Nothing Says Political Like Selma

The President went to Selma, Alabama to celebrate and commemorate the march across the bridge that helped bring civil rights to the forefront, into the living rooms of all Americans, and help move it forward. I say celebrate the sacrifices made that day in Selma by people of all colors, yes, mostly black, but many others as well. The actions of those people that day sparked and continued a movement that couldn’t and won’t be stopped! Jump ahead 50 years. We have a black president, a black attorney general, and many positions of authority at the White House are filled by people who have black skin (sorry, I’m not calling them all “African-American” because I have been told by many blacks that they are not all of African descent). We have come a long way in 50 years. I have to say, the President made many good and honest remarks in his speech about the sacrifices made that day for black Americans. But it stops there. Racism in America

Two Ferguson police officers resigned after the release of a Justice Department report that cited racist e-mail exchanges involving members of the city’s police force and local court officials; and, likewise, Court Clerk Mary Ann Twitty was fired Wednesday due to similar issues. The e-mails depicted several malicious jokes that were based on offensive stereotypes. This happened shortly before a weekend that honored the 50th anniversary of the civil rights march on Selma, which led to a change in voting laws. Selma represents a darker time in U.S. history where 50 years later the nation’s first black president delivered a speech on the same bridge among recent ugly months full of racially controversial events yet again. Time for New York to Lift the Mixed Martial Arts Ban

New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo is seeking to reverse an existing state law regarding mixed martial arts (MMA). MMA was actually banned in New York, the only state in the nation to do so; this occurred when Sheldon Silver held the position of Speaker of the New York State Assembly. The action that Gov. Cuomo is currently contemplating would provide, among other things, a much needed boost to the economy of the Empire State. [more...]

NASA Admits That Winters are Going to Get Colder... Much Colder

Climate change has been a volatile issue for years, even amongst leading scientists and researchers from other disciplines. In his new book, Dark Winter: How the Sun is Causing a 30-Year Cold Spell, scientist John L. Casey, a former White House national space policy advisor, NASA headquarters consultant and space shuttle engineer, tells the truth about ominous changes taking place in the climate and the sun. Climatologist Casey thinks that last year's winter, described by USA Today as "one of the snowiest, coldest, most miserable on record" is going to be a regular occurrence over the coming decades. Casey asserts that there is mounting evidence that the Earth is getting cooler due to a decline in solar activity. He warns that a major alteration of global climate has already started and that at a minimum, it is likely to last 30 years. Casey predicts food shortages and civil unrest caused by those shortages due largely to governments not preparing for the issues that colder weather will bring. He also predicts that wickedly bitter winter temperatures will see demand for electricity and heating outstrip the supply. [more...]

Tom Cotton's Deal: Republicans Are Not Traitors

It was only the beginning when Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke before Congress about Iran and the very serious topics Andrew G. Bostom, M.D., M.S. describes in his explosive new book, Iran's Final Solution for Israel - The Legacy of Shi'ite Islamic Jew-Hatred in Iran. Now comes a letter sent by 47 Republican senators to Iranian leaders in defiance of President Barack Obama with freshman Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas leading the pack. "We're making sure that Iran's leaders understand if Congress doesn't approve a deal, Congress won't accept a deal," says Cotton. The letter was addressed to the "Leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

Dr. Bostom will explain why we must support Sen. Tom Cotton/the GOP-47 and their letter to Iran, as a means of ending these self-destructive "negotiations" with a Shiite theocratic regime whose ugly and dangerous ideological pillars are jihadism, Islamic Jew-hatred, and the active dehumanization of all non-Muslims via "najis" - "uncleanliness of the infidel" - doctrine.

The doctrine of "najis" is very much alive as evidenced by Iranian theocratic leader Ayatollah Khamenei's 2013 tweet about Israel as an "unclean rabid dog," and his 2013 fatwa against "unclean" Bahai - a religious minority within Iran - that has increased their dehumanizing persecution. Parva Rahmanian's family used to run a flower shop in Iran - until the government revoked their business license. The reason given was simple: as Baha'is, they were "unclean" - and so were their floral designs. The uncleanliness of the Baha'is was, to the world's great shock and outrage, the subject of a recent (2013) fatwa by the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, which stated, "Any communication, friendship, or association with the Baha'i, a damned sect, must be avoided." Subsequently, Parva Rahmanian and her family "received a letter from the Justice Bureau saying that as a florist, one's hands get wet while decorating flowers, and given that Baha'is are considered unclean by the high-ranking clerics... the work permit was revoked"

Using Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif's interview last Wednesday on NBC News as an example, Dr. Bostom can also explain how Iran practices "takiya" - sanctioned Islamic dissimulation - in negotiations, as part of its jihad doctrine, rendering the whole idea of talks, dubious at best, and self-destructive at worst. 

Republican Liberty Caucus Announces Wayne Allyn Root as Chairman of National Campaign Committee

The National Board of the Republican Liberty Caucus (RLC) has voted to name Wayne Allyn Root as Chairman of its National Campaign Committee as well as Chairman of the RLC Advisory Board. Root, now back to his lifelong Republican roots, was the Libertarian vice presidential nominee in 2008, as well as an elected board member of the Libertarian National Committee, and Chairman of the Libertarian National Campaign Committee.

One of America’s most vocal critics of the Obama administration, Root is a frequent radio and TV guest, political commentator, syndicated political columnist, and the author of the national bestselling books, "The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide" and "The Murder of the Middle Class."

"We are very excited to have Wayne on board," said Matt Nye, RLC National Chairman. "Wayne is an extremely talented, charismatic and dynamic media personality; he's an outspoken advocate for liberty, but he is particularly fierce on economic freedom and the U.S. Constitution."

At the time Root joined the Libertarian Presidential ticket in 2008, the Bob Barr-Wayne Root presidential ticket was the second most successful vote-getter in the party's history. Root says that experience showed him just how heavily the scales are tilted in favor of the two-party system.

Bibi Destroys Iran and Obama with One Masterful Speech

Americans and the world got a lesson in chutzpah with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu's speech before Congress on Tuesday. That’s the Jewish word for "balls." No one else in the world could have pulled off what Bibi did. Talk about a masterful speech. Netanyahu walked into a joint session of the U.S. Congress like he owned it, like he was the President of the United States. He received 29 standing ovations. If you just dropped in from another planet, you might have assumed you were watching U.S. President Netanyahu give his State of the Union. Keep in mind Bibi is the leader of a tiny nation with the population of some anonymous, obscure African nation. Yet he held court over the U.S. Congress for almost an hour like he was the most powerful man in the world, like he was the leader of America, Russia, China, the U.K. or Germany. That takes chutzpah. Personal Business Breach – Another Clinton Transgression

While former President Bill Clinton was shocked to learn that the artist who painted a portrait of him hanging in the National Portrait Gallery had also discreetly included Monica Lewinsky’s dress shadow in the painting, the rest of the nation was shocked to learn that Hillary Clinton only used a personal e-mail address during her tenure as Secretary of State. And it turns out that her more casual way of conducting business may have violated federal requirements. It is extremely unusual for such a high-office official to use their personal account professionally. I’d give her a break if she slipped up between her different mobile in boxes occasionally, but it turns out that she didn’t even have a government e-mail address. Fortunately, this is not the norm within our government, since it’s an obvious security risk in addition to being more difficult to track e-mail records. [more...]

It's an Ice Age for Sure

In his new book, Dark Winter: How the Sun is Causing a 30-Year Cold Spell, scientist John L. Casey, a former White House national space policy advisor, NASA headquarters consultant and space shuttle engineer, tells the truth about ominous changes taking place in the climate and the sun. The fact is the Earth had been in a cooling cycle that began in 1996 when the sun entered a cycle of reduced radiation. Such cycles were well known and most dramatically tied to the mini-ice age that occurred between 1300 and 1850. Solar observers had noticed many centuries ago that when there were few sunspots - magnetic storms - on the surface of the Sun, the Earth got colder. This has become especially dramatic because, on February 17 a post on thesiweather.com called for a discussion of the fact that "The Sun has gone quiet again during the weakest solar cycle in more than a century." The post says, "If history is a guide, it is safe to say that weak solar activity for a prolonged period of time can have a negative impact on global temperatures in the troposphere which is the bottom-most layer of Earth's atmosphere - and where we all live." The Reason Obama has it Out for Netanyahu May Be More Terrifying than You Thought Possible

Today a modern Paul Revere arrived in Washington, D.C., to warn us that the terrorists are coming to cities we call home. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu knows this from hard experience as a battle-wounded commando; brother of commando Yonatan killed rescuing skyjacked Israelis in Entebbe, Uganda; and leader of an American ally that faces incessant terrorist attacks.

What prompted Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech before Congress is that Iran – whose theocratic Islamist rulers believe they could trigger an apocalyptic war that brings the cosmic world triumph of Islam – may be within months of producing its first atomic bomb.

Our President, Barack Hussein Obama, has different concerns. He is obsessed with confiscating the guns of law-abiding Americans, yet seems unwilling to lift a finger to prevent Iran’s fanatical rulers from obtaining A-bombs. He reneged on America’s agreement with Poland to establish an anti-missile system there to reduce Iran’s ICBM threat to Europe and the U.S. Mr. Obama was eager to give F-15 jets to the Islamist Egyptian Brotherhood government that toppled our and Israel’s long-time ally Hosni Mubarak in Cairo, but withdrew this offer the instant pro-American, anti-Islamist Egyptian military leaders toppled ruling Brotherhood Islamist radicals.

Mr. Obama has called Iranian nuclear weapons unacceptable, but he has never pledged to use "assertive disarmament" if Iran acquires such weapons. If he is serious, why is this not the declared, unchangeable American position in any negotiation with an Iran that claims to have no A-bomb ambitions? [more...]

Many Democrats and Republicans are disturbed that Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu's invitation by Speaker John Boehner was not either cleared or coordinated by the White House. Because of that, "many Senate Democrats plan to boycott the PM's speech to Congress to show solidarity with Obama." The surface concern is that relations between Obama and Netanyahu, and consequently the U.S. and Israel, will plunge to new lows. Obama refuses to meet with the Prime Minister. The real concern, however, is that hearing publically from Netanyahu, like Margaret Thatcher in 1985, Corazon Aquino in 1980, Benazir Bhutto in 1989, and even Nouri Al-Maliki in 2006, could be disruptive to the ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran. VP Biden Wants to "Emancipate" Private Wealth

"A lot of wealthy white and black people aren't bad, but they control one percent of the economy and this cannot stand," said Vice President Joe Biden during a February 23 speech about Black History Month. "It's not fair because the business experts are saying that concentration of wealth is stunting growth. So let's do something that's worthy of emancipation." Mr. Biden seems to be saying that wealth beyond some relatively low threshold should be confiscated, that the wealth of today's wealthy should be "emancipated" by government because concentrated wealth slows economic growth. Citizens Armed with Cameras, Police Armed with Guns

About three months ago, Tamir Rice, a 12-year-old playing with a pellet gun, was shot dead by Cleveland police. The city’s police department officially responded on Friday to the Rice family’s wrongful death lawsuit against the city, stating that the boy’s death was a direct result of his own actions. Despite the 911 call describing someone with a gun, but warning that the gun might be a fake, surveillance footage shows a Cleveland police patrol car stopping near the 12-year-old, and an officer shooting the boy as soon as they pulled up to him. The Rice family’s lawsuit accuses the officers of using excessive force, of not taking proper medical care of the boy after he had been shot, and of tackling his 14-year-old sister when she tried to help him. Tim Allen's 'Last Man Standing' is a Right of Center Success

In the world of television entertainment, Tim Allen's show, "Last Man Standing," is a comedic oasis, especially for viewers who have longed to see more conservative friendly themes appear within the much-loved sitcom category. Now in its fourth season, the series is proving to be a winner for ABC.

Allen is a major star of both the big and small screen, which is impressive in these times considering that he is also one of those rare commodities in Hollywood, a conservative. Reportedly, the comedic actor assisted in fundraising for Sen. John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign. In what is largely a left-leaning community, Allen stands apart from most of his left coast colleagues; he keeps a rather low profile while at the same time consistently demonstrates an old-school work ethic. And, interestingly, Allen isn't just a conservative in real life, he plays one on TV. [more...]
