The Michigan Republican Party is Broke and Woefully Unprepared for 2024

By Perry Johnson, Former Presidential Candidate

I believe in a united Republican Party, but at a certain point we have to be prepared to recognize current party leadership is doing more harm than good as they face hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of outstanding debts while also armed with astoundingly few fundraising dollars to help us take back the White House and Michigan seats next year. It is especially alarming that while fundraising efforts remain at what must be a historic all time low, party leadership felt it necessary to spend one third of that amount to bring in an actor as guest speaker during September's Mackinac conference - a debt which remains outstanding. The party is in financial shambles due to its own negligence and dereliction of duty. When a promise to delegates and voters is so thoroughly and obviously broken, it is time to forge a new path ahead and elect new leaders to bring us to victory. [more...]

Alex Jones' 'X' Reinstatement a Win for Free Speech

By Cheryl Chumley

In America, it's offensive speech that gets the most protection.

Seventy percent of X users said Infowars host Alex Jones should see his social media account restored... and BOOM!, like that, he’s back; Elon Musk reactivated his platform. This is a major win for free speech. In America, it’s not unlawful to be a conspiracy theorist. Nor should it be. And handing a select few in politics or in the Big Tech offices filled with leftists who do government's bidding the right to determine what's conspiracy versus what's not - well, just look back on the coronavirus years to see where that leads. All those with dissenting views are silenced. [more...]

A Massacre of History in Colorado

By Bruce Gilley, Author of The Case For Colonialism

Every school child in Colorado is taught about the Sand Creek Massacre of 1864. On a wintry day in November of that year, an untrained and undisciplined territorial militia attacked an Indian camp near the eastern border of the territory leaving 150 to 200 dead. The tragedy has long been the subject of roiling debate about who or what was to blame. When the History Colorado Center opened a new exhibit on the event in 2012, visitors were offered competing perspectives of Indian, soldier, and settler. [more...]

The Opening Salvo of "Calming" Qur'anic Jew-Hatred

By Andrew Bostom, Author of The Legacy of Islamic Antisemitism

Apparently daily, repetitive pious Muslim indoctrination in "sacralized" Jew-hatred may also "reduce stress" for hospitalized Muslims. This past week (published 12/7/23), nonpareil Iranian academics informed us in a peer reviewed, pooled analysis of existing "data," that Qur'an recitation, "can reduce stress levels, and bolster overall mental well-being." The Quran's brief introductory chapter ("sura") of 7 very short verses, known as the "fatiha" ("opening"), was singled out for its alleged capacity to reduce stress among hospitalized patients admitted to the intensive care unit. Congress Caves (Temporarily) on FISA Section 702

By Colonel (Ret.) John Mills, Author of War Against the Deep State

702 needs to be ended, this hopefully will be the last extension.

Speaker of the House Johnson flip-flopped on this topic and now the language to give a short live extension to Section 702 looks like it's back in the FY 2024 National Defense Authorization Act. I've been in on several debates inside the wire on past extensions and use of Section 702. At this point in time, it is being used as justification for large data collection without a warrant. The whole program needs to be cancelled. What is happening is what I've seen before. When senior leaders in the Executive and Legislative Branches are briefed, they become intoxicated with the scope, scale, and power of this operation. Whether it's legal or not gets thrown out the window. 702 along with the 2013 Smith-Mundt Update and the Foreign Influence Task Force are targeting the American people at a breathtaking scope, scale, and velocity. Time to shut this down and have complete transparency and accountability. [more...]

House China Select Committee Has Big Recommendations for Congress In 2024

By Kenneth Rapoza, Industry Analyst from the Coalition for a Prosperous America

The new House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party finished off 2023 with a year-ending report highlighting the hearings they had this year on the China issue, centering the 52 pages on a to-do list for Congress in 2024. The Committee, led by Chairman Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin and Ranking Member Raja Krishnamoorthi of Illinois, became “must-see TV” as far as Capitol Hill hearings went this year. The bipartisan members’ year-long listen-and-learn hearings and world tour culminated in their strategy report, released on Tuesday. [more...]
