Jewish Roots in the Story of America
By Wilfred McClay, Author of Jewish Roots of American Liberty
In recent months, the media has been consumed by certain
individuals calling into question the Hebraic roots of both Christianity and
America. This acute, ahistorical threat, as well as the rise in militant
secularism over the past few decades, call for a clear and convincing
presentation of how the Hebrew Bible, and Jewish ideas, have indelibly shaped
the American story. The newly-released book, Jewish Roots of American Liberty,
by Bradley Prize-winning Hillsdale College historian Wilfred McClay illustrates how the free
institutions that we value so much in today's America - including Christianity
itself - are securely grounded in Jewish ideas, images and ethics. The timing
of the release of this book couldn't be more consequential. [more...]
7-Eleven Fired Her for Saving Her Own Life
By John Lott, Worldwide Expert on Guns & Crime
Last week, 7-Eleven fired a 25-year-old employee after she used
her gun to save her own life. Private companies have every right to set rules
for employee behavior, but many corporate policies that require workers to
remain passive and comply with criminals' demands rest on a deeply mistaken
view of crime data. "I had to choose
between my job and my life," said Stephanie Dilyard. "And I will
always choose my life because people depend on me. My kids need me here." Unfortunately,
while some in the media and many businesses may concede that passive behavior
by store clerks might encourage more crime, they believe that passive behavior
is still the safest course of action. In Stephanie Dilyard's case,
however, passive behavior likely would have gotten her killed. [more...]
Giving Thanks for American Exceptionalism
By Todd Sheets, Author of 2008: What Really Happened
The far left's attack on our founding ideals begs
the questions: why would we recreate a country that, in spite of its at times
tragic flaws, has helped lift far more people out of poverty and done more to
protect freedoms both at home and internationally than perhaps any other in
history? And why wouldn't we, as Martin Luther King suggested in his "I
Have a Dream" speech, focus instead on simply extending our founding
values to all of our citizens? And why would we follow the far left in trying
to destroy such a country only to then rebuild it in the image of others that,
whatever their own merits, have never come anywhere near helping as many as we
have? Let's just continue to give thanks for America, the greatest
country on earth. [more...]
Model Afghan Refugee Accused of Sexually Assaulting Woman Who
Resettled Him Freed After 'Counseling'
By Daniel Greenfield, CEO of the David Horowitz Freedom Center
"Ready to help with comprehensive and specific training about American legal and social expectations"
As soon as Haji Matiullah Matie arrived in the U.S., he became
the poster boy for Afghan refugees. The New York Times wrote up Matie's
story and so did many other media outlets. By the time he was finally resettled
from Fort Pickett, Virginia, to Wausau, Wisconsin, he was famous. When he flew
out to his new home in the small Wisconsin city, the mayor was there to meet
him at the airport. The Afghan refugee's social media accounts were filled with
photos taken with local community leaders. Each visit generated new stories
holding Matie up as evidence that Americans should welcome Afghan refugees. And
then it all fell apart as Matie was arrested for sexual assault against a
person who had been helping him adjust to his new life in the snows of the
Badger State.
The Week the Silver Suppression Broke
By Kerry Lutz, Author of The Armstrong Economic Code
How Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sparked a Historic Melt-Up
Every asset class has a point where history catches up to it. For
silver, that moment arrived between Black Friday (Nov 28, 2025) and Cyber
Monday (Dec 1, 2025) - a narrow, illiquid, holiday-thinned window when the
entire 60-year architecture of price suppression finally cracked. Not a rally. Not
a squeeze. A mechanical failure. [more...]
Pro-Hamas Agitators Harass Black Friday Shoppers at Zara Store
in Manhattan
By Robert Spencer, Author of Holy Hell: Islam's Abuse of Women and the Infidels Who Enable It
Black Friday pro Palestine protesters storm
through ZARA store in Manhattan, police pushed the crowd away. If this sort of
thing is happening now, just imagine how life in Manhattan will be once Zohran
Mamdani takes office. [more...]
The Long-Term Consequences of Moral Relativism
By James Hirsen, NY Times Bestselling Author, International Business Attorney, News Analyst & Cultural Commentator
Moral relativism is a philosophical construct in which there are
no objective moral truths. There are only subjective truths that are shaped by
a society's hierarchy of authority, cultural norms, and myriad feelings on the
part of its individual members. In this article, I will attempt to give readers
some background knowledge about: moral relativism; the manner in which the
construct has in a major way supplanted our nation's long-standing moral
framework; and the danger that moral relativism continues to pose for our
society should we fail to reverse course. [more...]
