Selective Stats Leave Suspicious Fingerprints All Over the Crime Debate

As gun violence has spiked across the country, Republicans have pointed to the steady stream of shootings in Democratic-controlled cities such as Chicago, Detroit, and St. Louis to argue that strict gun laws are not the main driver of mayhem. In response, Democrats and their supporters have tried to turn the tables on the GOP by noting that gun violence is highest in Republican states: "Gun Violence Worse in Red States. It's Not Even Close," a headline in Politico proclaimed; "Red States Have Higher Gun Death Rates Than Blue States," Forbes reported. It's Time to Prosecute Hunter and Impeach Joe Biden

With Hunter Biden agreeing to plead guilty to misdemeanor tax offenses (and is expected to reach an agreement with prosecutors on the felony charge of illegally possessing a firearm as a drug user), does this deal end a long-running Justice Department investigation? Christopher Clark, a lawyer for the younger Biden, said it was his understanding the five-year investigation had now been resolved. But what about the Hunter Biden laptop saga - one of the lowest points in America's moral and legal history? Add to this Joe’s public failure of a presidency. With so much of the Biden family dirty laundry out on the international clothesline to dry, no doubt remains for those choosing awareness. Biden is a failed, broken, greedy, corrupt, power-hungry, hedonistic father and a highly compromised president who should have been impeached by now.

The FBI obviously needs a lot of housecleaning, but the key point to remember is that the ground zero of the weaponization has always been in the Department of Justice where political appointees have profoundly corrupted the system. The Washington Post found that senior Justice Department and FBI officials rejected or rebuffed early proposals to investigate actions taken by President Trump and his close allies leading up to the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol. As a result, more than a year passed before federal prosecutors and FBI agents embarked on a formal investigation into nonviolent efforts within Trump's orbit to steal the 2020 election. If someone were to propose a fundamental alteration of sacred writings, it would be extremely disturbing and highly offensive to members of religious congregations. As it turns out, someone has done just that - proposed a fundamental alteration of the Holy Scriptures. Yuval Noah Harari, a contributor and advisor to the World Economic Forum, is pushing a new global bible, one that would purportedly be AI-generated. When Harari was being interviewed by journalist Pedro Pinto in Lisbon, Portugal, he touted AI as different from all other technologies, because, in his words, it is "the first technology ever that can create new ideas." Merck Fighting for Rights, Market-based Health Care

Pharmaceutical giant Merck announced last week that it is taking the federal government to court over the Inflation Reduction Act's drug pricing reforms. The lawsuit alleges that the law's Medicare price negotiation program violates some of the most fundamental rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.
