On this day, I am acutely aware of how strong the positions of
people on opposite sides of this historic event are. Both believe they are
right and the other side is wrong. When it comes to the really big truths in
life, I’ve never been a fan of bet-hedging or the notion that "The truth
is somewhere in the middle." There are facts and there are what you think
and feel about them. Some often confuse the two. But with so much
outright propaganda in politics today, how does one determine the facts? [more...]
Make More Profit with Apple Stock During the
Next Market Correction
By Crista Huff
The next market correction might not be far off, but there's no
need to fear it. In fact, it's how I made
a lot of money on AAPL stock last year. If you own a variety of famous stocks –
Apple stock, Bristol-Myers Squibb stock, Blackstone Group, etc. – you’re going
to grow your net worth over the long term, despite those pesky stock market
corrections. But instead of grimacing and watching your invested capital fall
during the next stock market correction, would you rather know of a way to
profit during that correction? [more...]
What if China and Iran Develop Lethal AI Military
Technology but the United States Does Not?
Artificial intelligence expert Robert
Marks tackles the
contentious subject of military drones in his just-published book, The Case for Killer Robots: Why
America's Military Needs to Continue Development of Lethal AI. Many
sources have called for these lethal AI weapons to be banned. What if ambitious
nations such as China and Iran develop lethal AI military technology, but the
United States does not? Nations that wish to maintain independence must remain
competitive in military AI. In his new book, Marks investigates the potential
military use of lethal AI and examines the practical and ethical challenges. [more...]
Why Millennials Favor Socialism
On my new podcast: Harvard
professor figures it out... sort of. Trump and the military industrial complex.
Republicans will take trump out if he takes it on. Incompetent government in
Puerto Rico again. Trump going to Davos. Worst CEO ever is writing a book.
Democrats Implement "The Big Reverse"
By James Hirsen
"The Big Lie" is a form of propaganda that has been
used over time by manipulative figures in and out of government, politics, and
institutions. It has generally been adopted and applied with the specific
intent to surreptitiously alter the beliefs of large groups of people. If the
lie is big enough, people will oftentimes come to the conclusion that it is
true, particularly if it is repeated over and over again. "The Big Lie"
is so extraordinary that it is able to pass through psychological defenses that
exist within us. Our minds are temporarily short-circuited and ultimately
manipulated to a sufficient degree that allows the lie to emerge as "truth."
Various members of the Democratic Party have either wittingly or unwittingly
come upon a variant of "The Big Lie," which they have used in their "resistance"
efforts against President Donald Trump, his administration, his personal
relationships, and his family. I have given this variant of "The Big Lie"
the label of "The Big Reverse." [more...]
The Year of the Demock Rat
By Lowell Ponte
In our calendar, 2020 is a Leap Year with a February 29th,
and a presidential election year that might also be a year of the Demock
Rat if President Trump fails to win reelection. The Chinese animal year under
which you are born is supposed to shape your personality, luck, and love life.
In China, people born in a Year of the Rat are thought of not as vermin, but as
clever and versatile. We may not believe in Chinese astrology - but one human
in four on our planet to some degree does. It's worth understanding, therefore,
as a way to know what they might be thinking. [more...]
