'Snow White' Gets Buried Under Avalanche of Bad Reviews
By Greg Rabidoux, Award-Winning Filmmaker, Author & Cultural Commentator
Maybe the Evil Queen knows why Disney keeps re-making animated classics with annoying and box-office bomb-worthy live action flicks.
When you cast a progressive, Trump-hating, Colombian actress (Rachel
Zegler) as the live-action Snow White, you might just be really dopey. Ms.
Zegler has not been shy about her dislike for the 1937 'Snow White' classic for
which she would not be drawing a paycheck from Disney without. And her hatred
of all things Trump and MAGA ("They should never know peace" and
"harm should befall Trump and his supporters"). Nor her love of all
things Palestinian and presumably their representative, Hamas. But Ms. Zegler,
who by the way, can truly act and sing, is not the sole reason that yet another
Disney live-action remake bombed at the box-office. [more...]
How Christian Universities Crash and Burn
By John G. West, Author of STOCKHOLM SYNDROME CHRISTIANITY: Why America's Christian Leaders Are Failing - and What We Can Do About It
Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and many other universities were
founded explicitly as Protestant Christian institutions, only to devolve over
time into something else. So, in the latter half of the nineteenth century,
Evangelical Protestants in America started again, creating a new generation of
colleges and seminaries that they hoped would avoid the mistakes of their
predecessors. But as the current controversy over Wheaton College attests,
history seems to be repeating itself... and the problem reaches far beyond
Wheaton. [more...]
Judges are Wrong to Obstruct President Trump from Deporting
Illegal Immigrants
By Scott Powell, Author of Rediscovering America
President Trump is facing an important separation of powers case
with federal judge James E. Boasberg, who is trying to block his decision and
action to deport Venezuelan immigrants, including many Tren de Aragua gang
members. In justifying his deportation position, Trump cited the 1898 the Alien
Enemies Act, a statute originally established during the Spanish-American
War. Trump’s Department of Justice can defend the right of the President
to carry out deportation actions simply based on the fact that the President,
as the country’s chief executive, has the duty to uphold his oath of office to
enforce the law, as well as to carry out a key campaign promise. [more...]
Stripping Russia off from China
By Colonel (Ret.) John Mills, Author of War Against the Deep State
Nixon/Kissinger tried to strip China off from the Soviet Union in 1972. In hindsight, I'm not sure that it worked that well; this time it may be different.
In 1972, President Nixon took his historic trip to China. Much
of the trip was “teed up” by National Security Advisor/Secretary of State
Kissinger. The strategy to strip off China from the Soviet Union was not
illogical. Both Communist states almost came to a nuclear exchange with each
other in their border clashes of the late 1960s. Did the strategy to strip off
China from the Soviet Union work in the short or long run? Maybe and no. In the
long run, we enabled the rise of the mortal Chinese threat we face today. In
the short term, maybe it played a difference. [more...]
Hamas in America
By Daniel Greenfield, Author of Domestic Enemies
It's not a protest movement; It’s an invading enemy.
Many House Democrats rallied in support of Mahmoud Khalil - an
organizer in a Columbia University terrorist movement that called for “Death to
America” and “the total eradication of Western civilization” Half the House
Democrat delegation, the party’s Senate minority leader, its former VP nominee
in 2016, and two of its top 3 presidential candidates in 2020 now support the
“rights” of this alien enemy to pursue its agendas of destroying Israel and
exterminating its Jews, and destroying its indispensable ally, America, along
with the rest of the civilized world. That’s why David Horowitz’s message is that
“Mahmoud Khalil and his followers are self-declared enemies of America and
should be treated as such.” [more...]
Does Congress Need to Impeach Judges to Make Them Behave?
By Louie Gohmert, Fmr. Texas Congressman
The Constitution offers a ‘good behavior’ remedy that Congress hasn’t used.
Certainly, judges can be impeached. We had two
cases for impeachment of federal judges while I was on the Judiciary Committee
in the House of Representatives. But shouldn’t Congress be able to subpoena a
judge to determine if conduct is outside the realm of good behavior? We have
seen federal judges in January 6 cases seemingly aspiring to the level of Judge
Roy Bean justice. Would “good behavior” be violated when a judge describes a
defendant’s conduct as “insurrection” during sentencing when that defendant had
not been charged with it and not convicted of it? There seem to be numerous
questions of judicial “good behavior” raised during the January 6 cases. Though
the Executive and Legislative Branches are constantly flexing their checks and
balances on the other, the Judiciary continues to claim that they, and they
alone, should regulate their own personnel when it comes to misconduct.
However, when the highest court in the land does not enforce its own rules of
ethics, it leaves the public wondering, “Who does?” [more...]
Concealed Carry Permit Holders Stop Active Shootings
By John Lott, Worldwide Expert on Guns & Crime
Not only do permit holders succeed in stopping active shooters
at a higher rate, but law enforcement officers face significantly
greater risks when intervening. Our research found police were nearly
six times more likely to be killed and seventeen percent more likely
to be wounded than armed civilians. Those numbers paint a fuller picture than
the FBI’s crime statistics, which fail to include many of the defensive
gun uses my organization has cataloged. [more...]
