The Real Thanksgiving Story Hidden in History - and the
Inspiration it Still Gives America
By Judd Dunning, Talk Show Host, Bestselling Author
The people we call Pilgrims were religious
dissidents in an era when the wrong convictions could cost you your job, your
land, your freedom, or your life. We often talk about the Mayflower
voyage as "hard." That’s putting it mildly. The reality is that it
was an almost unthinkable ordeal. By the winter of 1621, only 52 of
the 102 Mayflower passengers were still alive. Of them, only four adult women
survived to prepare the food for the harvest feast later that year. Families
had been gutted. Children had buried parents. The living were so afraid of
looking weak that they buried their dead at night so nearby tribes wouldn’t see
how many were gone. From any normal historical standpoint, this little colony
should have disappeared. Yet, from that wreckage came a functioning settlement,
a 50-year peace treaty, and a tradition of national gratitude that two later
presidents would enshrine in the middle of our darkest hours. That, not the
Hallmark imagery, is the miracle of Thanksgiving. [more...]
Free Propaganda for Our Enemies, Domestic and Abroad
By Greg Rabidoux, Award-Winning Filmmaker, Author & Cultural Commentator
Who thought it was a good idea to have six Democrats post a
video on social media which urged all those now serving in the military to
disobey any order which was "illegal?" U.S. House of Representatives
Democrat members Jason Crow (CO), Chrissy Houlihan (PA), Chris Deluzio (PA),
Maggie Goodlander (NH) and U.S. Senators Elissa Slotkin (MI), and Mark Kelly
(AZ), all former military or CIA, thought now would be the perfect time to
splash an incendiary video all over social media. In the video, they all stated
how it was every soldier's duty to refuse to follow any illegal order from
their superiors, including, of course, the Commander in Chief. What were these
orders? Turns out that none of them could name a single illegal order. They
should know that 18 United States Code of Law Section 2387 makes it a
"federal crime to advise, urge, or attempt to create insubordination,
disloyalty, mutiny or refusal of duty among members of the U.S. Military with
the intent to interfere with American operations." [more...]
What Killed Housing's Long Golden Age?
By Todd Sheets, Author of 2008: What Really Happened
Recently, all kinds of ideas have been floated to help make
housing more affordable. Bill Pulte, director of the Federal Housing Finance
Agency, has raised the idea of creating 50-year loans to help reduce mortgage
payments. Others have proposed portable mortgages that would move with the
borrower. Recent articles have also mentioned homebuilders offering loans with "teaser"
interest rates that help keep initial mortgage payments down. Whatever merits
some of these various ideas may have, they all operate from the premise that
buying today will deliver the type of investment benefits homeownership has
long been known for. But is this a good assumption? Or do today's affordability
problems indicate that home prices are currently stretched and unlikely to
produce investment benefits similar to the past? [more...]
Southern Poverty Law Center Attacks Freedom Center for Reporting
on Mamdani
By Daniel Greenfield, CEO of the David Horowitz Freedom Center
Exposing Mamdani is "racist misinformation" according to the SPLC.
The Southern Poverty Law Center took a victory lap after the
death of David Horowitz, celebrating the passing of a man whom the leftist
group shamelessly smeared as a "longtime anti-Muslim hate figure" and
"a force in organized bigotry" and then attacked "mentees of his
like Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA and Stephen Miller" for publicly
honoring his memory. David is dead, but the SPLC isn't done coming after us.
Its recent 'intelligence' report tried to pressure funds to cut off donations
to us and to Turning Point USA. It listed us in its report on 'Decoding the
Plan to Undo Democracy' and now our reporting on Mamdani triggered the latest
attack from the hate group that claims to track 'hate groups.' [more...]
Four Generic Drug Makers Tell Senate Committee the Government
Holds Keys to Reshoring Critical Drugs
By Kenneth Rapoza, Reporter/Columnist for Coalition for a Prosperous America
The Senate Special Committee on Aging was back at it last
week discussing the woeful predicament of the domestic generic drug industry
and its import-facing supply chain. This time, the Committee heard from four
generic drug makers opposed to advocacy groups and Washington think tanks. The
fact that the Committee held a hearing on a similar topic only five weeks prior
may explain why only two Republicans showed up in the question-and-answer
period. Chairman Rick Scott (R-FL) and Ranking Member Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)
showed once again that they two stand united on this issue, with both in favor
of reshoring generic drug manufacturing. It is often hard to decipher where the
two differ, suggesting rare bipartisan unity on the goal of producing more
essential drugs in the U.S. [more...]
Arctic Frost's Spying on Members of Congress is a Constitutional
Crisis
By Louie Gohmert, Fmr. Texas Congressman
No one is talking about the importance of the Congressional privilege.
Many were shocked to find out that Jack 'Frost' Smith had
subpoenaed the cell phone records of many Republicans, including Senators,
during the 'Arctic Frost' investigation into President Trump for a matter of
days. Now we have learned that the Biden administration-appointed 'Special
Counsel' also requested cell phone records, including mine, for nearly THREE
MONTHS from November 3, 2020 to January 8, 2021. To understand the
Constitutional crisis that this has created, one must first understand that the
subpoena was issued as a "Grand Jury Subpoena." Although we were not
in the room when the pitch was made to the grand jury, here is what is fairly
obvious: Jack Smith and his cronies provided information to a group of
Washington, D.C. citizens, 95% of whom (or maybe all of whom) voted for someone
other than President Trump, indicating that they believed there was a grand
conspiracy for an insurrection to destroy the proper election of the
'electorally pure' Joe Biden. To the minds of these jurors, Trump and all his
henchmen must be stopped. [more...]
Mamdani Says He's a 'Democratic Socialist,' Not a Commie, But
What's the Difference?
By Robert Spencer, Author of Holy Hell: Islam's Abuse of Women and the Infidels Who Enable It
When many Democrats on Friday voted in favor of
a resolution condemning socialism, NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani was on his
way to what turned out to be a surprisingly cordial meeting with President
Donald Trump. Asked about the resolution, Mamdani responded: "I have to be
honest with you, I focus very little on resolutions, frankly. I think the focus
is on the work at hand. I can tell you I am someone who is a democratic
socialist. I’ve been very open about that. I know there might be differences
about ideology, but the place of agreement is the work that needs to be done to
make New York City affordable. That’s what I look forward to." Mamdani's
answer, which he has repeated on other occasions as well, actually
raised more questions than it answered. [more...]
