The re-election of President Barak Obama will allow him to continue his Rule by Fiat and to push his socialistic agenda. This, in turn, will rejuvenate Big Labor’s most coveted objective, "Card Check." The President will continue his drive to circumvent Congress through the use of Executive Orders and regulatory actions, with a goal of destroying the free enterprise system and replacing it with a socialistic society. Petraeus Betrayed His Country Before He Betrayed His Wife

Was David Petraeus as great a general as the write-ups of his downfall routinely claim? This is a provocative question that I will begin to answer with another question: Did America prevail in the Iraq War? I suspect few would say "yes" and believe it, which is no reflection on the valor and sacrifice of the American and allied troops who fought there. On the contrary, it was the vaunted strategy of the two-step Petraeus "surge" that was the blueprint of failure. While U.S. troops carried out Part One successfully by fighting to establish basic security, the "trust" and "political reconciliation" that such security was supposed to trigger within Iraqi society never materialized in Part Two. Meanwhile, the "Sunni awakening" lasted only as long as the U.S. payroll for Sunni fighters did. [more...]

Exclusive Video: Chicago Teachers Union Forgets the Veterans on Veterans Day

On Monday, November 12th (the observed Veterans Day), the Chicago Teachers Union organized a protest - not to honor vets, but to protest school closures. Ironically, all Chicago public schools were closed that day to honor military veterans who served our nation.

Judging by the resistance of union activists to answer simple questions on the video below, it’s unlikely EAGnews will be on the CTU’s Christmas - oops, we mean winter holiday - card list.

And let’s hope all the four-letter words used during the protest aren’t standard fare in Chicago classrooms each day - those days, of course, that they aren’t on strike or embracing some radical political agenda instead of American exceptionalism. [See the video here...]

I predicted Mitt Romney would win the 2012 election in a landslide. What went wrong? Was my prediction based on hope or bias? My prediction was based on a combination of scientific evidence and common sense. First, it was based on common sense that no president could possibly be re-elected with the worst economy of our lifetimes - with an economy that has produced more months above 8% unemployment (43 of them to be exact) than produced by all the presidents between Harry Truman and George W. Bush combined (39). People just don't vote for the guy that brings you misery, malaise, foreclosures and bankruptcies, record unemployment, and inflation at the gas pump and grocery store. I have been studying/critiquing Petraeus for years. Go here for articles. Here is the latest: First, the WSJ; now the NYT: CIA Director David Petraeus is feeling a little heat from the spotlight regarding Benghazi. It's an extremely soft-focus spot, however, one that obscures the most important question regarding Petraeus' role in Obama administration mendacity in characterizing what was a planned terrorist attack as a violent melee growing from a "spontaneous" protest over a Youtube video. That most important question is, Why, three days after this terrorist attack that killed four Americans in Benghazi, did Petraeus go before the House Intelligence Committee and brief lawmakers that a Youtube video was to blame for a "spontaneous" protest - wholly fictitious - that "went on," as ranking Democrat Dutch Ruppersberger told ABC on September 14 following the Petraeus briefing, "for two to three hours?" Mitt Romney’s tenure at Bain Capital and a characterization of his challenger as a vile individual whose only goal was to further enrich those who were already wealthy at the expense of hard working, middle class Americans. Lists of voter contacts and compilations of social media information already in the Obama campaign’s possession underwent a strengthening process through use of something known as political “data mining.” Data mining is routinely used by government and by industry in an effort to extract patterns embedded in large information sources. He is well on his way to fundamentally transforming the First Amendment’s protection of freedom of speech to a more Sharia-friendly version. The transformation is playing out before our eyes in the persecution of the producer of the anti-Islam video blamed by Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and other top administration officials for the Benghazi murders. The day after Obama’s re-election victory lap, the video producer, Mark Basseley Youssef, was sentenced by a federal district court judge to one year in prison for violating the terms of his probation. Christie Says "Bigots" Attacking Him on Radical Islam

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, often described as a "rock star" in the Republican Party, has finally addressed the criticism of his courtship of Islamists. On July 24, Christie held an Iftar dinner at the Governor's Mansion, attended by Imam Mohammad Qatanani, a Hamas-linked cleric whose deportation is sought by the Department of Homeland Security. Christie reiterated his support for Qatanani and made the case to his Muslim audience that he is their ally by ridiculing the "bigots" attacking him. Christie opens by talking about the attacks on "our relationship" (between him and, as he would characterize it, the Muslim community of N.J.) that show a "gaze of intolerance that's going around our country that is disturbing."  [more...]

Speaker of the House John Boehner didn’t even make it 24 hours past the election before making offers to give in to President Obama on higher taxes. Anyone thinking that the House of Representatives under his leadership has any chance of holding the line for Republicans until the 2014 midterm elections is dreaming. Across the country, people have been speaking out against union election intimidation, including both union and non-union employees who are outraged by Big Labor’s attempt to steal the election for its last hope of survival, President Barack Obama. The materials being used by labor unions are an outrage, and if an employer utilized any of these methods towards their employees, they would be crucified by the mainstream media! Yet none of these ruthless, bullying tactics have been explored by the mainstream media. By the time the election dust clears on Wednesday morning, we should have a better idea of how much clout teachers unions have with the public these days. Education reform and school funding debates have been raging in states and communities throughout the nation, and voters will be asked to solve many of those disputes at the polls tomorrow. The issues range from acceptance or rejection of sweeping education reforms, proposed tax increases to finance public schools, the future of collective bargaining privileges for teachers unions, the existence of charter schools, the ability of one state to forcibly manage failing schools, and the ability of citizens to control runaway public employee pension costs. More Details on Benghazi

On September 17, Reuters ran a story headlined: "Intel agencies warned U.S. Embassy in Egypt of possible violence." That's nice. So why didn't "intel agencies" warn the US Embassy in Libya of possible violence, too? Presumably because the "intel agences" -- Petraeus' CIA, no doubt -- were focused on a "video threat" in Egypt, not in Libya, and on September 10 they cabled the embassy in Egypt accordingly. Egypt was indeed jump-starting another Islamic rage cycle from a Youtube video clip, "Innocence of Muslims," whose producer, incredibly, remains in jail on "parole violations." But, conveniently forgotten amid the many administration statements that there was no forewarning of an attack in Libya, AQ leader Ayman al-Zawaheri uploaded a video of his own on September 9 and 10 calling for Libyans to attack the U.S. to avenge the U.S. killing of a senior AQ leader from Libya, Yahya al-Libi. In the wake of hurricane Sandy, a vision of the federal government as our savior has emerged.  This romanticized vision of the benefits of an ever expanding government taking control to affect everything from our waistlines, to breast feeding, to mandatory vaccinations, to how we live and die needs to be considered. What price are we paying to allow the government to extend far beyond its role of protecting us from enemies by descending into a nanny state? For some, the sight of people standing in lines for hours for gasoline or those huddled in their homes with limited or no supplies of food and water provide an answer to this question. For them, dependence on the government has led to potentially tragic vulnerability. We as a people have voluntarily ceded our individual authority and responsibility to a system that is designed to treat us as a collective group of children who are incapable of making decisions for the good of ourselves and of our families. President Obama, his administration and his campaign have done everything they can to deflect attention from the Benghazi attacks, lie about it, and cover it up to keep it out of the public eye so that he can get reelected. But even if he’s reelected, that won’t be the end of it. Deflects, lies, and videotape are the very issues that could not only stop Obama’s reelection; they could bring down his presidency even if he is reelected. Did Iran Have a Hand in Benghazi?

There have been a slew of breaking reports concerning what might have drawn the late Ambassador Christopher Stevens to Benghazi on September 10 and 11. The different strands of this developing story indicate that Stevens may have been there to oversee or inspect an ongoing covert CIA operation to supply weapons and men to the jihadist-dominated "rebels" fighting Syria's Assad. Stevens' last meeting, after all, was with Turkish Consul General Ali Sait Akin. Turkey, of course, with Qatar and Saudi Arabia, is a leading supporter of the "rebels" fighting to overthrow Assad. Alabama Democrats Dangle Big Teacher Raise Proposal One Week before Election

There’s pandering for votes, and then there’s corruption. Craig Ford, the Democratic Minority Leader of the Alabama House of Representatives, has both down to perfection. One week before Election Day, he announced plans to introduce a bill giving all government school teachers a 10 percent raise over two years. “The cost of living for educators, retirees and state employees has increased by 10 percent since their last pay increase. But this pay increase will also help recruit quality teachers and be a boost for the statewide economy,” Ford was quoted. [more...]
