John M. Ellis, a professor at the University of California at Santa Cruz, recounted 50 years of frustration in his 2020 book, "The Breakdown of Higher Education: How It Happened, the Damage It Does, and What Can Be Done." Ellis declared that "campuses are now miserable caricatures of what they once were" and called for repression as the answer. He demanded "the removal of radical activists who politicize classrooms" and urged state legislatures to "investigate and then cancel funding for departments that are found to be hopelessly corrupted." When colleges and universities have so willfully ignored the purposes for which their independence was granted and have corrupted themselves beyond their ability to self-repair, only outside intervention can restore them to the purpose for which they were created. Voters Overwhelmingly Want Their Beef Labeled to Show What Country it Came From

A new poll of registered voters—conducted by Morning Consult on behalf of the Coalition for a Prosperous America (CPA)—shows that 90 percent of voters are concerned about beef imports deceptively labeled as 'Product of USA.' In response, 86 percent of voters support legislation currently under consideration in Congress that would require mandatory country-of-origin labeling for all beef products sold in the United States. "This is a no-brainer," said CPA Chair Zach Mottl. "Americans deserve to know where their beef is raised and harvested. It’s astounding that, at present, importers can put a 'Product of U.S.A.' label on beef that’s an exclusively foreign product. China's Breach of International Human Rights Laws

For months now, we have all heard that reports would prove to be the most damning assessment yet on China’s version of the war on terrorism in Xinjiang. The State Department says China is committing genocide against these people. Biden signed the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act into law this summer as part of the official response to that. The United Nations – which usually walks on eggshells around China – called Xinjiang an international human rights crime. Given the UN's general softness on China, their report is the most damning of all reports yet on China's actions in that province. China worked hard to prevent the UN report from being published. Credit Card Companies Join Democrats' Gun Control Scheme

Democrats aim to create a comprehensive national list of gun owners. In a major victory for gun control advocates, American Express, Mastercard, and Visa agreed to help the government track firearm sales. Federal law explicitly prohibits the creation of a federal firearm registry, and it requires that the National Instant Criminal Background Check System erase background check information within 24 hours of completion and that it not keep a database. Yet in 2016, the Government Accountability Office called out the Obama administration for holding on to the data, and the Biden administration continues to compile digital records. [more...]

Trump Docs Could Be Used Against FBI in 2023

My top predictions about the Mar-a-Lago documents:

• U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon's decision to grant the Trump team's special master request will be sustained, after the DOJ appeal.
• There won't be enough incriminating documents to formally indict Trump in a grand-jury setting.
• The Republicans will claim the majority in the House and Senate chambers for the upcoming midterm elections (Nov. 8).
• Starting as early as January 2023, House GOP investigators will put the FBI and DOJ under further scrutiny, in terms of explaining or justifying the FBI's Aug. 8 raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort, along with the House hearings on the Jan. 6, 2021 unrest at the Capitol.

The Mar-a-Lago documents will be Exhibits A, B, and C in the case against the FBI. Regarding the document dispute, Morris believes Trump's legal team has a strong case of historical precedent on their side - due to the wide-ranging scope of the Presidential Records Act. [more...]

Constitution Day is the Most Important but Forgotten Holiday this Year

Constitution Day, which falls on September 17, is the national observance holiday that most Americans have never heard of. Yet this year, 2022, it may well be our most important holiday. For the Constitution is threatened more now than at any time since seven southern states seceded from Union and Civil War broke out on April 12, 1861. Still, it comes as a shock to see the Biden administration politically weaponizing the Justice Department and FBI and violating peoples’ Constitutional rights - even raiding President Trump’s private residence at Mar-a-:ago. Furthermore, many high-ranking U.S. government officials - most appointed during the Biden administration and some still around since the Obama administration - have walked away from their oaths of office to uphold and protect the Constitution.
