What we have lost - and our need for recovery

The Left has been at war with American culture and our shared history for decades. The 1619 Project, the demonization of the American Founding and the portrayal of America as a systemically racist country and people is part of that war. We have seen this with the attacks on President Trump on his Executive Order to “Make Federal Buildings Beautiful” or his attempts to celebrate American history to be an authoritarian impulse and his love for “fascist” architecture. Further, just look at the latest hysteria over Trump's comments about the Smithsonian Institution: "We are not going to allow this to happen, and I have instructed my attorneys to go through the museums and start the exact same process that has been done with colleges and universities where tremendous progress has been made." He played meet-and-greet with various political notables and, after a pressure campaign by the Muslim Brotherhood, dismantled the sanctions on Syria. Muslims in their late teens and early twenties have recently been arrested in Michigan, New Jersey, and Washington state. They all seem to have been involved in plotting jihad massacres for the Islamic State: the Michigan jihadis wanted to hit gay bars in Detroit, and the Seattle and New Jersey jihadis were formulating plans for jihad massacres at Jewish targets. Such jihad plots are certain to become increasingly common in the U.S., given mass Muslim migration with the unshakeable assumption that every Muslim who enters the country is a "moderate."
