Identifying as Christian Could Get You Fired, Jailed or Fined

By Martin Mawyer, President of Christian Action Network

We see it regularly now in the news: A Christian baker, photographer, realtor, or parent is hauled into court for something they said, did or refused to do. Historically, the label "Christian" is a badge of assurance that their businesses are moral, honest, trustworthy, and above board. It's a shorthand way of saying the highest standards can and should be expected. But using that particular word for either personal or business reasons can also put you at risk and may get you fired, jailed, or fined, depending on what they say and do. I should know, having founded Christian Action Network and serving as its president for 33 years. I am personally aware that these attacks go beyond smear campaigns or name-calling. I'm talking about underhanded schemes to drive Christian companies out of business or, at a minimum, force them to publicly abandon their Christian principles. [more...]

January 6 is Not the Drop-Dead Election Day Deal Democrats Think

By Cheryl Chumley

Democrats believe that a subpoena to Donald Trump, on the tail of ten public January 6 committee hearings, will be the final, dramatic moment voters around the United States who will say, 'hey, you’re right, Dems, we do hate 'The Donald' and we’re going to vote against all Republicans, especially America First Republicans,' this coming November. But nobody cares about January 6. Not really. "Inflation is busting bank accounts across America. Cash-strapped voters vent frustrations," Fox News reported in a recent headline. That's what's occupying the minds of most Americans - inflation and the economy. [more...] Get Cheryl's bestselling book: LOCKDOWN: The Socialist Plan to Take Away Your Freedom

China's Attempt to Warp the 2022 Midterm Election

By Scott Powell

Welcome to the new dysfunctional norm in America.

Arrested on October 4, Eugene Yu, the founder and CEO of election software company, Konnech, Inc., is charged with embezzling funds and transferring U.S. election data to China - betraying Los Angeles, the largest metropolitan area in America. But this is just the tip of the iceberg of CCP subversion efforts to destroy the United States. The Konnech scandal was largely censored. But in Australia and Canada, where Konnech subsidiaries were involved in electoral roll data, voter I.D. confirmation, and the scrutiny of provisional and postal votes, crazy things have happened. Both countries experienced election irregularities and veered to the left politically. Governing authorities that gained power in Australia and Canada during the period that Konnech was involved in managing elections ended up embracing communist-type policies, such as forcing citizens into quarantine camps and cutting off people's access to their bank accounts. Media Spin on Gun Control Doesn’t Match Voters’ Opinions

By John Lott

Red flag laws are the top priority of Democrats and gun control advocates. Polls show that Americans overwhelmingly support these measures – by margins ranging between 2-1 and 3-1. Congress recently passed legislation providing funding for states that adopted these laws. But the polling doesn’t really gauge whether Americans understand how these laws operate. The surveys generally just ask people if they support laws that “allow guns to be temporarily confiscated by a judge from people considered by a judge to be a danger to themselves or others." Respondents might reasonably assume that a normal legal process is being followed, whereby complaints are made and witnesses are cross-examined. With a law that almost always involves fears of suicide, they might presuppose that mental health experts are involved in the process. [more...]

A More Diverse America Turns Against Racial Preferences

By John M. Ellis

California voters backed the 1996 ban by a 9-point margin... by 2020 the gap had widened to 14 points.

The Supreme Court will soon hear arguments about the use of racial preferences in college admissions. On this score, a curious divergence in opinion has arisen in recent years. While the public has moved sharply in one direction, academia has raced in the exact opposite. For instance, in 1996 Californians voted by a 9-point margin to approve Proposition 209, a constitutional amendment to ban the use of racial preferences in public employment and college admissions. As the state's electorate moved to the left in the subsequent years, it was widely assumed that support for the ban had evaporated. [more...]

Hurricane Ian Aftermath and Climate Hysteria

In a powerful metaphorical commentary, Judd Dunning updates the theologian C.S. Lewis’s The Screwtape Letters. In his a two-part series of letters, Dunning updates Lewis’s letters to the present featuring a new senior demon and his nephew as he teaches him the proper use of 1) the threat of cultural Marxism under Biden’s attack on America and 2) the climate hysteria to weaponize and remove America's freedom as they intentionally deconstruct the economy – and beat the irrational war drums with Ukraine.
