Trump Kicking Up McConnell Leadership Challenge

By Dick Morris

These midterm elections are more than just Republicans seeking to unseat Democrats' congressional majorities. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., is on the chopping block, too. There are two contests going on: One is between Democrats and the Republicans for control and the other is between Trump and McConnell for the majority of the leadership. Trump not only wants the Senate to flip to Republicans, but he wants it to flip McConnell out of the leadership position, too. [more...] Check out Dick's book, The Return: Trump's Big 2024 Comeback.

New York Defies Supreme Court with Unconstitutional Gun Permit Laws

By John Lott

New York’s new gun control law takes effect in two weeks. The law turns New York into a giant "gun-free zone." But it also requires an in-person interview with law enforcement and the sharing of all social media accounts in order to obtain a gun license. By requiring that gun license applicants have "good moral character," New York is still acting in defiance of June's Supreme Court decision, New York State Rifle and Pistol Association, Inc. v. Brue. In a new court filing last week, New York Attorney General Letitia James claims that without these requirements, there would be an "entirely predictable chaos." Democrats and gun control proponents have voiced similar fears in the other six states affected by the Supreme Court's decision. [more...]

An American Gestapo and Bullets or Overwhelming Ballots?

By Scott Powell

We all got another jolt in last week’s signing into law the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act, which provides $80 billion to the IRS to hire 87,000 new agents. That will almost double its present size, making the IRS larger than the Pentagon, the State Department, the FBI, and the Border Control combined. Such an enlarged IRS is inexplicable and makes little sense, until you do a little investigative research and connect the dots with such facts as the IRS having already stockpiled some five million rounds of ammunition and its posting advertisements for hiring people experienced, and/or willing to be trained, in the handling of firearms. Move over FBI, there is a new federal agency being added to the government gestapo to harass and intimidate the American people. The answer? Overcome every false flag October surprise, show up in overwhelming numbers on November 8, and make sure ballots avert bullets. [more...]

Joe Biden to Host Anti-Conservative Summit

By Cheryl Chumley

Biden said he's going to host a summit at the White House next month to address and put a stop to hate-fueled violence in the United States. Call this the Democrats' next step toward silencing conservatives in America. Mark these words: Biden's "United We Stand Summit" isn't aimed so much at countering acts of violence in America as it is about pinging, zinging and ultimately, silencing the types of speech the "United We Stand Summit" participants will blame as fueling the acts of violence. [more...] Get Cheryl's Bestselling Book: LOCKDOWN: The Socialist Plan to Take Away Your Freedom

Inflation Reduction Act Nightmare Targets Life-Savings Meds

By Sally Pipes

The IRA is devoting $64 billion to extending the more generous subsidies for Obamacare coverage put in place as part of the March 2021 American Rescue Plan Act. Then there are the prescription drug pricing reforms the IRA will soon impose. Starting in 2026, the government will be allowed to "negotiate" the price Medicare pays for 10 medicines. It can dictate the price Medicare pays for 15 in 2027 and 2028 and then 20 in 2029. Drugs that could be ensnared by the program include small-molecule drugs that have been on the market for nine years without generic competition and biologics that have been available for 13 years without biosimilar competition. This kind of misguided price-control scheme has been shown to chill innovation and reduce drug access elsewhere in the world. [more...]

Europe's Self Inflicted Oil Crisis and the Saudis' Last Laugh with U.S.

By Kenneth Rapoza, China Expert/Industry Analyst for the Coalition for a Prosperous America

Oil producers are in the pole position. Europe increasingly looks like a 120-pound weakling that can't keep the lights on. And the U.S., producing a steady stream of oil and gas these days and getting some inflation relief at the gas station, may have sold Raytheon missiles for oil. Europe is currently known for two things at the moment: farmer protests and shooting itself in the foot to create its home-grown energy crisis. Saudi Arabia and Russia are laughing all the way to the bank, as it were.  [more...]

Biden Lied, Americans Died

By Daniel Greenfield

While Biden's panicked evacuation from Afghanistan was going on, it had failed so badly that staffers from his own wife's office were contacting private rescue groups to get people out. This is one of the many damning revelations in the report by Rep. McCaul for the Republican minority on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The interim report, "A Strategic Failure" was conducted despite every possible effort by the White House and House Democrats to stop it, including blocking information requests and keeping briefings unnecessarily classified. With the revelations that the State Department is actively refusing to cooperate with the Special Inspector General on Afghanistan Reconstruction, this report is more urgent than ever. [more...]
