Comcast’s Steady Expansion Reaps High Returns

Comcast has been making steady moves to expand beyond its cable business. The release of their quarterly report for the 3rd quarter of 2017 seems to show that their work has paid off. The media firm, that is now worth $170 billion, has been entering new sectors through the acquisitions of NBC Universal and a recently launched wireless phone service. Comcast shares have risen significantly and have left the shares of Verizon Wireless and AT&T behind, but more importantly it has pulled away from Walt Disney in market vales this year. [more...]

Diversity is Our Terror

New York City is an incredibly diverse place. Here, an Uzbek Muslim immigrant in on a visa diversity lottery can run over Argentinian tourists, an Egyptian-Palestinian Muslim can shoot a Danish musician on the observation deck of the Empire State Building, Saudi Muslims can fly planes into the World Trade Center killing people from 77 countries, an Afghan Muslim can plant pressure cooker bombs in Chelsea, a Lebanese Muslim can open fire on a van of Jewish students and a Pakistani-Kuwaiti and Iraqi Muslim can bomb the World Trade Center. Western Elites Take the Knee

President Trump once again has enraged the left by suggesting, with colorful language no less, that NFL players who kneel during the national anthem should be fired by their teams. Progressives criticized Trump’s lack of presidential decorum, racial insensitivity, and disrespect of the players’ First Amendment rights—and the head of the NFL defended the players and rebuked the President for his tweet demanding the players be fired. At the same time, declining attendance at NFL stadiums and lower ratings for televised games suggest that many Americans are unhappy with privileged athletes disrespecting the country’s flag. The Left’s Misleading Claim of Racism in Law Enforcement

In August, the FBI Counterterrorism Division produced a report entitled “Black Identity Extremists (BIE) Likely Motivated to Target Law Enforcement Officers.” The report states that Black Identity Extremists are killing law enforcement officers and warns there is a high likelihood they will continue to do so. The left takes issue with the report and continues to mislead the public. One would think Americans, regardless of race, color, creed or political persuasion would stand forcefully against the unlawful killing of anyone, particularly the assassination of law enforcement officers. However, the usual suspects like The Washington Post, ACLU and Black Lives Matter don’t address that issue because it’s contained in a report that doesn’t reflect the liberal narrative that U.S. law enforcement is infected by systemic racism. They are quick to renounce violence by extremists on the right but they don’t want you to know about the extremists on the left.
