NBC's 'American Odyssey' - Anti-Corporate and Anti-Free Speech

NBC has launched a new television series called "American Odyssey," which is based on the premise that an American company that has been funding Islamist terrorist groups is covering up the scandal by using private military contractors who are ready and willing to attack U.S. soldiers. "American Odyssey" is in no way conservative in nature or in substance. The show's creators have indicated that they view the program as a means in which to exhibit their belief that the Citizens United case and U.S. business entities are sources of evil in the modern world. Citizens United is the Supreme Court decision that strengthened free speech in the form of campaign finance and allowed corporations, non-profits, and other entities to participate in the financial support of political candidates. States Resort to Suspending Licenses in Effort to Collect Student Debt

The student loan bubble has ripened to such an extent that over 7 million debtors were in default as of mid-2014 and they're holding on to over $100 billion in outstanding debt. Consequently, both private and federal lenders are exploring a variety of tactics to collect outstanding payments. Those payments, after all, represent forecasted revenues that never arrived. One such tactic employed by the Education Department is engaging private debt collectors to bring in borrowed money. While they often rely on unethical (and illegal) pressure tactics to coerce borrowers to start paying, these glorified bounty hunters have earned over $1.6 billion in commissions and bonuses from 2010 – 2013. Still, when engaging debt collectors just doesn’t cut it, many states resort to other, more punitive means. 22 States have passed litigation that permits them to suspend professional and/or driver's licenses of student loan defaulters. Apple CEO is Hypocrite

The religious freedom act in Indiana has been big news in America recently. Apple CEO Tim Cook was all "fired up" by Indiana's new law. Yet Apple makes billions of dollars selling its products in Russia where gays have no rights; and in Muslim countries like Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, where gays are murdered for their sexual preference; and in China where no one has any civil or human rights. Why doesn't Apple stop selling iPhones and iPads in those countries? Why doesn't Apple close its Moscow store immediately? Hypocrites. [more...]

Tiger Woods - Bad Attitude is Bad for Business

Sunday’s Masters Golf Tournament was a win for the masses. I find that society has grown so sick of self-absorbed athletes, and that is why Jordan Spieth’s victory (a humble, 21-year-old who carried each swing towards victory with class and grace) was the beginning of a new era. This young professional athlete has a long and far-reaching career ahead of him. There is much to be experienced and learned about living in the limelight, for life proves that it is as much about process as it is about results. This also proves true in regards to building one’s career. Businesses are a team operation. As Tiger Woods illustrated by his unsportsmanlike behavior, one bad sport is a bad hire and is therefore also bad for business. As a leading authority on buying, selling and fixing businesses and the best-selling author of "Sell Your Business for More than It’s Worth," my experience and expertise has repeatedly shown me that businesses owned by people servicing a WHY that is bigger than themselves are the ones that excel and become the greatest successes. Mr. President, you say we have been handling Cuba the same way for 50 years and it has changed nothing. You’re right, I agree! They still oppress their people. The Castro brothers are still vicious dictators; they still imprison and torture political prisoners. Their one-percenters are the Castro brothers. They still imprison homosexuals (so much for human rights.) But none of those things bother you. And you think that if we just lighten up and start doing business with them again all that will change? Don't you think if they really wanted freedom for their people they would have installed, or allowed to have elected, a democratic government? What do you think normalizing relations with an oppressive, communist, human rights offending government will do for them, and for that matter, us? Raul Castro wants money and an apology for how we have treated them over the years and I have a sneaky suspicion, Mr. President, that you're trying to figure out how to do that! Egyptian Grand Mufti Attacks Pamela Geller's Bus Ads

Veteran journalist and nonpareil activist gadfly Pamela Geller's current educational bus advertisement campaign introduces the U.S. masses to Islamic Jew-hatred and its Koranic origins.  The ads feature an iconic image of ex-Mufti of Jerusalem Hajj Amin el-Husseini, meeting with his World War II ally, Nazi dictator Adolph Hitler. The doctrinal and historical veracity of Geller's campaign can be readily established, as I will show.

The photo highlighted in Pamela Geller's bus ads captures the ugly historical nexus between Nazi and Islamic Jew-hatred - the latter embodied by Hajj Amin el-Husseini. November 2013, I released the first detailed, textual analysis of el-Husseini's canonical Islamic antisemitism, The Mufti's Islamic Jew-Hatred: What the Nazis Learned from the "Muslim Pope."

During 1938, a booklet Muhammad Sabri edited, "Islam, Judentum, Bolschewismus (Islam, Jewry, Bolshevism)," was published in Berlin including Hajj Amin el-Husseini’s 1937 declaration - also deemed by some as a "fatwa" - appealing to the worldwide Muslim umma (community). El-Husseini's declaration was extracted and reprinted, separately, by the Nazi regime as "Islam und Judentum (Islam and Jewry)," and distributed to Muslim SS units in Bosnia, Croatia, and the Soviet Union.  [Go here for the complete story...]

It seems like the party of "the people" can only win by lying to "the people." Senator Harry Reid admitted that he lied to help Mr. Obama win. He, at this point, is the most honorable man in the Democrat party. You see he is the ONLY Democrat to really come out after being caught and basically say, yup, I did it and I got what I wanted, so sue me. He knew the information on Mitt Romney was false. There was no "insider" at Romney’s company. But he and the rest of the Democrats were okay with lying about it. The now ever-famous and haunting words, "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" was clearly a LIE! "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan" - also a LIE. Defamation Trial for HBO's Bryant Gumbel

A trial is set to begin on April 13th, which has implications for the credibility of the American media and sports news figures. HBO is the defendant in a defamation lawsuit, which is headed to trial in federal court, over a 2008 episode of "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel."

During a segment of Gumbel’s show, it was reported that a sporting equipment maker, Mitre Sports International, manufactured soccer balls using child labor. Mitre makes the exclusive soccer ball of the English Premier League as well as the one used in Major League Soccer. The fundamental question in this particular legal case is whether Gumbel's cable television sports show featured a phony investigative report involving exploited child workers. The segment in question, titled "Childhood Lost," depicts children stitching soccer balls in India for 5 cents per hour or less. Mitre filed the lawsuit in the same year that the broadcast aired. The suit asks for tens of millions of dollars in damages, claiming that the segment was a "hoax" and further asserting that the content of the report was "fabricated" or "dramatized." [more...]

The grand confab of world leaders is set for November 30 to December 15 this year. The White House goal is to have a consensus climate agreement that it will then use to signify President Obama's coronation as the global leader who saved the planet from mankind's climate changing CO2. At least that's the plan. Unfortunately, no comprehensive mandatory international agreement is forthcoming; far from it. As one diplomat observed, under this President "it has become more dangerous to be America's friend than to be its enemy."  And many parents now believe you should "teach your children Spanish and your grandchildren Chinese" because America is going into eclipse. One Bad Hire Ends 150 Lives

Following the aftermath of the fated German airlines tragedy, I can’t help but reinforce how crucial it is for business owners to asses and thoroughly investigate all potential employees they look into hiring. How did such an esteemed airline such as Germanwings miss such a huge warning sign that their pilot, Andreas Lubitz, was unfit and unstable to hold such an employment position? When an employee reviews the credentials of a potential hire, they must first determine that the employee is more likely to be a benefit rather than a detriment to their establishment. The judgement utilized by Germanwings was not thorough enough. It is not enough to go on intuition in today’s age; we must collect data and background information on a person that can be used to better predict how they would perform as a worker in a prospective employment position.
