Data reveals the obscene, lavish compensation for NY’s Long Island administrators

Should an administrator from a school district most people have never heard of make more than the President of the United States? That may be what people in the Syosset Central School District are wondering. Superintendent Carole Hankin, who retired October 31st, raked in $511,333 in compensation annually, according to SeeThroughNY.net, a transparency Web site maintained by the Empire Center. But a review of her contract reveals the fringe benefits are equally eyebrow-raising. The contract stipulated Hankin’s base pay for the 2012-13 school year to be $405,244.23 and it could never decrease. President Barack Obama, by the way, makes a base salary of $400,000 per year. What Obama and I Learned at Columbia: How to Destroy America From Within

I'm about to solve the mystery of Obama... to break "the Obama code." I'm about to tell you everything about the way Obama and the people around him really think. I'm about to rip open the true Obama plan to destroy our country. I can do this now because I was there when the plan was hatched.

How do I know all this? Because I was Barack Obama's college classmate at Columbia University (class of 1983). I was easy to recognize: the lone outspoken conservative in a class of 700 students. I knew I was in trouble when my first political science class at Columbia was "Communism 101" taught by Professor Trotsky in the Fidel Castro Building, at the corner of Marx Blvd. and Lenin Drive. I'm only half-kidding. My experiences at Columbia were not far off. Everyone needs to hear my story because what Obama and I learned at Columbia explains EXACTLY what Obama is doing to America today. Administration Buys $2 Billion of Junk Food with Food Stamps; Legislators Demand More Money for Obamacare

Since the Obama administration has expanded the food stamp program to include 47 million Americans, the U.S. government now spends over $2 billion per year on junk food, according to a recent article in the Washington Post. The irony of spending money on junk food is that cheap processed junk food usually makes people obese while also leaving them hungry, negating the entire goal of the food stamp program of helping people dealing with hunger and nutrition. As more people eat junk food that the government gives them money to buy, guess what they will need more of. You guessed it: Obamacare. [more...]

The War on Women is Brewing up Again

In a recent column in a non-conservative blog, the columnist suggested that parents warn their daughters about some of the things they can be expected or pressured to do at college when they get there. Among them, binge drinking. Sounds ok to me. No matter how hard we try to raise our kids right, peer pressure is tough to push back on. Your kids are your responsibility. This may be your daughter’s first time away from home. Maybe she hasn’t been in the big city or doesn’t understand what a real predator is. You would think parents that care like this, that had the guts to have these frank conversations with their kids, would be hailed as heroes... but no, not by one columnist. Emily Yoffe’s Slate article about binge drinking and sexual assault came under attack by the left-wing male hating group at feministing.com. [more...]

The Panic Inside the Democratic Party over Obamacare

On this week's POLITICAL INSIDERS, the widespread and growing panic inside the Democratic Party over Obamacare is explained. So is the President's "apology." The looming Iran Nuclear Deal and Secretary Kerry's desperation for a "legacy" is also explored. To see the shows, go to these links: Part I, Part II, Monday on the Dot Com.

How Obamacare Rips Off the 'Young Healthies'

When Obamacare is under attack, its defenders retreat to several well-worn claims. Among them is a provision that compels insurance companies to allow parents to keep their "children" ages of 21 to 26 on their family policies. Yet this part of the Affordable Care Act was not engineered in response to any noticeable interest group. Instead, political considerations are responsible for the provision, which is an unnecessary and a deceptive rip-off of the "young healthies." Obamacare's financing won't work unless "young healthies" (or their parents) pay through the nose for coverage under parental plans or via the individual mandate. The 18-26 age group is the lowest user of care, the least costly to cover and the most profitable of all health-insurance coverage. Yet the group faces extraordinarily high Obamacare rates. Obamacare Wreaking Havoc

Obamacare has unleashed a new malady that I call "Obamacare stress," triggering high levels of cortisol and other stress chemicals that are raising widespread anxiety, fear, and anger. This new health hazard is raising America's blood pressure, increasing the risk of heart attacks for millions, and sowing the stress seeds that can cause future cancers. If Obamacare were an environmental chemical that produced such toxic effects, President Obama's bureaucrats would rightly ban it. Check out Lowell's new book, "The Great Withdrawal." [more...]

Right-to-Work States Beware

Right-to-Work states need to take heed of several recent events, which are prime indicators of big labor's intent to revitalize its sagging membership roles and the administration's intent to support them. The most recent event was Terry McAuliffe's victory over Ken Cuccinelli in last week's Virginia Governor race, where the unions poured millions of dollars to support McAuliffe's campaign, led by the SEIU's approximately $540,000, because McAuliffe has "hinted" he would not stand in the way of Right-to-Work (RTW) being overturned in Virginia.  This is just the tip of the iceberg. Hollywood Bundlers Line Up for Hillary

Hollywood is all abuzz about the upcoming 2016 presidential primary season, and the industry has some strategic plans to make certain that things play out a lot differently than they did in 2008. In that presidential election cycle, the entertainment community found itself deeply divided between Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Back then David Geffen, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and Steven Spielberg, the three principals of DreamWorks who also happen to be Hollywood’s lead bundlers for Democratic candidates and causes, found themselves at odds with one another. Geffen and Katzenberg lined up behind candidate Obama. However, Spielberg refrained from choosing sides and instead forked over money to both Democratic candidates.

It was Geffen, though, who presented an early challenge for the Hillary Clinton campaign by speaking publicly of his misgivings concerning the Clintons. Despite having donated millions of dollars to Bill Clinton’s 1992 and 1996 presidential campaigns, Geffen voiced his opinions aloud in a 2007 interview with Maureen Dowd of the New York Times. Conservatives are Fighting Obamacare the Wrong Way

I cannot remember a time when rightwing pundits were more viciously bashing the political left and its leader. In print, TV and radio, the president is being openly spoken of as a liar, a wannabe dictator, a representative of 'creeping socialism,' someone who is secretly seeking to destroy America as we know it, and so forth. What does this accomplish? At first glance, depicting the opposition this way seems to strengthen the right. Alternatively, the attacks may not matter at all; conservatives already oppose Obama anyway, and liberals ignore whatever they say.  Another counterintuitive possibility is that these attacks on the left actually help liberals and their objectives. Federal Register: Feds Want Free School Lunches Regardless of Student Need

The federal government is looking to offer another freebie and remove even more responsibility from parents with a proposed rule to make school lunches free, regardless of need. The proposed rule is the latest development in First Lady Michelle Obama's school lunch overhaul, which imposed one-size-fits-all "healthy" regulations on school districts across America beginning in 2010. Obamacare Was Designed to Fail

Obamacare was designed to fail, manipulated by the greed of government officials and big business to usher in the single-payer system. The Affordable Healthcare Act was purposely created to be rejected by the masses. With an already agitated and confused society, the public is now longing to embrace any healthcare structure that appears to be simple, fair, and adequate. I now introduce to you the Single-Payer Healthcare System. In this system, the government (taxpayers) pays for all healthcare costs as a single public body from a single fund. Our government has the authority to contract "private" organizations and even own and employ their own healthcare resources and personnel. This signifies that the entire American healthcare system will be owned and operated by our big brother, The Government. [more...]

How ObamaCare Rips Off the 'Young Healthies'

If universal coverage is the goal, inexpensive, simple catastrophic health plans will do.

Instead, political considerations are responsible for the provision, which is an unnecessary and a deceptive rip-off of the "young healthies."

The first consideration is that young adults facing chronic unemployment - thanks to government policies that have retarded economic growth - commonly return to their parents' home. Understanding that this is what the economic "new normal" looks like, the Obama administration sought to avoid a potential political storm by providing a benefit normally connected to holding a job for one of its most reliable support groups.

Second, government's actuaries are well aware that this much-touted benefit basically costs nothing. Actuarial and other research suggests that the average male sees a physician six times between the ages of 21 and 35. The parental coverage provision seemed like a "freebie" for the administration's universal coverage sales pitch.

Third, Obamacare's financing won't work unless "young healthies" (or their parents) pay through the nose for coverage under parental plans or via the individual mandate. The 18-26 age group is the lowest user of care, the least costly to cover and the most profitable of all health-insurance coverage. Yet the group faces extraordinarily high Obamacare rates. Social Security: Like Walking Up a Down Escalator

Government Cost-of-Living (COLA) Increase is an "inflation deception," say Experts in New Book

Are you aware that President Obama is Shortchanging Americans on Social Security? Social Security benefits for nearly 58 million people will increase by only 1.5 percent next year, says the Associated Press. "The increase is among the smallest since automatic adjustments were adopted in 1975. Social Security pays retired workers an average of $1,272 a month. A 1.5 percent raise comes to about $19." AP continues, "Some advocates for older Americans complain that the COLA sometimes falls short, especially for people with high medical costs."

Authors Craig R. Smith and Lowell Ponte see COLA index as pure deception. "The U.S. government is expropriating Social Security recipients by claiming inflation now runs 1.5 percent when ShadowStats.com pegs it at between 7 and 11 percent," says Craig R. Smith in his widely-discussed new book THE GREAT WITHDRAWAL. Smith is a monetary expert frequently interviewed by Fox's Neil Cavuto and other prominent business journalists.

"This artificial (diet) COLA index also rips off taxpayers and investors - even those who pay a premium for TIPS bonds which are supposedly protected against inflation. It robs taxpayers, because the IRS supposedly adjusts its tax tables to offset inflation - yet uses these deceptively low inflation numbers to do so," adds Lowell Ponte, co-author and a former think tank futurist.  "It harms everyone who relies on Cost-of-Living increases to keep their head above water."
