employee free choice (see SEIU’s Insidious Tentacles). In fact, it’s the SEIU’s continued tactics, such as this past week’s fast food worker strikes that show why it is a charade and proves once again that big labor’s Only Concern is for Dues. New Film Exposes Progressivism

The filmmaker who exposed Barack Obama’s Marxist background, and debt to a pro-Soviet Communist Party operative, is trying once again to wake up America. This time, Joel Gilbert is using Michael Moore-style cinematic tactics to expose President Obama, the progressives, and their destructive Marxist schemes. His new film, There’s No Place Like Utopia, is due in theaters this summer. The world premiere will be in Denver. The theme is that socialism’s false promise is comparable to the fraudulent wizard behind the curtain in "The Wizard of Oz." [more...]

The Survival of Thriving

I thought of myself as a very successful businesswoman and author of two award-winning and bestselling books; but after my recent and sudden health emergency that left me in a near fatal condition, I've been forced to reanalyze what the definition of success really means. My medical condition was brought on by unseen health conditions, which if I had taken the appropriate time for myself, could have been avoided by preventive measures. Combine our change-the-world ambitions with a diligent work ethic and 24/7 technology, and we've got a recipe for chronic exhaustion which ultimately leads to health issues. It goes without saying that a massively driven, self-made entrepreneur will innately struggle with the importance of sleep, the challenges of perfectionistic tendencies, and struggles with time but to be truly successful, one must live for the things that are irreplaceable. Latinos Not Buying Obamacare

While most people think that all minorities including Hispanics are blind supporters of President Obama, the numbers tell quite a different story. It turns out that while Latinos may have been promised the world by candidate Obama, who warned them against the perils of a Mitt Romney presidency, the administration hasn't included the U.S. Hispanic community. According to the 2012 Census figures, Hispanics led all ethnic groups in the total percentage of uninsureds. That's why the administration banked on having huge numbers of Hispanics sign up under Obamacare. What happened was quite the opposite. The administration missed their targets for Latino enrollment into Obamacare by more than 30%. Going into Obamacare, 29% of all Hispanics were without healthcare coverage. [more...]

Political Correctness IS a Form of Hate

By definition of the left, a hater is one that doesn't agree with you... period.  The assumption is that because I don't agree with same sex marriage, abortion, and immigration that I HATE all those involved. If we are going to communicate with each other - and we know communication can make or break a relationship - we need to speak the same language. If you are going to call me a hater, racist, homophobe, or bigot, should we not be using the same meaning from the same widely accepted dictionary? Based on Webster's dictionary, if I don't agree with and feel strongly against abortion and/or dislike abortion, then a true statement would be that I hate abortion. However, also based on Webster's definition, I do not hate the person who performed or had the abortion because I don't have an intense or passionate dislike for the person - just the act. To communicate clearly, we have to speak the same language with the same understanding. Definitions for racist, homophobe, bigot, and so on have to have the same meanings for all or they mean nothing. [more...]

The Top Reasons People Have Too Much Debt

* The average person can go 17 days without a paycheck.
* One in five people have over $10,000 in consumer debt alone.
* 41% paid nothing on their principal balance of their debts.
* 43% of American families spend more than they earn (in many cases, more than 20%).
* Sadly, young people aren't showing any signs of improvement. For example, the average amount of credit card debt for people between ages 20-29 is $1,800 and total debt for 20-somethings averaged $45,000.
* Only 13 states require students to take finance class yet most require gym classes.
* 60% of people ages 18-34 don't keep a budget.
* Educational debt is the fastest growing debt in the US. In fact, average student loan debt for 2010 (when I researched this) was $25,000, yet they had an unemployment rate of 12.4%. In fact, it is estimated that almost 50% of recent college graduates are either unemployed or underemployed.

'Million Dollar Arm' Scores One for the American Dream

Mixed in with the early season's action and superhero movies is one gem of a summer release. "Million Dollar Arm" may actually turn out to be Disney's feel-good film of the year. Distinguished from other sports oriented movies, this film not only combines elements of comedy, drama and romance, it also weaves in some compelling time-honored themes.

There are some important life lessons that are intertwined in the plot line. "Million Dollar Arm" includes a character that is a high-powered businessman, who is initially motivated by money but goes through a transformation that is prompted by the love of a newfound family. The film makes the case that some risks are worth taking despite seemingly impossible odds, and it additionally delves into some of the attributes of the human spirit that light the path to success, including the qualities of creativity, perseverance and integrity. Why Rebuild The World Trade Center?

I have many fond memories of the Twin Towers: drinks at Windows on the World and time spent looking out from the Observatory. The rebuilding is well underway, but it's thirteen years later and lower Manhattan is still a slow moving labyrinth of street construction and security stops. The Freedom Tower is nearing completion. We received a private tour of the memorial and a close-up of the new buildings.

In the years since 9/11, the neighborhood around the Trade Center (financial district) has evolved, independent of government intervention. Once the financial hub of the free world, it is now a major residential center. Many of financial firms once located there either folded after the 2008 crash or had the good sense to flee the outrageous New York City tax burden. For them, there's no reason to be downtown any longer. The stock exchanges are just Hollywood backdrops; the real trading takes place electronically in New Jersey. Can you spell Flash Boys?

So did we really need another WTC? Most decidedly not! That land was and is extremely valuable and the market would have found a higher and better use for it. Now we'll never know what might have been. That's just the way things go in the workers' paradise called New York City. [more...]

The Truth Behind the Kidnapping of the Nigerian Girls

As the White House misleads the American public about the truth behind the kidnapping of the Nigerian girls, terrorism analysts are shaking their heads at this politically correct theater. Boko Haram is not only laughing at our hashtag campaign, they are laughing at our willful naivete.

Here is the reality: 90% of the girls kidnapped were Christians. Those who were released by Boko Haram are Muslims. This was a predominantly Christian School. Chibok is predominantly a Christian community.

Testimonies by those who escaped have been published by Nigerian newspapers. The girls are being raped up to 15 times a day by their captors. Those who refused to convert to Islam are having their throats cut.

This is no different than all the kidnappings and rapes that have been taking place against Christian girls in Egypt, Syria, and other Islamic countries across the world especially with the rise of Islamic radicalism. The only reason we are talking about it now is because it was done en masse by a group who is so proud to be standing on Koranic scripture which discusses slaves and Islam.

Koran 4:24 calls it "Milk al-yamin" - "That which your right hands possess." When a slave market is created in a jihad (fighting between Muslims and infidels) you can capture and enslave the women. This is why this act has not been condemned by Al-Azhar University in Egypt, the highest authority of Islamic jurisprudence in the world, nor Saudi Arabia or any of the Islamic countries. It is because it is justifiable in the Koran by the Prophet Mohammed.

To discuss more details and hear whether or not we should get involved to release them and whether negotiations and prisoner exchanges will succeed, please consider having Brigitte Gabriel on your program.

Look Who Plays 'Wizard of Oz' in New Film

"The film is similar in style to the highly successful Michael Moore films," Gilbert told WND. "The narrative follows me as I journey across America and take audiences on a humorous and horrifying exploration of progressivism, amnesty for illegals, race relations, Islam in America, political correctness and Barack Obama himself, who promises to 'remake the world not as it is, but as it should be,'" Gilbert said.  In the film, Gilbert depicts Barack Obama as the wizard in the classic "The Wizard of Oz."

"The fundamental lesson of 'The Wizard of Oz' is that there is no wizard." Gilbert said. "Obama has made promises after promises that have all turned out to be empty; they've all turned out to be lies.  The people I met who supported him were literally living in dungeons in the witch's castle; everything had changed for the worse – Detroit, the south side of Chicago, Newark... Fifty years of progressive control over these cities demonstrated that no one was progressing; they were all regressing." [more...]

Filmmaker Joel Gilbert, who produced the 2012 documentary Dreams from My Real Father, presenting the case that Communist Party activist Frank Marshall Davis was the biological father of Barack Obama, has produced a new film, There’s No Place Like Utopia, scheduled for theatrical release this summer.

Utopia and the Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy

America, we have a problem. America has been under siege from a vast left-wing conspiracy. Obama's election was not a sudden political phenomenon. It was the result of an American socialist movement that Obama's real father, Frank Marshall Davis, nurtured in Chicago and Hawaii, and has been quietly infiltrating the U.S. economy, universities, and media for decades. Why did Dorothy follow the yellow brick road? Is Utopia a real destination for America or is the true path to happiness still faith, family and hard work - back home in Kansas? [more...]

Is Obama a Jinx upon America?

Have you heard? China is set to pass America as the world's #1 economy. THIS YEAR. We've been told this day of reckoning was years, if not decades, away. We always knew it would come someday. But under the leadership and economic policies of Obama, it's suddenly jumped way ahead of all previous projections. What an embarrassment. The USA has had the unchallenged #1 economy in world since 1872 (when we passed the United Kingdom) - eighteen hundred and seventy two. Let that sink in for a while. 142 years of world dominance erased in only six years under one man's leadership. [more...]

Obama Employer Mandate to Hurt Low Wage Earners

One half of the President's signature piece of legislation (Obamacare) is the employer mandate, which requires employers with more than 50 full-time employees to provide health insurance. This employer mandate has been cancelled for the next two years, not by any act of Congress, but by the mere stroke of President Obama's pen (or keystroke of his blog). A new study conducted by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Urban Institute report that law wage earners would be most drastically affected by the employer mandate in Obamacare. The report calls the employer mandate a "regressive approach" because the employers who do not offer healthcare are the ones most likely to employ low wage workers that will end up bearing the brunt of the penalties of Obamacare. According to the study, the fines paid by large employers will be passed along to employers in the form of even lower wages. [more...]

What Does Someone Have to Do to Get Fired Around Here?
By Joe Messina

When I was a kid, (yes, back when a tablet device was an Etch-a-Sketch) my Dad advised me to get a job with AT&T, Edison or the government. Why? Because they would be around forever and it's nearly impossible to get fired, especially as a civil service or union member. Fast forward 30+ years later only to find out he was absolutely correct. Let's take a look back at the reckless wastefulness of our government and the employees who should have been fired - from the group of IRS individuals that spent millions of your tax dollars flying around checking out pricey resort-like places to have "business retreats"... to the $50,000 spent on video parodies of Star Trek ... to Benghazi. What does the creation of a House Select Committee to investigate the Benghazi tragedy mean politically? Will this hurt Hillary? Did the GOP stumble by fundraising off of these murders? Why has the House GOP suddenly gotten tough on the administration? Why is the President talking climate change? This – and much more – will be discussed by the POLITICAL INSIDERS on Fox News Channel this Sunday evening at 7:30 PM ET. [more...]

Hollywood Awakens to Sharia Law

The entertainment community recently placed on the blacklist one of the previously topnotch places to stage the most lavish of Hollywood events. The luxurious Beverly Hills Hotel has played an integral role throughout the history of the entertainment business, catering to legendary figures from the Golden Age of cinema including John Wayne, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, and myriad of other major celebrities.

This is no longer the case. The hotel is actually currently owned by a business entity that is under the control of the Sultan of Brunei, the ruler of a small Southeast Asian country who recently decreed into law a new penal code, which mandates that lesbians, gay men, adulterers, and blasphemers be stoned to death.

The news sparked a Hollywood awakening, which has led to protests outside the famed hotel. Former "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno surprised many observers when he personally participated in a demonstration. "We hope maybe to draw attention to this and people go, OK, maybe I won't hold my event there until they change this. I mean we have the economic pressure to apply," Leno said. [more...]

The Wrong Obama Just Got Fired

Have you heard? Barack Obama's brother-in-law was just fired after six seasons as head basketball coach at Oregon State. It's wonderful to hear the words "fired" and "Obama" in the same sentence. Unfortunately for America, the wrong member of the Obama family was canned after six failing years. If ever there was a case to fire a CEO, it's Barack Obama. Why should running an economy be any different than running a sports team? Both are about results. Winning. [more...]

Time for Truth & Consequences on the Benghazi Cover Up

As Hillary Clinton contemplates running for president in 2016, I wonder if she dreams of conjuring up the Benghazi tragedy and cover-up and repeating in her sleep, "What difference does it make?"  She just cannot get rid of the Benghazi stain on her record. Every time she thinks it's safe to go back into the water and leave Benghazi behind, another bit of the truth is revealed that calls into question the honesty of the Obama administration, including its former Secretary of State, about what happened before, during, and after the September 11, 2012 jihadist attack. And every time, we can count on spinmeisters in President Obama's camp such as White House Press Secretary Jay Carney to say things like Benghazi is old news and that Republicans are engaging in unfounded conspiracy theories. Is Truth Alive, Anywhere?

I have this mindset that truth prevails and I believe truth will always win - eventually, not always at first, but it will always win. The Bible calls the truth "light" and light always drives out darkness. It seems in today's society truth is a fleeting 140 character or less thing. Mainstream media couldn't find it if you put it in a bag marked with flares. The president, being the constitutional scholar that he is, can't even spell it. When President Obama was interviewed by Bill O’Reilly, he said there were no scandals. I guess he doesn't know what a scandal is. [more...]

Green Supremacy: What Donald Sterling Doesn't Practice

The most communal inaccuracy the dominant society makes when discussing racism is to think it is a collection of prejudices and individual acts of discrimination. They do not see that it is a system of interlocking, reinforcing institutions: economic, legal, educational, and cultural. As a system, racism affects every aspect of life in a society - the "culture" that now former owner of the NBA Clippers was referring to in his infamously leaked audio recordings. By not acknowledging racism as a system, people often individualize racist acts and comments. [more...]

'Conform' Co-Author Exposes 'Open Contempt for Parents' in America's School System

Kyle Olson, the founder of the Education Action Group and the co-author of Glenn Beck's newest book Conform: Exposing the Truth About Common Core and Public Education, said Tuesday that there is "open contempt for parents" among many of the progressives involved in running America's school system today. One of the times the contempt is most apparent, Olson said on Glenn Beck’s radio program, is when parents are told they can't criticize the education system if they are not professional educators. "They will ... belittle anyone who does not have an education degree, because obviously the implication is, 'Well, if you are not an expert, then how can you possibly know anything?' But parents know what is in the best interest of their child. They know their kids," he said. [more...]

Rand Paul and Silicon Valley are Made for Each Other

Rand Paul has been seeking support for a possible 2016 White House run in a rather unlikely place. The Kentucky senator and likely GOP presidential candidate has been meeting with individuals and groups in the Democratic stronghold of Northern California's technology community.

Trey Grayson, Sen. Paul’s establishment-backed opponent in Kentucky's 2010 senatorial primary election, told the co-hosts of the "Capital Games" podcast that he views Paul as a potential frontrunner in the 2016 presidential race.

"He's obviously extraordinarily talented with politics. He's I think got a good sense of timing. He's got a message that is resonating with Republican Party voters right now, and he's a serious candidate," Grayson said to cohosts ABC News's Rick Klein and ESPN's Andy Katz. [more...]

Is John Boehner Stupid, Bought, or Playing for Other Side?

Something is wrong with the most powerful Republican in the United States Congress. He is either stupid, bought and paid for by crony corporate interests, or he's on the other side (a Democrat posing as a Republican). Because nothing else explains the news that the GOP intends to pass immigration reform (i.e. amnesty) this year. Nothing.

You might be wondering how I know it’s "amnesty." Because to pass it through Harry Reid’s Senate and to avoid a veto from President Barack Obama, it must include some form of amnesty for illegal immigrants (i.e. future Democratic voters). Nothing could ever pass Harry Reid’s Senate that doesn’t include some form of amnesty, allowing Democrats to wear the crown of conquering heroes to the Latino community and therefore garner more votes for Team Obama in November.
